Tofu and Veggies Noodle Soup w/side of grilled chicken and tea
    Jill B.

A basic Vietnamese restaurant: good service, tasty cuisine but nothing outstanding. I always get the Veggie Phò with a side of grilled chicken and add lots of Sirarcha. It's a good cure for a cold! Not a fancy restaurant but clean and great value.

We had a nice lunch here recently. The food was all really good, very similar to our usual place. My husband complained that the entrance area needed some cleaning and he wasn't wrong. The eating area seemed okay though and we had no other problems. I would go again sometime.

I love the bun Bo hue from this restaurant. Nice amount of spice. The noodles are also smaller than your usual BBH noodles. Large portions and the food is very fresh. The spring rolls are also tasty.

LOVED my Pho AND my appetizer! Staff was friendly, restaurant was clean! I would recommend this establishment.

Surprisingly decent Vietnamese food in the Havertown area. The broken rice dishes and pho were both good! Super comforting and flavorful dishes. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. Service was friendly and attentive. Bathroom was pretty dirty which could use improvement. The other speciality entrees were not too noteworthy, but I do recommend a classic rice with grilled meat or pho from Hanoi's.

    Big bowl - bland

I love Vietnamese food and had the pleasure of attending dinners and parties at my Vietnamese friend's houses. Pho, I hear, is not a fast and simple to make and like Italian gravy it can vary in taste based on the ingredients and how it's made. Ordered well done flank pho. The rice noodles were thicker and not soft - I'm use to soft thin noodles and the meat was randomly sliced thick vs very thin sliced . Unfortunately the meat was chewy and tough and should belong in a stir fry. Broth had a greasy layer on top and tasted greasy and bland. Noodles were hard and chewy. After a few bites , unfortunately I stopped eating and as much I hate to waste food - no doggy bag. Maybe I'm missing something- like this is the style of cooking but not my style.

What an unsatisfying and dry vermicelli. The grilled pork was too overcooked and even lacked flavor. Such a disappointing meal!

I was missing home cooked meals and decided to try the place out after a friend suggested it. Legit pho place and taken me by surprise considering it's in Delco. The pho is comparable to places in Philly. I recommend coming here. I also ordered a clay pot fish dish, which was alright. Not the same as from home. Overall, good place for Vietnamese food. I will definitely come back.

If I was in Philly, I'd go to Chinatown for Pho, but in Delco this is the next best thing(that I know of so far). Hanoi's is my dinner go to. I usually get some sort of Pho and Papaya or Lotus salad. I've yet to be disappointed with these items. The biggest downside is that the salads can run out later in the day or they may not have an ingredient like tilapia. Also, the salad dressing is delicious but definitely leaves me parched (not sure if it's the sodium/vinegar content). The Pho is flavorful in every bit. The greens and lotus roots pack a crisp bite. The fried rice doesn't ooze oil. Maybe a bowl of Pho is cheaper in Chinatown, but considering Hanoi's proximity, I don't mind paying the extra.

Perhaps the best chicken pho this side of the DMZ. Fast, authentic, and we always leave a big tip!

The bread was just the right level of crispy, and all the ingredients were right on point. Definitely would come back to try another banh mi, or another dish! They were good about service as well - the server came by many times to refill our water, and when I had a complaint about what didn't look right in my sandwich the first time, he went and made another one. Inside, it's not a huge space, but it looks nice inside and is pretty clean. Probably not great for a big group, but good for smaller groups. I'd be down to return!

The food was not good. Dumbed down. Missing almost everything I expect in Vietnamese/Thai food…read more.. mint, Thai basil, cilantro, fish sauce, chiles, maybe perilla, lemongrass, garlic, ginger, shallots, etc.. Biting into the small summer roll ("Garden Roll") was the opposite of the refreshing crisp, pop-of-herbs & vegetable bite, I expect. Peanut sauce was OK. Banh mi didn't seem to be dressed and had no jalapenos, but did have a sprig (1) of cilantro. Dominant flavor came from the sesame seeds on the roll. Sauce for the salad was a one dimensional - a thin sugar syrup. Another bad meal in a trend of bad meals in this area. So who do I blame - the restaurant or the customers who ensure that bland food like this continues to be output ? Because, after all, a restaurant needs to please its customers to stay in business. Maybe the restaurant should post a warning or offer an option for authentic food. Oh, also... When I was trying to place the order through the website, it tells me orders are not being accepted. Then I'm sent to DoorDash to place the order. Seriously!? I used the phone.

My wife and I ordered two typical options pho and Banh mi. She chose MamaMi Special Pho (with the combo of flanks, brisket, tendon, and meat ball. I was not good. The beef was sliced too think, the tendon was not fully cooked and felt like chewing rubber. The soup base was not rich in flavor just salty. Although my Banh mi plate was actually pretty good with all the ingredients cooked on a sizzling skillet when they served it. You wrap your own hoagie with the toasted baguette. I would not recommend this place for pho. Did not try their vermiculite, so no comment on that choice.

The three of us ordered a lot of different food and tried many things - it all came out fresh and hot. My steamed shrimp pho soup was extraordinary in flavor depth. I added a side of bok choi and broccoli. A side plate of sprouts, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime came with it. We also tried a variety of appetizers (see photos). Another stand out was the Vietnamese "hoagie" - what a nice surprise. For an Asian cuisine restaurant, the roll was amazing! The place is small and busy with take out so the door opened and closed a lot. It was a little chilly inside because of this. No big deal. The staff were friendly and the service adequate. We will be going back to see what else MamaMi has to offer - would recommend!
