Their teriyaki chicken combo will run you under $7 and it's a large portion with good flavors.

She even gave us some extra mints after when we told her they were our favorite. We ordered shumai, edamame, hibachi, and a plethora of rolls and not a single one was a miss. I love the private rooms with the traditional sunken Japanese table. They have normal seating as well but I definitely recommend bringing a party and getting one of the rooms!

The inside is nicely laid out and easy on the eyes. Booths, tables in the middle, sushi bar towards the back and private tatami rooms along the one outer wall. I had called ahead and reserved one of their tatami rooms. It was our first time in a room like that and we really enjoyed it! (NOTE: you have to remove your shoes before entering the tatami room so make sure you wear socks if that bothers you!) The service was friendly and timely. Our waitress took the time to go over their menu which had several pages of sushi options alone. They don't have a kids menu, but they were both able to find something they liked. My oldest had the Chicken Teriyaki that came on a skillet with a bed of steamed veggies and white rice on the side. He devoured it and asked for more rice. He allowed me to have a couple of bites of his chicken. The Teriyaki flavors were popping! Little guy shared a steak and shrimp hibachi with my wife. She asked for medium and it came out well. The flavors of the steak and shrimp were awesome, but the corn rice and veggies had a little bit of an off flavor and texture. Both meals came with soup - one miso which tasted just fine, the other a clear soup that had a delicious full onion flavored broth. I had the Volcano roll - $17 - eight - Shrimp tempura, cucumber w special sweet tuna salad outside and the Phoenix Roll - $18 - eight -mixed combo fish & avocado roll, top with salmon yellowtail & special sauce on top. The Volcano roll wasn't super tight, but I enjoyed the crunchy shrimp tempura and sweet sauce. Good fresh ingredients and flavors in both, Phoenix roll had a welcoming kick in the special sauce. Our friend had a Philly Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll and a veggie roll ($7-$8 avg.) which she said were all good. We had a great time in the room and will certainly repeat. I'm not a well traveled sushi eater, but the menu at Tako was much more extensive (more fish varieties and combinations) than my usual Asian fusion spots) at a similar price so I'll be returning to try more options. The one thing I would recommend to their owners is a bathroom spruce up or thorough cleaning. The walls looked like an inexperienced painter took care of them and there were dirt marks all over the door. Having said that, it's great to have a fun dining option close to home! Thanks guys!!!

We immediately ordered a few appetizers to start and the beef Negamaki was delicious but very very hot temperature wise. It is tender beef cooked to perfection and it has scallions or green onions inside The roll. It has a delicious glaze and the price is very decent. When you walk in you can choose sushi or hibachi or you can also just sit at a table. It's very tidy and the service is very prompt and good. They have a decent team there the place is pretty simply decorated, but it is very nice and it's been consistent for a long time. They have half price sushi rolls and they are really great value for the price and the size I've never had a bad meal. Here The green tea is OK but taste almost like rice. It's kind of weird but I took my husband and we enjoyed the shrimp Shumai and we also enjoyed the udon noodles with chicken And a few other entrées. He got the mango roll and it was very surprisingly delicious. I got two other rolls and they kind of had a citrus flavor, which was unexpected but pleasant. I forget the other roll, but it was similar to shrimp tempura it was very delicious. I also ordered a spicy tuna roll. It was very delicious. We can't wait to come back.

Great food and service. Food is very affordable. Nice place to go to dinner with friends or family.read more

And that's a good thing because competition for tables is already stiff. Get a reservation (you have to call) or be ready to wait in line. The decor is excellent. Not fancy by any means, but FUN. It's like someone raided an Otaku gift shop. There are toys, t-shirts, and a zillion things to delight and catch your eye. Tables are separated by bamboo screens, so each is lovely and private-ish. Service is solid, and the staff have a lot to keep up with. Be patient. But let's talk about the food! I have eaten a lot of sushi in my life and I am not kidding when I say this is some of the best. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted like it had been out of the ocean for mere moments. We had pork-wasabi shumai and the hamachi jalapeno for appetizers and both were fantastic--the hamachi was probably my favorite thing across the board. We also shared a Sushi deluxe dinner, as well as a Musashi and a Tuna roll (I cannot remember what they called it but it was belly tuna and spicy tuna together and it was to die for). Everything was perfect; I have nothing negative at all to say. 10/10, no notes. So if you find yourself near Bensalem, get yourself there. You will NOT be disappointed.

They have egg rolls which are hard to come by. The egg rolls were not as good as our go-to place but they were good enough to make us order again. We also had gyozas and chicken lo mein and the gyozas were also pretty good but we didn't much like the large pieces of chicken in the lo mein. Tonight we ordered from them again and the egg rolls were still okay, even though they didn't send us any condiments for them! The lo mein had the same problem as last time with the large pieces of chicken but the sesame chicken was downright awful! The chicken was like eating gristle. It was dried out and chewy. Horrible. There was a piece of chicken in the lo mein that had green on it. At first I though some vegetable had discolored it but the more I thought about it the more I thought that was unlikely. I will post a photo but the photo doesn't really show how green it was. I have never seen any part of a piece of chicken turn green before! Unfortunately, will not be ordering from them again.
