I bit the bullet and experienced my first dine-in since Covid because I could not fathom eating takeout of warm bread after a 30 minute commute to get home. There was only one other family inside and we were socially distanced. Prior to covid, I would check out Little Sicily almost every time I visit my family in WV. This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing. My sampler of kebabs, with rice, hummus, and side salad did not disappoint. I look forward to eating here again when I visit my family for the holidays. I'm not even going to beat around the bush here, I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza from here the other night and it honestly might be the worst pizza I've ever had. I've ate here before, and didn't mind their food, but this was my first time ordering pizza. Their calzones are decent, and their Mediterranean food is probably the best options they have to offer. I'm not saying you should completely avoid Little Sicily.... Just their pizza at all costs. It has the type of cheese that makes you wonder if it's even real. And the sauce was very watery! We were on our way from Indianapolis to North Carolina and were looking for a place to stop for dinner. My husband was in the mood for either Italian food, a gyro or a burger. And look and behold I found a place that had them all. The menu is mainly Italian, but also has a good number of Mediterranean dishes and also some American sandwiches including a couple of burgers. We started with the Sicily Sampler which normally comes with baba ganoush, hummus, grape leaves and mozzarella sticks. Neither my husband nor I are big fans of grape leaves so we asked if we could substitute either extra baba or hummus. I think they gave us extra of both, because the servings were ample. The hummus and baba we're the stars for my entire meal. The pita was warm and soft with just and light outer crispness, i.e. yummy. For the main course, I got Spaghetti with Meatballs and my husband got Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. Both dishes came with a side salad and garlic bread. Neither of us were overly impressed with our spaghettis. They were good, just not a wow. The salad was good and included kalamata olives.....they had me with the olives. And the garlic bread was the right amount of crunch and soft. I felt the prices were good -- especially for the amounts you got. Servings are large. We both agreed that we should have split an entree -- especially with the appetizer. So if you go, go hungry. read more

This was a last minute stop for dinner while passing through town. We saw a lot of very good Yelp reviews, and that made this the place to stop. We aren't quite sure if the reviews were family and friends or if the local restaurant options are so limited that this place stands out. We were underwhelmed. Nothing was bad. Doesn't look like much from the outside. Doesn't like much on the inside either but oh the food! Never have dined at a place that had mid eastern and Italian specialties and both were fantastic. Chicken Shawarma wrap is the best I've ever had. Daughter had a Caprese salad and wife was very pleased with her hummus as well. BBQ wings for my son were a hit. They also have some type of triangular, puffy homemade bread that is complimentary and served with warm sauce and a garlic dip that is to die for. Well, I would have loved to try Little Sicily for dinner tonight... but we were turned away from a 75% empty restaurant, saying they "wouldn't be able to seat us for 20 minutes" because the kitchen was overrun with carry out orders. Now, I appreciate the honesty, but what an absurd idea to turn away in-person customers standing in front of a mostly empty dining room. Why not just say, "we can seat you, but our kitchen is particularly busy. There may be a longer wait for your food tonight." Then the customer knows the situation and gets to decide for themselves whether the extra wait is worth it. It's not very often that we get unique, non-chain restaurants in Beckley, so we usually go out of our way to support them. However, I don't imagine I'll be coming back to Little Sicily after this negative experience. read more

Good food, huge portions family friendly the only complaint I have is it was to warm for my taste and the location is hard to get in and out of but other then that everything was wonderful. We got the douby douby bread as a starter and for dinner I got the kebab sampler and my husband got the chicken Alfredo. After 2 days of gorging on fried food my gut was overjoyed to find Mediterranean in Beckley. I showed up just as they opened for lunch and was seated right away. Overall customer service was awesome and the food was fantastic. That said, I have 3 gripes. #1-It took 30 min for my chicken kabobs to come out. My salad came out quickly, but it's a salad so that's kinda to be expected. #2- It was pretty pricey considering I just got chicken and a salad. Total came out to $18. #3-I got no pita bread! I've never been to a Mediterranean restaurant where a few pita squares were NOT thrown on with a salad or an entree. The food was legit but I was not too jazzed by the overall experience. read more

My sister loves this place. And the food really is delicious. I'm just disappointed by the service. Every-time we go there our food takes minimum 45 minutes usually longer to get out. So tonight, We decided to do take out for dinner tonight to give us a break from cooking. We ordered 4 items. I paid 50 bucks including tip. We pick it up, get home and an order is missing. Most of the food is already cool and now she's having to go pick up the missing order so our food will be even colder. What a pleasant surprise as I stopped halfway between Myrtle Beach and Cleveland in Beckley WVa! I started with the delicious baba ghanouj, served with the freshest pita bread I've ever had. I wanted to try everything on the menu because it all looked so good, but I just wasn't that hungry. So I had a cup of the tomato basil soup which was tastily topped with home made garlic-seasoned croutons and the grape leaves. I've never experienced grape leaves that melted in my mouth before. Upon arrival (around 515) we were the only customers there and were seated promptly. The menu is interesting featuring very Mediterranean and Italian choices. We asked out waitress where the owners were from and apparently they're from Egypt! My wife and I started our meal with Caprese salad (tomatoes, large basil leaves, mozzarella cheese and balsamic reduction) which was very good. When are food arrived it was fantastic. I came here for lunch. A few weeks ago. The food was ok. I ordered the boneless lemon pepper wings and the onion rights. The onion rings were good and crunchy, as I requested. The lemon pepper wings were not very tasty. It was too much lemon and not enough pepper so the chicken had a very tart lemon taste and the pepper did not balance it out. I'd come back again but I would definitely order another entree. The service was good and the food came quickly. I am not from the area but my co-worker tells me this place is one of the better Italian places, so I assume I'd have better luck with a more traditional dish. read more

Classic Italian dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, but also varieties such as lobster ravioli, shrimp fettuccini, and others. Calzones and Stromboli loomed delicious.
