My son had the sweet tooth yesterday. Yelp pointed me to Little Sister Cake Shop - it was close to where we were. We ended up ordering a slice of cake and two cinnamon rolls. Both were "good" but I felt the cake was a bit pricey for the size of the slice. The take pricing was $10 slice or $120 for the cake -- both of which were not vey big. So, for me the taste / size / value ratio was not aligned. The place was decorated nicely and the staff were friendly; however the order took a bit of time to come out. Because of the time, I figured the desserts would have been heated. They were not. They were cut and packaged "as is" which meant the cinnamon rolls were room temp and the cake was refrigerator cold. Little Sister Cake Shop, formerly known as Becca Cakes, was my last stop of 2025 and I'm glad I finally made it in since the rebranding. The interior is very cozy and inviting. I came in for an afternoon sweet treat and a coffee pick me up. I decided to try their seasonal fresh mint mocha and sticky toffee loaf even though their cinnamon rolls were calling my name. The sticky toffee loaf was super moist and was just the right size vs their huge, rich cinnamon rolls which was a little too much for a small snack. Service is counter service, but the workers are super friendly. It looked like they had people coming in to order specialty wedding cakes as well. This is such a cute little place!! I took my little sister here because it seemed adorable. I ordered the white peach matcha with oat milk the price did surprise me. It was $9 for my matcha. While it was really good matcha. I did. It taste peach at all in my drink. Just matcha. It's very busy on a Sunday. We stood in line for about ten minutes. Maybe a little more. And there were no seats left by the time we received our drinks. All good though. We drank in the car. The servers are really sweet though. And there's usually a ton of parking. I have visited Little Sister when they were formerly known as Becca's Cakes and have always been a fan of their macaroons and cupcakes. With their rebrand, they now serve drinks and have a variety of pastries asides from cakes and macarons. I love their drinks--from their matcha to their espresso lattes. Their seasonal menu is so cute and changes every month or so. During Halloween, they had a Black Magic Latte, and you could choose between matcha or espresso. The drink came with black sesame syrup, foam, and a ghost marshmallow. The Black Magic Latte was my favorite seasonal drink! I like that they make all their syrups in house and have seasonal menus. The coffee is just right and not too sweet, but you can always ask them for more or less syrup. The matcha is vibrant and whisked, not pre-made. Their pastries are also super cute, and I like the pistachio macaroons and cupcakes. The cupcakes are moist and well-balanced--not too overly rich or sweet. The café is decorated nicely with whimsical walls. However, there is limited seating, and there are a few tables inside. Staff is always friendly, and there is plenty of free parking within the plaza. I've been to Little Sister twice now, and I'd say it's a bit of a hit or miss. Both times I ordered a Caramelized Banana Matcha Latte and a Cookies and Cream Macaron. Their pastries are great -- no complaints there! They're consistently good and always taste fresh. The drinks, however, have been a little inconsistent. The first time, I absolutely loved my matcha latte -- the flavor was perfect, with just the right amount of banana without overpowering the matcha. The second time, though, it tasted watered down and the flavor just wasn't there. But- I was pleased with my choice: one Brookie. It was unsuspecting in presentation, but I chose it over the early grey cinnamon roll bc it looked a little too wet/gooey for my preference. The brookie has all the right textures: crisp endings, chewy inside with whole chocolate chips interspersed for a lil bite for ur molars. Flakey salt on top helped. Becca Cakes did an absolutely beautiful job on our wedding cake. We had a very small reception (20 guests) so I needed a small cake, but I still wanted something special. You'd be surprised how many bakeries were not at all interested in working with me. I spoke with Jourdan, the manager, about what I was looking for and then stopped by the store to look at what they could offer. We ordered one of their monthly cake tasting boxes for fun and ended up doing a small, two-tier cake with white frosting, white florals and some greenery. I was not at the venue when the cake was delivered (on time and in perfect condition!) but we were absolutely thrilled with the way that it looked and tasted. She was turning 2 and loves cupcakes like I love tacos. YELP pulled up this place which is near where I live and they can do to-go orders same or next day. They had 6 flavors available (classic white, white chocolate raspberry, peppermint chocolate, regular chocolate, cinnamon, and gingerbread) so we went with two of each. Stopping in the next day, I picked up my order and while adding a trio of cookie sandwiches (snickerdoodle, sugar w/ vanilla, and chocolate chip peanut butter) and a floral glitter candle (cause 2 year olds like those candles). My niece was very happy with her cupcake as we gave her the peppermint chocolate (I think), she devoured the frosting first before eating the cake itself which indicates she loved it. My family and I enjoyed the remaining cupcakes although we had difficulty telling which was which. Might be good to label them upon packing them since I'm not a cupcake expert except for the tasting part. Additionally, the cookie sandwiches were amazing. Since I purchased them, I called dibs on the chocolate chip peanut butter; knew I picked the right one after my first bite with the choco/pb flavors of the cream and the softness of the cookie.
