Verily, a feast most splendid did unfold before mine eyes. The meats, sliced as though by the hands of seraphs, didst dance upon the tongue with a tenderness divine. The salad bar, a cornucopia of delights, offered ambrosial greens and morsels fit for the table of kings. With each bite, the flavors didst intertwine as though in a harmonious sonnet. In sooth, the victuals were of such quality that even the most discerning palate would be pleased. 'Twas a banquet worthy of the Bard's own praise!

One of our favourite spots to go to when downtown for hotpot! Their broths & meats are higher quality, and I love their cold foods section if you do AYCE :) . Every time we go, the staff has been attentive as well. Would defs recommend checking them out if you haven't already! Their sukiyaki broth is great!

Was acknowledged right away by servers but took a but to get seated. It's become an AYCE spot that has comparable pricing to the other hotpot spots in the city. The food came out quick but variety felt limited. For example they didn't even have Napa cabbage as their vegetables. Wasnt too busy on a Saturday night so guests were spaced out and wasn't too loud

This restaurant is a great place for hotpot. It's one of the rare spots where they refill your pot with the same soup that you ordered. The meat cuts are a tad thicker than usual but not to the point where you find yourself chewing for a long time. The sauce bar has an average amount of variety but each sauce is quite potent. Service is quick and there was no skimping on meat orders.

So, I've been here a couple times after and can give this place an extra star. Came with a group of 6 to try my "it's better with more people" theory. Yes, yes it is. We kind of went ham as it was my birthday, but I was really impressed with presentation and quality. Price still expensive. Came again with just a party of 2 and did individual pots. They now offer Tom Yum, so I had to try. Spicy! Nice! They also added some seafood as extras in the soup... shrimp and mussel, so those with allergy beware. I really like their spicy soup base. Price still way expensive. So, I didn't give 5 stars because it is expensive. I could only justify spending that much on a special occasion... I'll come back on someone's birthday lol.

Delicious food but the serving speed was a little bit slow. Pretty authentic soup base. Not as spicy as expected since I am a spice person.

Food was good, the staff were very accommodating. Street parking is horrible but the parkade at the back was better.

And we also came with a very large group. Honestly they had all the reason to kick us out, but the staff took care of us regardless. Since we were late we just picked the soup broth and 5 add-on's. I got the Herb and Lamb broth. It was delicious, savory, and hearty. And for the add-on's, I picked the sliced Beef Sirloin, Enoki Mushroom, Napa Cabbage, Fried Tofu and Flat Rice Noodles. They didn't have Fried Tofu so I asked to substitute for Fried Bean Curd instead. Looking back at this now, I'm glad (and I'm sure the kitchen was too) that we only picked 5 things. AYCE would've been too much and too overwhelming with all the options there. And honestly, they gave us so much for the 5 things we ordered. It was a whole spread of meat and veggies. I was actually very impressed. Portion size was huge. I was also impressed by the service we received. It was late, but they really took care of us as patrons. It's a 4.5/5 for me. Definitely one of the best service I've received at a sit-down restaurant/food business and I wish this place success.

Wow! First to review this place!!…read more We came here in June after their soft opening. My mom had heard about Han Shi Fang through WeChat and the videos looked so enticing. I was dying to try the combination of hot pot and grill. The staff were incredibly attentive and prompt. They gave lots of suggestions as to what to order, and my favorites were the supreme beef slices, sliced lamb, enoki beef rolls, and quail eggs. For five of us, a two-flavor pot worked very well. Also order the fresh watermelon juice, as it helps cool you down from the hot soup and grilled items. Take advantage of the make-your-own-sauce station near the entrance. My fav is ponzu with green onions and a little bit of garlic.

