You'll hear the puppy borks before going it. I thought it was cute. It is nice and clean there, and I had no issues getting checked in. I am not from Atlanta, but I really liked Emily's style and was going to be in ATL for a concert. I sent her what I wanted, a simple palm sized symbol I wanted on my hip, and she showed me a couple of designs. I picked one and we were quick to get started. She had no problems repositioning my stencil after I changed my mind. It was exactly how you want your appointment to go. In addition to being super communicative and easy to work with, she had the lightest hands I've ever experienced. Easy line pulls and as little pain I've ever felt. It was almost magical. It's been almost a month and my tat is healed up lovely.

They were extremely diligent in their adherence to sterilization protocols and examination of my initial piercings. Because of Randy's careful examination of my ears, only one ear needed a full re-pierce and the other ear just needed a slight stretch in the piercing. It was much less painful this time around than it was 20 years ago (w/a piercing gun at Claire's!). I had such a great experience here I would definitely return and get additional piercings! My ears healed well (different experience than the first time) and I'm excited to wear earring again!

I had attempted to remove it myself and, TOTAL FAIL. I searched Yelp a number of times and kept returning to Virtue & Vice due to the reviews. One stipulation I had while on the hunt for this place was that I only wanted a female piercing tech. So I called Virtue & Vice telling them what I was looking for and asking if they would be able to accomodate. They were so helpful and patient! I asked a bunch of questions that were quickly answered and the gentleman that I spoke to even gave me the names of the female techs along with their availability. That call sealed the deal for me! While in the area one day I decided to pop into Virtue & Vice and finally tackle this task. HU: the parking lot is quite tight as the plaza is a small one. I didn't have an issue finding a spot but I can only imagine how it would be on a crazy day. The shop was bright and airy, and I was greeted so warmly upon entry by two young ladies at the front counter. I let them know what I was looking for and was told it'd be a 15 minute wait, easy peazy. After a few minutes one of the young ladies approached me asking if I'd accept a male tech assisting me so that I'd get in/out sooner. I declined and appreciated that they didn't push or question my decision to wait. Minutes later my technician Lena came and got me. She was such a sweetheart! She has the same name as one of my favorite people and Yelp CM so I knew she had good energy. When I tell you all that I tried removing the piercing myself about 4x? Why did Ms. Lena get it out (without pain!) within TWO minutes? It may not have even been two minutes. I coughed and boom, removed. I can't believe that I put it off for so long! Definitely returning for some new ink in the future.

I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. I stopped by early in my trip to check availability and not surprisingly there wasn't much. The books were booked but they told me that an artist did walks-ins on Saturdays at 3pm and to come in around then. Being super anxious I got there about 2:45pm that day and found out someone else was even more anxious because the appointment was gone. Bummed, because I really had my hopes up I then talked to another artist, Hank who asked me what I was trying to get done. Ironically, he did a lot of sketch designs and I was looking for just that kind of tattoo. He knew the tattoo wouldn't take too long and agreed to take me the next day which happened to be Easter Sunday. Hank was amazing. While I can't say it was completely painless because I don't think any tattoo ever is or will be, overall the complete process was. He drew my design essentially overnight. When I came in the next day he showed it to me, and the thing I love about tattooing and art in general is what I had in my head of what it was going to be like wasn't exactly what he drew, but I loved his vision so I changed nothing but the overall size of the tattoo and we went to work. He gave me great instructions afterwards and it never turned red at all. It looked perfect the entire time. The healing process was amazing. I live in Florida but will absolutely make any trip to see Hank for future tattoos because it's absolutely worth it.
