The first purchase we made was about a year ago and we purchased the Anacapa modular sectional for our loft area no complaints it is a very comfortable couch and has held up over a year. We had to go back to living Spaces because we purchased a new home and need to furnish it. We're starting with a couch and the dining table. Our sales associate was Vina and we actually met Veena a few months ago when we were just looking at furniture and seeing our options and what would fit best in our space and she took us around the showroom all the different options and showed us the modular couches fast-forward to this month we went in and finally decided on a couch. We went with the Everett modular couch. We custom ordered the fabric and the pillows, and we went with the Casey, walnut expandable table and Kissa chair chairs. We took delivery of a dining room set. Ivory chairs and a glass top table. When we opened the boxes, the chairs are filthy!!! Stain from the frame of the chairs has leached into the ivory fabric and they're horrific. Tried to call customer service...on hold for 45 minutes only to be met with the most apathetic customer service rep I've ever encountered. We came into Living Spaces ready to buy a TV stand and spent about 20-30 minutes walking around. During that time, at least 2 employees walked right past us and not one person said hello or asked if we needed help. We understand people get busy, but it honestly felt like we were invisible because they didn't even make eye contact or look our way. The selection was great and we actually found a piece we liked, but the customer service was disappointing. I even checked Yelp while we were there and was surprised to see so many reviews describing the bad service. Hopefully management takes the feedback seriously because customers who are ready to spend money shouldn't have to hunt someone down for help. Update: the business responds to saying to reach out via text or email and I did before I sent this review! You know what they said? It's only been a couple of years of using this dresser. We baby our furniture so much! This dresser is more of a bedroom decoration than anything, barely used and it's not even closing properly! We also purchased a wooden console that is now chipping!! We reached out for assistance, but our concerns were completely dismissed,. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. This honestly feels like false advertising. I purchased a dining set based on the in-store display, which clearly showed six chairs and one bench (seating for eight people). That was the main reason I decided to buy it. However, when my order was delivered, it only included four chairs and one bench, which completely changes what I thought I was purchasing. A dining set for six is not the same as one for eight. I trusted what I saw in the showroom. If the display does not accurately reflect what is included, that is misleading. If the set is different from what is shown, it should be clearly explained to the customer. There was no complete or proper information provided, and no one explained anything to me. I was simply told to sign the order. I also called customer service and spoke with the manager, Travis, but no one helped me. I am very upset. I started with emails to the store and after getting no response I went into the store and spoke directly with some guy at the service desk after being directed there by the information desk people-only to be met with what could be best described as an apathetic attitude! I continued with emails and got in contact with the manager who in turn got me in contact with their delivery carrier Maersk/Site Manager- Final Mile Operation. I basically got treated by Maersk like it was my fault-I've sent pictures and never heard back! All I wanted was some acknowledgment of the damages, a caring attitude, and an apology. I ended up repairing the damage myself. What's funny is I was giving the delivery guy privacy to get his job done and even gave a decent tip! When I purchased my sectional, I was strongly encouraged to buy the protection plan for an additional $350. The way it was presented by the salesperson made it sound like a no-brainer. I was told that if my sectional needed cleaning, I could simply call and have it professionally cleaned as needed for the next five years. About a year later, when I actually tried to use the coverage I paid for, I discovered a very different reality. Instead of dealing with Living Spaces, I was redirected to a third-party warranty company. After multiple phone calls and a frustrating amount of back-and-forth, they mailed me what appeared to be a basic cleaning kit that probably costs only a few dollars. I was then told that I needed to attempt to clean the sectional myself before they would even consider sending someone out. This was not remotely what was represented to me when I purchased the protection plan. I spent countless hours trying to get assistance from the warranty company and got nowhere. Eventually, I went back to the Living Spaces store in person seeking a refund for the warranty. The response was essentially, "We don't handle the warranty." That was surprising considering they