Oh For All, the pizza was pretty good. It was super thin and the toppings slid off very quickly but overall very satisfied with this pizza. The surfaces very quick as as well as you get to enjoy. Live music and beverage of your choice from the common area. Fun little spot definitely will go back.

The pizza here is not too shabby, especially when you're drinking some beers! I'd say parking is a bit difficult unless you park on the long road. Located right next to deft brewery, in their little beer garden, this pizza joint has connected with the other businesses in this courtyard in order to bring customers a top tier experience. You walk in, seat yourself, and the pizza menus are layed out on every table. You can either get beer, go get mead, or enjoy some wine with your pizza. There's numerous seating spots for you and inside the brewery itself. These guys at the pizza place will ask for your table number when you order food, so they can personally deliver it to you. The pizza is New York style thin crust. I ended up getting the Elvis which has prosciutto, arugula, and cheese on top of it. It was cut up into 6 slices and was very large portions. It was great, fresh, and hot. The only downfall was how burnt my pizza was, which I appreciate because I can tell it was house made to order. I'd love to come back especially when visiting San Diego!

Everything's good ...limited menu which is good if you do it well great toppings great vibe. If you enjoy Mead, cider and craft beer, definitely a cool place to come after work.

One of the weekly specials: corned beef with pickles, so good

Pizza Cassette is of my favorite places in San Diego to get Napoli style pizza. They make them to order, so if it's a busy night be patient because it might take 45 minutes to 60 minutes to get your food. Sit down and enjoy your beverages while you wait. My two favorite regular pizzas are The Queen and The Soprano. I also enjoy their weekly specials, because you never know what combination you might get. One of my favorites recently had corned beef and pickles on it. They offer gluten-free crust, the first time we ordered it. It was so tasty. I thought they accidentally messed up our order but my friends and family with us with celiac disease were not affected so it's proved that it was legit gluten-free. They also have options for vegetarians and vegans, including vegan cheese. Outside their pizzas, they also have salads, sandwiches, and delicious small bites/appetizers. Some of my favorites are: Homegrown tomatoes, basically a Caprese salad Cheese plate incident: a lovely charcuterie board with meat, cheese, and various things like mustard or jam, and some type of pickle; this particular one can change each week, depending on what they have available Marinaded Olives: self-explanatory Got a sweet tooth? There's weekly dessert specials such as cheesecake, brownies, homemade ice cream, and other homemade sweets on rotating basis. Pizza cassette is nestled on the front left corner of the Gartën, open Tuesdays-Sundays (sometimes weather permitting)

One of the best pizza places places in San Diego. The dough is amazing, chewy but craip. The toppings are always high quality. The pastrami sandwich is huge but fantastic. It definitely enough for 2 meals. They get busy so I would expect a. It of wait if you in person and give yourself 30 minutes of leeway if you order take out over the phone.

Such a cute beer garden with wood fired pizza and beer, cider, and wine!!! Parking is a little limited but there's a dirt lot at the end of the street. Not sure if it's exactly for this spot, but we parked there and it was fine. The space ain't super big but there's a large variety of table options for different group sizes. There's also a little stage for live music. Both our pizzas were delicious. Lovely char on the crust and tasty, fresh toppings. The salad on the other hand, was just ok. The staff at all the businesses were very friendly and service was prompt. We will definitely be back for the food and ambiance!

This is the food vendor at The Garten which is an outdoor courtyard in a cluster of industrial warehouses in the Linda Vista neighborhood. There was no dedicated on-site parking lot so you had to find a curbside space on one of the side streets. Pizza Cassette was located immediately to the left when you walked into The Garten. Menu sheets were placed at the picnic tables that were set up in the middle of the common space. There was an evenly divided number of pizzas between the red pies and white pies on the bottom part of the menu. Appetizers and sandwiches made up the top half of the sheet. I wasn't hungry enough to order a pizza so I pivoted to the latter category. From the list of five sandwiches, my pick was the Korn(ed) Beef which cost a hefty $20. House brined and smoked pastrami was dressed in Swiss cheese, kohlrabi slaw, and Dijon mayonnaise. I sat a table to wait for my order which took about ten minutes. A worker handed me a wrapped package that was quite heavy. I then understood why this sandwich was priced as such because it was the largest one I have encountered in a while. The layers of meat were densely packed between the bread. It needed more slaw and dressing as I found the pastrami to be dry because there was so much. Two meals at home were what it took for me to finish consuming the sandwich. I will return and either try another sandwich or pick up a red pie as I had a positive experience at my initial visit to Pizza Cassette.

