We purchased a sectional couch and had it only three months. The couches are starting to sag and cushions notably depressed on the corners. This is causing an indentation in a few areas of the couch. We contacted the extended warranty company. WARNING: The extended warranty company came out to evaluate the cushions after being sent photos of the problem. They DENIED the claim and are refusing to replace the cushions. I've read other reviews that they also deny stains. The extended warranty is a rip off. After only 3 months, no couch should sag. DO NOT waste your money on the extended warranty. We will no longer purchase furniture from Living Spaces. We've lost faith in your word in salesperson's deceptive promises when selling extended warranty and they obviously have no clue that the furniture is not built to last. Not even 3 months. read more

We went in for a sofa and ended up with a bedroom set and bookcase too. We paid twice as much for our previous sofa (not purchased at Living Spaces, but an "upscale" well-known brand); it broke within 2 years. My first time visiting this location. Worth the drive and staff have great energy. Everyone we encountered said hello and asked if we needed help. Unlike the location in Los Angeles on Venice Boulevard near Mid-City. Store was clean and staff didn't bother you excessively as if working on commission. I tried several couches and was helped by Robin, I was stuck in between two nice couches and she went back and forth with me without a complaint :) until I settled for the one I purchased (I'm so happy I bought it). Robin answered all of my questions; 1. Warranty-5 Years 2. Free Next Day delivery BUT they will only drop off in-front of your home they will NOT take it inside unless you pay an additional fee of $19 (no biggie). Unfortunately they don't take your old couches back. That was most furniture places too I asked and some charged $300 to remove old couches so I called the city and they removed for free. 3. They have a return policy. 4. She was very thorough with all my questions and the purchase process went smoothly! The delivery service was on time and they did have a minor difficult time putting my couch in BUT they made it happen without a scratch! Be careful when making a purchase here! They will make promises that are false just to make the sale! We paid over $500 for a chair, paid for delivery and were told it would come assembled. Well, it was assembled incorrectly and no one will help. We called the store and they told us to fix it ourselves, literally. If we wanted to return it we would have to pay a restocking fee, even though it's defective. We were promised a call from a manager within 20 minutes, what I got was no call but an email stating we tried to call but missed you, call us back at the general customer service number. To update my review of the Redondo Beach Living Spaces store, the store employees were very nice and helpful and I appreciate all of their help and suggestions. Other than that, I had one problem after another with their employees outside the store. Their central customer service office apparently has a bunch of unhelpful, uneducated employees who can not provide any information about the products being sold. A few times I did call to inquire about questions I had about the chair I purchased and they were of no help to me at all. I began to wonder what they actually do to earn their salary. Their is no supervisor or manager of customer service to speak with when you call. They can not connect you with the store for help. They offer to take a message and have someone return your call in 24 hours which I consider to be unacceptable. In addition, their delivery department is just a total mess. When you call to try to schedule a delivery date and time, it is almost impossible. They want to make deliveries when it fits into their schedule, not when it is convenient for the customer. It almost takes an act of Congress to try to get the product delivered when it is good for the customer. Most of my encounters with employees outside of the store was awful. read more

I've been to this location multiple times over the past few years and have purchased several pieces of furniture, including a sofa, a sleeper chair, an ottoman, a desk chair, and a set of shelves. Several pieces were special orders. Each experience was professional and the salespeople were friendly and helpful. All the items have been high quality and we've been very pleased with all the purchases, which is why we continue to come back! The store itself is large, spacious, and laid out in a way that invites you to explore and allows you to envision how the pieces might fit into your own home. They even have fun "car" carts to push your little ones around in that let them feel like they're driving through a huge house! A follow-up to my prior post from 9/17/2023. On 9/19/2023 the other section of my sofa was delivered. The delivery men left it in my living room still wrapped. They did not remove and replace the legs as promised by the store manager and confirmed by someone in the call center who reviewed the notes. Unbelievable how a company would flat out lie to a customer. Not that it makes a difference but I am also a 100% disabled Veteran, with a wrapped sofa sitting in the middle of my living room. I received a call from Donovan who stated he was manager at the store. I explained the situation to him and he said there was nothing he could do. I do not typically give reviews, let alone a negative review, but I cannot not give it. First, my wife and I have shopped at Living Spaces for years now, we have purchased three living room sets, dining room table, mattress, etc. and been satisfied customers; however, we will no longer be shopping there. We purchased a bed with an adjustable base a few weeks ago. When we made the purchase, we were very clear that the bed and base were to be delivered at the same time. To make a long story short, when the bed and base were delivered, a second bed was delivered, a a bed we did not purchase. It turns out, the second bed that was part of the delivery from an order we had previously cancelled over six months ago. We cancelled that order because, Living Spaces had scheduled a delivery but when the day the bed and base was scheduled and confirmed to be delivered came, Living Spaces didn't show and we didn't receive a phone call. Now, getting back to the current delivery. The delivery crew had carried in the correct bed and base into our home but, it turns out the base that was delivered needed to be returned because it was part of the order that was cancelled over six months. One of the problems is, it is the same exact base we recently purchased, so the take it back made absolutely no sense. However the bigger issue is, when the delivery crew removed the base from our home they damaged our door to our master bedroom. When my wife asked the delivery crew how the damage would be handled, the delivery representative informed my wife, he would call it in and she could note it on the receipt, which is electronic. Living Spaces said because my wife signed a Release of Liability form, they will not cover the damage. The Manager I talked to said, the Release of Liability form is not a standard document the delivery crew has customers sign. Here is the problem with that statement, my wife did not knowingly sign any type Release and the only two electronic signatures she provided were after the damage occurred. She was told, one signature was for receipt of the bed and other was for the return of other bed and base I did receive a copy of the signed document showing the return of the other bed and base, but I did not receive a copy of the other document my wife signed. There is more to this issue but the bottom line here is, Living Spaces has lost a loyal customer due its lack of business ethics. read more