had no problem selling it to me in the first place. The most frustrating part is that Living Spaces benefits from selling these protection plans but takes no responsibility when customers actually try to use them. Horrible customer service. We bought a couch that Living Spaces said measures 158" When we received the couch, it didn't fit in our 159" spaces. The actual measurement of the couch was 159.5" They wouldn't take the couch back. They wouldn't let us swap the middle section from the large size to the regular size. We paid over $3k for it and now we have to buy another middle section. Stupid couch will cost over $4k. We already spent around $10k total at the place with bedroom sets, living room, and dining room. Now they want to lose a customer forever over $1k and for the rest of my life I will never recommend this place to anyone. Horrible choices and horrible customer service. read more

Take all these low reviews lightly. Not sure why all the hate. I went into LS thinking the worst after seeing their yelp, but it was extremely pleasant experience. My girlfriend and I were laughing after the fact at how wrong all the reviews are. Spent weeks comparing Living Spaces, Ashley, RC Willy, etc. This was by far the best combo of value and quality. I went in store, found the couch I liked, went on the website and APPLEPAY for my purchase and it delivered 48 hours later. Seamless, quick and easy. If you have the funds and don't have to finance through the store,(shocker: a stores finance system is difficult) you're gonna have a great experience. Delivery guys were awesome and made light work of bringing a whole couch to a 2nd floor apartment. Packaging was adequate but not overkill. All in all, I would buy again from here. Unless you're on a tight budget or don't own a credit card, you should consider shopping here as well. read more

Upon arrival, I showed an employee what I had ordered and was being delivered to my house soon, but I wanted to see it in person. She instructed me to walk in a direction, and that she was sending someone my way to assist me. I walked the whole floor in the area. She directed me to there were not many customers at all, but there were plenty of employees conversing with each other. I was not acknowledged even when I strolled in front of them. Absolutely terrible experience will never shop here again My grandmother ordered a rocking chair for our new baby, and from start to finish the experience was a nightmare. We initially scheduled a delivery, but when they supposedly "attempted" it, they claimed no one answered the gate. However, after reviewing our security cameras, it showed they were there for maybe two minutes and never tried to contact us from the gate. No call, no real attempt. Then we were told we'd have to pay an additional $65 just to have it redelivered, which felt unreasonable considering their lack of effort. To avoid the fee, we decided to pick it up ourselves. We scheduled a pickup time, and my 85-year-old grandmother had to come with us to show ID to release the chair. When we arrived at our scheduled time, they told us the chair wasn't even available and was actually on backorder. Why allow us to schedule a pickup if the item isn't there? We were told to call back in 4-5 days for an update. When we did, we were then told it would take another 4-5 weeks. At that point, we canceled the order and purchased a rocking chair elsewhere. Beware of Living Spaces predatory scam involving their extended warranty. Five years ago I bought all new furniture for my house. I was told that if I bought the extended warranty and didn't use it I would get that money back as a voucher to use at the store. Fast forward five years, I get my voucher, I go into the store and the first thing they say is I have to spend double the amount to get that money back. It's hilarious that that is the first thing they say to me but when they were selling the extended warranty they didn't mention it at all. They said it's in the brochure, but I was given the brochure stapled to my receipt after I paid. I 100% never would have purchased the extended warranty if they would have told me the actual terms. This is a dishonest, bait and switch, predatory practice. I know I'm not the first one scammed by this as the cashier was like a robot reciting generic policy for the store when I explained no one said anything about that when they were selling it to me. At no point did any of the employees convey sympathy that the company they worked for allowed for this to happen. To make matters worse the sales lady who stood next to the cashier complimented her on keeping her patience even though, I didn't yell, I wasn't rude, I refrained from saying, "what you did was dishonest" but instead made sure to name Living Spaces as the offender. I also told her I knew it wasn't her fault but that I know for certain if they were scammed out of $345 they would be upset too. Even now they have literature advertising the warranty that fails to mention that you have to pay double to get that money back. When I pointed it out to the sales associate she kept saying that means something else, however, it still fails to mention anything about double pay. The employee said it was a one off employee who doesn't work there anymore who did it but when I purchased chairs the employee being trained told me I had 7 days to return the items but neglected to tell me there's a 10% restocking fee. It's clear Living Spaces has a generic script that they feed to employees to help sell their products but negate to mention the fine print as it would make buyers think twice before making purchases. What they did was illegal, they should have to eat the cost for inefficient employee training. But they know what they're doing. read more