Special of the week - The Nutorious FIG (FIg, Prosciutto, burrato (they ran out on mine), arugula

I feel really late to the party on experiencing this place - great vibe, good food, live music. Love the courtyard with multiple complimentary businesses, seat yourself with counter ordering. Its a great place to meet up with friends. I actually discovered them on my Instagram when they were featured by a local food influencer account and started following. When I saw a reel on their special of the week (Notorious F.I.G.) I was finally prompted to check it out. Pie prices are steep but on par with most good pizza places these days. Their special hovered close to $30. I would say the pizzas are larger than a personal size, a modest shared pizza for two (but if you are ordering other things, totally appropriately sized for 2). Sadly, they ran out of burrata for the evening so my pizza wasnt really as intended. I inquired about some fresh mozz instead which they brought over but that was cold slices. Still not quite the same but they tried to be accommodating. My pizza was an "eh" opinion (its honestly more flatbread), esp for the high price tag of ingredients I didnt get to experience fully. Thank goodness we also got the Fungadelic (salami, mushroom, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, shallot) because that pizza is BOMB. Wow delicious. I would come back every time for that one. The evening we came (sunday) they also had live jazz music and it was a great vibe. Given you seat yourself, order at the counter and provide your table #, and its quick fired pizzas, it is a very efficient place for a meal. Great for a large group to not have to worry about bill splitting, and great for when you are super hungry as they are very efficient. We'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends next time! Parking is definitely challenging but we managed on the street. Plan for a bit of time there.

TL;DR: Friendly and fast service and (too) loaded pies pair great with all the drinks in the beer garden. Definitely worth getting while you're here! I love when restaurants load up the portion size and the team at Pizza Cassette definitely didn't disappoint. That said, maybe it was cuz I was the 2nd to last pie ordered for the night and they needed to finish their toppings or maybe they just felt like being nice - in any case (and I honestly can't believe I'm saying this), while the flavor was great, the toppings were way too much...which, I guess was a good problem to have. I loved the undercarriage and the extra crisp to the crust - you see burnt, I see texture :) However, even the perfect undercarriage couldn't hold up the toppings on our Fungadelic pie I'll definitely come back for the pizza and the drinks! Cheers, Pizza Cassette!

Pizza Cassette is a great place for a large group hangout, with most of the seating outdoors. It's located in the Garten, which has a brewery and meadery too! Order your pizza, let them know your table number, and grab a drink while you wait. Pizza Cassette also has Happy Hour Tuesday - Friday from 3PM - 5PM, knocking $5 off of the pizzas. Each pizza is 14 inches and should be good for 1-2 people. Despite the long lines and pizza being made fresh, the food came out in less than 10 minutes. I tried two white pizzas, the Pork Soda and Lemon Song. The Pork Soda was really good and I'm a sucker for balsamic and arugula on pizzas. The Lemon Song sounded really interesting and I think I would've liked it more if the lemon slices weren't cooked with the pizza. The rinds left a bitter taste and we ended up picking it off the pizza. Overall, pretty decent pizza place. The sandwiches look really good and I'll have to come back and give them a try!

The pizza here is really good, and so are the sandwiches. I attend club meetings here monthly, they are always so busy. Along with your food, you can also enjoy beer, wine and mead. Great ambiance. The reason why I am not giving 5 stars is the staff, they are ALWAYS grouchy...like every time I place an order and I have been coming here for years. Not sure why, but them get a lot of business and are always busy. The parking around here can be tricky, especially in the evening. They have a small tiny parking lot in the back or limited street parking by Floor & Decor.

    "Queen" Margherita Pizza $20
    Rana R.