We filed a claim online and someone somewhere looked at the picture and said it looked like a tear from wear and tear and that our claim was rejected. However with Living Spaces, I can check out everything in the showrooms before purchasing. I have furnished 2 bedrooms with Living Spaces furniture and it's great. Seamless purchase and fast delivery. And 2 months later, I saw that 2 of the items I purchased decreased in price. I called the store, spoke with Lisa C., she looked up my order and immediately price-matched and informed me I was going to get back $102 on my credit card. If there was a zero star option I would choose that. Absolute nightmare situation dealing with this location and their customer service was nothing short of abysmal. My wife and I were looking to buy a new couch for our place. Shopped around a few places and decided to go with a nice one we found at this location. Purchased it with no hassle and paid extra for the inhome delivery option. This is when everything took a turn for the worse. On the day of the delivery their "third party" delivery service shows up to drop off my couch. I immediately notice that only one of the movers was attempting to get the couch off the moving truck while the other one literally just watched with a clipboard in his hand. As I'm witnessing the mover struggle with the couch he literally drops it off the truck in the middle of street and I right away notice there was damage to the box. The other mover literally says nothing and then tells me oh we won't be able to bring the couch in the house because the railings on my stairs were an issue. I'm so confused because the couch I previously owned was a sectional and much bigger and there was no problem bringing that one into my place. Not only did they damage the couch in my face they now are refusing to bring my couch inside despite the fact that I paid for inhome delivery. The mover was rude the entire time and then proceeded to call a supervisor who was even more unprofessional and basically said it was my fault for not ensuring that the couch would be able to be brought into my place. All I was told was whether or not i was on the second floor and nothing Else. Why would I pay for inhome delivery if I knew it would not be possible. Then they proceed to tell me that they could leave it and I would be responsible for bringing it upstairs into my apartment! I of course said that was unacceptable and I could speak to her supervisor or whoever is above her and her response was "there is no one above me" in the most condescending tone. Then she proceeded to tell the movers to load to back up and that I would now be charged a restocking fee!? I never told them to take it and the fault is on Living Spaces completely for this whole situation. Not only did they damage the couch while they unloaded it they're now blaming my wife and I for the couch be undeliverable. I feel like we were robbed and this place should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. We should b entitled to a full refund and be treated like the paying customers we were but no instead we get treated so wrong and then they have the audacity to charge us! No wonder this place has a 2 star review and I hope it drops to one star after this review. If you're looking for a good place to buy any type of furniture and are hoping for good customer service then I suggest you avoid Living Spaces, especially this location at all costs or you'll be in regretting it just like we are. We went on a busy Saturday but he took the time to demonstrate different shapes and patterns with our living room. He literally put our living in the computer and everything we wanted was there. We took some time but it was worth it. Jeremy made it happen. Very good interior designer! Definitely put things into perspective! Pricing I think it's fair pricing and the quality is good just the fact you're able to piece whatever you want in different fabrics and colors to match the ideas are awesome. Very poor customer service. Purchased a power recliner for almost $1000. Along with extended warranty. Few days after the purchase, the reclining function stopped. Contacted the warranty and was forwarded to living spaces again. 3 wks after the complaint, technician came and said the motor is bad. Replacement part ordered which will take 6-8 wks. 3 months after the purchase, still no working recliner. Customer service said I can keep the chair "as is" and get discount, but if I get it fixed then no discount or apology or attempt to offer compensation for inconvenience.