I spoke with Bernie first who I was clear with that I wanted California king size. I then went to the mattress and spoke to another employee who I confirmed with California king. At the end of all of it, they had me sign a paper and I did not notice it said king. After delivery, I Immediately went in store to dispute the mattress size and request the correct mattress be delivered as it is still unused. They stated they would not and that my only option was to wait 30 days and so the sleep exchange for extra fees. I was even fine with the extra fees if they could process it immediately as I need a bed to sleep on. They would not even let me do it right away, I do not want that mattress and is ridiculous to tell me to use the mattress and then return it. The worst part is that I only have 7 days to exchange the bed frame to the correct size so now I am being told to put the mattress on the floor and sleep on the floor. This is terrible customer service especially when I was about to buy a $6000 couch. When delivery date came the guys were so careful bringing my dresser inside! When I first opened up my dresser it was so perfect but one of the drawers was stiff so it wouldn't open up all the way, i called customer service right away and they scheduled me for a handy man to come fix it like that same week, unfortunately when he came I was showering so I didn't hear him knocking and he had also been calling me. I called back and apologized but he offered to come back the next day which I felt so bad but also appreciated soo much! Instead, I was pushed toward their financing partner, ACIMA, which was described as a "90-day, no-interest, pay-at-your-own-pace" option. Of course, I understood that if the balance wasn't paid off within 90 days, high interest would apply--that's the incentive to pay it off quickly. What I was repeatedly told, however, was that payments during those 90 days would be entirely up to me. That was not true. I walked out of the store completely unaware that automatic weekly payments had been set up on my account. Days later, I discovered a $200 automatic withdrawal from ACIMA, followed by an email outlining a weekly payment schedule I never agreed to and was never informed about. Even worse, I later learned there was an additional "ownership" cost totaling nearly $1,000 added on top of what I believed I owed. This includes fees that were never disclosed at the time of sale. I essentially walked out of the store thinking I owed one amount, only to find out I was being charged close to $1,000 more behind the scenes. The sales associate who promoted this financing option was extremely misleading--and it's now clear she either did not fully understand the ACIMA partnership herself or failed to explain it honestly. Either way, customers should not be subjected to unclear, half-explained financing terms that result in unexpected charges. Only after this experience did I check Yelp and see the low rating and similar complaints. Another major issue is that Living Spaces does not provide a customer service phone number--email-only support for serious financial disputes is unacceptable.I returned to the store in person because this entire situation felt dishonest and deceptive. They sent out a technician just to tell me he couldn't fix it and that the furnitures needed to be replaced. 1 month later they only deliver 1 out of 3 of the defective furnitures because the other 2 items were out of stock. These items were in stock when I spoke with the customer service representative at the time of my first complaint. No calls or emails were made to me about not having the other items in stock. They were reluctant to give us a tape measure because they knew the product on the floor was not the same dimensions as the product they will deliver to you. I measured 49 inches across on the power armless chair. The actual seat you get is just under 40 inches. The corner section measured 6 inches longer than whet they deliver to you. Went to Living Spaces on my birthday to pick out new dressers and a bed/adjustable base. Found the dressers I wanted, Amish-American made, real wood, great quality- but they were discontinued, so even though I spent a LOT of money on 2 pieces, they did not qualify for free delivery. Living Spaces told me to contact GoShare. So, I did. Spent over $240 for two guys (including tips) for the delivery 2-days later. I feel, after a certain amount spent, regardless of whether it's full price or not, they should offer free delivery, because these dressers were more expensive than a lot of their regular-priced pieces on the floor. Anyhow, that's