Was having a great time until we noticed what appeared to be MOLD on the ICE Machine dispenser. Told manager and was told it wasn't mold. This did ruin the experience. No one attempted to clean it at all. The food was decent but that rotisserie chicken taco tasted overcooked pasty. No lids for fountain drinks cups. We paid for the combo's with the fountain drinks but decided to get the canned olipop. So after putting 60 bucks of gas in car. Driving all the way to Paces Ferry to spend 70 more bucks. Them not taking immediate action made us question the cleanliness of the restaurant. Didn't see a food score posted. Won't be going back to this location. Sad part is I reported to their online system. Some guy named Jeff sent me an A I generated response. Then I explained the seriousness of the situation and no one every replied ‍

Got the special for two tacos, personal side and a fountain. $15 seemed pretty good. First the good: queso is solid. Fountain drinks are tuned properly. Then the bad. Tacos are cheap and thick tortillas soaked in oil/grease. I had the fish and chips. There is some weird curry mayo in this that makes it strange and not good. Also small amount of fish. The birria is even worse! Check out the pic. Hardly any meat. Lastly there is no hot salsa to be offered at a bar or on the table. Oh and they request 18, 20, or 25% tip for counter service where you bus your own tray and the tables are dirty! I tip for service not for guilt. I will not be back. Did I mention the coke machine is tuned properly? Highlight of the trip.

Their seasonal veggie bowl was absolutely outstanding! It really stood out compared to other taco restaurants. The service was a little slow (we ordered our food ahead of time and it was past what we were told it would be). But overall great place to grab some Mexican!

Tacos are amazing! I'm vegetarian and I love the taco choices they had. They are so flavorful and decently sized. I had the Nashville Hot Tofu taco and cauliflower taco. Both were so good!! We also ordered the elote and queso blanco dips which were amazing and a little spicy. The space inside is pretty big and there are plenty of tables to sit at. Service was fast and friendly.

Velvet Taco in Buckhead is amazing, the menu selection is fun and it has a great variety. We ordered six tacos and every one of the tacos was delicious and properly seasoned. We sat outside since it was such a beautiful day and inside the restaurant was too cold. They were quick to have our order ready. We will be back to try more.

I am from Texas and I aways love velvet taco. Been to many many locations, it's a fusion taco place with better appetizers than torchys taco for when you want to spice up life a bit. Music always throws me back into some college glory days trance and appreciate the quick seating and self-service. Chip refills are always quick and free + good for groups. One note - I got the bowl - would not get again. The "slaw" substitute for rice was not a highquality salad, the unspecified veggies ended up being like 1/3 mushrooms when its the one veggie I don't like. I go back to delicious tacos next time for sure.

The Velvet Taco is such an awesome spot to get really good tacos. This location has easy parking and the counter serve service is quick. The tacos are pretty big and I felt 2 were plenty but if you're really hungry then order 3. The fried chicken and waffle taco intrigued me since they use the waffle as the taco shell and it did not disappoint. It has syrup on it too so it's good for those with a sweet tooth. I also got a fried fish taco which was delicious. Looking forward to coming back and trying other flavors!

I got a late night dinner here! I love their menu, each has really popping flavors or a unique twist to it. I chose to get 3 tacos: Left: Mexi-Cali Shrimp Middle: Quesa Birria Duo Right: Chicken & Waffle If I had to rank it, I'd put the quesa birria duo first, then chicken and waffle, and then mexi-cali shrimp (ironically in the opposite order I ate them in). There's free parking in the plaza (I think? It says you can park in the plaza but not there for the salty donut).

Tacos and Margs and guac, oh my! Location and Parking Located in Buckhead in the same shopping plaza as whole foods, parking is free. Venue and Atmosphere The vibe is laid back yet colorful, with the menu on full display and enticing pictures of select foods and beverages. Order at the counter, get your drinks, and sit where you'd like. They'll call your name when your food is ready. Seating is communal, but there's plenty of room to spread out. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages The food is all good, but some tacos are better than others. The birria tacos were delish, but the meat on the rotisserie chicken taco lacked flavor. While the trimmings pulled the taco together nicely, they were absolutely necessary; the meat would not have stood up on its own. A few days later I ordered Velvet Taco catering for a party, and the chicken tikka and brisket tacos were stand-outs. I would absolutely order those again. I also ordered the sangria/margarita swirl (strong yet sweet) and the guacamole (also delish). I highly recommend them both. Verdict I'll be back!