Seems to be all you can eat only since we weren't offered an a la carte option. It's $32.95 per person PLUS the cost of broth $6.95 for 1 flavour, $8.95 for 2 or $10.95 for 4. I guess if you only want hot water it's free? But who would do that?? They also have additional items you can add for a cost but we stuck to the AYCE menu. $3.25 for unlimited refills of canned pop or $8.95 for 1 pitcher of their fresh beverages. We ordered a half non-spicy pork bone broth and half house special butter spicy. You can adjust the spice level and although we asked for medium spicy, there was definitely heat to it! Once we put in our order, we went to the small sauce station to make our sauces. Not as many options as other places in town, but did the job. The broth pot came out first - a communal pot for the table, so be aware. Topped with a grill plate over top for your BBQ. The spicy butter was indeed spicy and heavy on the grease. I don't think I'd order it again. The pork was better, but although both had lots of aromatics in them, we both found them to be rather bland. The hot food options were ok. You get 1 order of enoki beef rolls per table, already cooked, and they were tasty. Didn't love the crispy pork. As for the rest, our favourites were the shrimp paste, the hot pot beef, hot pot lamb and quail eggs (already cooked and peeled). Service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The moment we had an empty plate, it was whisked away. No complaints there. Overall, it was about $90 for 2 people before tip and drinking pop. Definitely not a cheap meal. That said, service was great and the ventilation was good where it wasn't stuck to our clothes & hair (often we leave these restaurants smelling like hot pot forever). The novelty is fun with both hot pot & BBQ, but I didn't find the BBQ great. Would be better going to an actual BBQ restaurant for BBQ. For the price, the options are limited compared to other places.

But there it was, this bright green little gem. It's not as modern as other places, but the food was fresh and topped up on the buffet + even though not as big as others, there were still a few items I hadn't seen anywhere else. Their broth was good too - we tried the satay & tom yum and both were flavourful. They've been open under the same management for 11+ years! Covid has been tough - they closed completely when dine in was shut down and are just starting to rebuild business (I don't think they do take out but I'm not 100%). It was completely dead when we were there, minus one other table - and they still kept filling the food with fresh items. They kind of fall under the radar, maybe because they're not as flashy as other places? But they are yummy with super nice people - if you're considering hotpot, it's worth checking out! A few things to note: it's one of the cheaper AYCE hotpots in the city (I think it was $26 + $2 for broth - other places are $35-40). AYCE only. No late night or lunch special, the price is the price all day. Cash or debit only.

This was our first-ever hot pot experience, and Shoo Loong Kan absolutely nailed it…read more We ordered three soup bases -- Tom Yum, pork bone broth, and sukiyaki -- along with a vegetable plate, beef short, and prime ribeye. For drinks, we tried the strawberry coconut milk tea and the dirty brown sugar milk tea, and both were delicious. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend the pork bone broth for first-timers -- it was hands down my favorite. The sukiyaki was also a standout (perfect if you enjoy saltier flavors). The Tom Yum was great if you like spice, but it's more of a specific taste and probably not one I'd personally reorder. The decor is beautiful with subtle cultural touches, and I loved how modern and easy the experience was. They have an online ordering system you can use right from your phone, which made everything super convenient. Bonus: they offer a happy hour deal on the beef short until 3 PM, where it's $2.99 instead of the regular $6 -- such a steal. The service was incredible. The staff brought the food out quickly, and our server took the time to explain everything, which made our first hot pot experience stress-free and enjoyable. Overall, this is an experience you must try. We'll definitely be back!

The place looks really fancy with its atmosphere (aside from the gender neutral bathroom). Mainly writing this review to express the disappointment in service me and my girlfriend had to deal with, we got seated right away with a female server (name Idk of) and this male server named "Jay" (looks Russian) said he was our server today and said to look through the menu and he'll be right back and when we're ready he'll take our orders, dude literally ignores us for like 30mins all the while he's helping the tables near us with simple tasks, this guy has the nerves to look me right in the eyes while I tried waving him down (not once but a couple times) to take our orders and he just continues to either help those other tables or walk away entirely to go talk with his co workers, my girlfriend said lets wait for another couple minutes and I reluctantly agree but only for 10 more minutes. Server "Jay" continues to purposely ignore me and my girlfriend (mind you on her birthday which I wanted to make a special time with) so I take her hand and make us walk out with utter disregard for the place or server "Jay". Service sucks unless you're working class white individuals or Asians. Wrote this specifically so the establishment can make server "Jay" can work on his behaviour for racial equality and avoid anymore embarrassment for their name.