Pizza Cassette is located inside the "The Garten." They serve more than pizzas which include apps, salad, sandwiches & desserts. The line tends to get long so just be patient! You order at the front and they give you a number so they can deliver the goods right to your table. Silverware, napkins & utensils are offered on the side of their trailer so everything you need is there. Ordered the "Queen" [$20] pizza which was their version of a Margherita pizza. It was really good- the dough they used was excellent! Not enough mozzarella in my opinion though. It was cooked to perfection- only a couple of bites had the dreaded "burnt" taste so I call that a win. Also ordered the meatballs which came with about 4-5 generous portions along with a couple of slices of bread for $14. We wanted the meatballs to be hotter- probably was forgotten about while the pizza was being attended to. Otherwise they tasted homemade which is a high compliment. Food came out fairly quickly which was surprising because of all the patrons. Prices are reasonable for quality of ingredients. Great meal!

I needed to find a large enough spot for a birthday gathering that wasn't too fancy and could hold 15 people, and remembered seeing Pizza Cassette as a top pizza spot on a media post. We came around 6pm on a weekday and although busy, we were able to snag two rows of tables. - PARKING - Street parking along the adjacent roads. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The Garten has several vendors featured including Pizza Cassette, but also some breweries and a meadery. There are many rows of picnic tables and also standing tables - all are outdoors so bring a jacket for the colder months! After placing our order, it took around 15 minutes for food to come out, but that's not bad considering the space they had to work with for their food kitchen. - FOOD - We tried several pizzas, but my personal favorites were: 1. Sting - Nice heat level, especially balanced with the sweet hot honey 2. Elvis - I'm just a fan of prosciutto so I enjoyed this one! 3. Pork Soda - The bacon and the onion jam combination was tasty! - OVERALL - A great spot for a casual gathering, or maybe when you're just craving pizza and beer!

I planned to order a their soup and half-sandwich combo. After waiting my turn, I asked what the soup of the day was. Instead of a direct response, the employee behind the counter (wearing a black shirt) pointed vaguely toward the counter and said, "It's right there." There were multiple signs and items, and it wasn't clear what he was referring to. I asked again for clarification, and he repeated himself--this time with clear irritation. I said "I don't see it". With some distain he replied "chicken noodle soup". At that point, it was obvious the interaction wasn't going anywhere productive or that this individual did not value his customers. I made a comment about the attitude and left. Here's the reality: in today's economic environment, every customer matters. I came in with the intention of spending money and potentially becoming a repeat customer. Instead, I was met with dismissive and unfriendly service for no reason. What are we doing? I wasn't rude or confrontational - I simply asked a basic question. The employee could have have simply stated what the soup of the day was. Instead, his attitude was unnecessarily hostile and reflects poorly on the business. Interactions like that don't just lose a single sale, they cost long-term customers and referrals. If ownership is paying attention, fire this guy!Staff represent your brand, and this experience fell well below any reasonable standard of hospitality. Unfortunately, I will never be returning, and I will not recommend this place based on this experience. In fact, I will provide this account of my experience with Royal Food Mart to many!

I ordered the BBQ beef brisket sandwich and can't wait to go back to try the whole menu. The sandwich was made to perfection. The bread was amazing, and I finished it before I knew it! It had cheese, onion, tomato, mayo, and BBQ sauce - this was so good. I'm usually not big on tomato or heavy BBQ sauce, but if it's worth it, I'll eat both... and this was absolutely worth it. The BBQ sauce has officially grown on me. The wait wasn't long at all. I didn't go inside to pick up my order, so I can't speak for customer service yet, but I can 100% vouch for the food. Got lucky with parking right out front. Can't wait to come back!

The service was absolutely amazing, everyone was really polite and helpful and the ambiance was calming and relaxing. I had ordered the pesto pasta and it was definitely fresh food and probably one of the best food dishes I've had in a while. Overall would definitely make the hour drive down here.

If you love Italian food, the grocery section at Mona Lisa is like being a kid in a candy…read morestore...except the candy has been replaced with pasta, olive oil, cookies, and enough imported goodies to make you question how much room you have left in your pantry. We wandered through every aisle and had the best time discovering products you just don't see at your average grocery store. From authentic pastas and sauces to chocolates, cookies, and specialty ingredients, there was something new around every corner. The deli case is equally impressive, filled with meats and cheeses that would take any charcuterie board from "nice" to "where did you get all of this?" The store isn't large, but every inch is packed with something worth looking at. It's the kind of place where you go in for one item and somehow leave with a bag full of things you never knew you needed. If you're spending time in Little Italy, don't just visit the deli--take a few extra minutes to explore the market. Just be prepared for the toughest decision of the day: figuring out what not to buy.