What initially starts out feeling like some hipster, nuveau take on Mexican food (which I suppose technically it is sort of) turns into a tasty dining experience. At least from the standpoint of grabbing a lunch. As it should be, access to a good selection of Mexican soft drinks like Mexican Coke and Jarritos. Both of the tacos were surprisingly tasty. Normally I this type of restaurant it's just OK, but in this case the meat was very juicy and tender for both tacos. The distinct flavor was not only very tasty, but also very distinguishable between them. Enough that one could determine what one was eating in the blindfolded taste test. Definitely recommend to get the corn tortillas. The music was a little too loud, and if dining in, one would have to be comfortable with the communal table concept. But the hot sauce was tasty, and there was plenty of napkins and paper towels. Another note, the order before mine was for 10 people or so. I was expecting to have to wait a long time, but my taco was ready in a handful of minutes. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Nothing beats Nashville hot tofu tacos at 2am. The tacos tasted extra flavorful and it seemed like the tofu tenders got bigger and were crispier than usual. One taco honestly got the job done.

This place is cute, but a little cold on the inside. They have 3 spaces for parking in an underground lot that looks residential. The menu is huge and on the wall. We tried the make your own two taco kit, upgraded to an adult beverage, which was well done. The counter folks were nice but the client does all the food delivery and table bussing, at these prices it's a no for me. The food was just average, but the clever taco ideas were good. Cauliflower was a miss because it was incredibly salty. Same with Birria, to the point of being inedible. Chicken and Waffle is delicious but flimsy.

Great location, a lot of choices. The spicy chicken tikka taco gave me bad heartburn so I'm never getting that again. It had good chicken pieces and I ate the whole thing but regretted it later. I didn't like the elote cup and chips. I liked it last time! I will try a couple different tacos next time. I had a bite of the roasted chicken one and it was great.

Before the food even came out, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The place has a fun, lively vibe with colorful décor and great music that makes it feel like the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy good food, and have a good time. The crispy tortilla was packed with tender, flavorful birria, melted cheese, fresh cilantro, and onions, and the rich consommé on the side took every bite to another level. The best surprise? I thought they only gave me two quesadillas. I was already happy with that, but after finishing one, I lifted the other and discovered there was a third one hiding underneath! It felt like finding money in an old pair of jeans. Needless to say, I was even more excited. The portion size is definitely worth it--you won't leave hungry. Everything tasted fresh, the birria was juicy and well-seasoned, and dipping each bite into that consommé was absolutely the right move. Service was fast and professional. If you're in Midtown and craving authentic, comforting Mexican food, this is an easy recommendation. Great atmosphere, generous portions, and seriously delicious food. I'll definitely be back!

They have quickly become my favorite place to get Mexican food. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on Buford Highway in a small shopping plaza. The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!

It was a little pricey at $14 for 3 small-ish tacos, but each taco was packed with meat. I also got a taco de la abuela with pastor meat. For their street tacos, they have normal street tacos for $3.25, or for $0.25 more you can get the same taco with a handmade tortilla (aka taco de la abuela). I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. The restaurant is kept clean and there's a serve yourself salsa bar. I'm glad that I've found a good taco spot nearby! We waited only a few minutes and was able to navigate the small lot to get a spot. There is a designated window for pre-orders and walk-ups have a separate line. It wasn't that long when we were there, but was out the door when we left. Ordering was easy as we got a chance to preview the paper menu, and we were given a card to place on our table once we found it. There was plenty of seating options despite the full lot, but it was nice out so a lot of people were out on the patio with views of the busy intersection. The decor was modern and airy. We checked out the salsa bar while we waited for our appetizer and I found the jalapeno roasted garlic, which was spicy and amazing!!