not the worst part. It gets worse. My adjustable bed frame was supposed to be delivered today. When checking out, the associate told me that the base was actually on sale. But now, that put me below the free-delivery mark. So either I buy something small or pay the delivery fee. The associate suggested I buy some sheets & a pillow case protector to make up the difference so I wouldn't have to pay the delivery fee. Ok, done! I walk out excited. I'm so happy, I've been dreaming of an adjustable base for years and I'm finally going to have it and hopefully it helps my chronic back pain! I contacted them to inform that I would be unavailable on the scheduled day due to work commitments, and they indicated that rescheduling would incur an additional fee of $100. The service we received was an amazing and the furniture seems high quality and comfortable. However, their phone customer service and the customer service of their financing department (Synchrony Bank) has a lot to be desired but the Synchrony Bank issue is another review at another time. I financed a fairly large purchase, essentially for the 18 months same as cash. It took several days to post. In their defense it was the holidays so that I'm not upset with. It finally posted today. However, instead of cancelling the pending transaction, they ran a whole new one. My account now shows two different transactions putting me almost $5000 over my limit. That's the first issue. The next issue is when I called customer service, they told me there was nothing they can do about it and I had to go into the store (they claimed the local store did not have a phone number) and they **might** be able to change it. When I asked what I was supposed to do with my credit being over he essentially said I was stuck with that. I Nov have a large overdraw at a time I don't need it. Save yourself. Way too expensive. Customer service is only ok when you're about to buy something but once there are issues after, such as problems after, Especially if you have an accent, it's a nightmare. They charge you so many things and the quality is not great. Stuff on the showroom floor and names are very misleading to what you get delivered. RC willey has a great clearance side if you're looking for quality plus affordability. Any problems after the purchase, they're really great and helpful. read more

Rating of 2 stars is not surprising.. went to pick up 2 chairs I ordered online , the color was bright yellow vs their website photo that was more tan color. The nice guy opened the box and the color just wasn't it so I left the pickup area and went back to the store, the items never left the stores. The manager Nora was not helpful and insisted to charge a restocking fee.. for what ? The color was not matching the website color. Tried to explain to her I really wanted those items and waited for them couple of weeks, she was not helpful and charged me 10% restocking fee for items that never left the stock. I had an order I placed online that was supposed to come in 2 weeks, worth $3200. I paid the restocking fee and canceled the big order. Very disappointing experience and bad decision making and customer care on the manager side. I gave this store the benefit of the doubt and another try, and i will not be a customer again. Level up. Do not order anything that is online only but not in store only reason I'm even giving 1 star is cause they delivery drivers were great & really tried. As for when I called while the delivery drivers were here that experience was terrible!!!!!!! I ordered Bateman sectional when I went in the store the sales person told me the couch was only online and showed me a sectional told me it was it was the same dimensions as the Bateman it wasnt!!!!!!!! When this Bateman arrived it was huge out of 6pcs Only 4 fit in my living area. Then the delivery team couldn't get the pieces to connect properly! i called living spaces and they told me the delivery team has 2 hours to try put it together so I have to allow them to be in my home for 2 hours struggling to put ill fitting furniture together for 2 hours!!!! the piece did not connect together well nor did it sit flat on the ground mind you I paid close to 3k for this couch! Then I was told if I refused it I'd have to pay the restocking fee... it was not my fault the couch was manufactured improperly VERY DISAPPOINTING WILL BE WAITING ON MY REFUND. was not able to spoke to a manager either read more

Deceiving practices and false advertising. Love the bed, don't love being deceived. Was an offer on their promo page of a $300 gift card with purchase of eligible mattresses. Click the link just below said offer and takes you to a list of mattresses. Assuming these were all eligible, they were not. No way of obtaining list of said eligible mattresses unless you talk to customer service chat, but by that time you've probably already purchased a mattress and expecting a gift card only to find out you've been deceived. Ironically this would have likely made me purchase a much more expensive mattress if only to get a gift card based on their list of eligible mattresses, let alone probably get me to spend more money with said gift card.
