Nails always turn out ok, but they NEVER honor appointment times. I just left in tears after waiting an hour past my appointment time because this was the only time I had to get nails done before my maternity photo shoot. 4 people walked in after me and they all got helped before I finally just left, I always make an appointment and its the same bullshit every time. So many things went wrong with my trip to this nail salon, and they go as followed, 1. For starters, me and my mom made an appointment a couple days prior and when we got there we still ended up having to wait 20-30 minutes, even having people who just walked in go ahead of us. 2. They rushed the whole process. My toenails were uneven, and they rushed us out afterwards so one of my toenails ended up getting scuffed. 3. I got a manicure and asked for the white French tips. Simple enough right? Wrong. My finger nails were also uneven, and the white tip part was done poorly as well. After about a day of having them done, they started turning this nasty yellow and orange color, Yuck! They must not have used the right top coat or something, because each day that goes by, there's getting more yellow and nasty. I ended up just having to use nail polish remover, because I couldn't stand to look at them anymore. End of story being, I will never go back here again, and I ended up wasting $50 on my visit to this salon. read more

I had a terrible experience, I came in asking for French tips in a almond shape, and she did my nails in 30 minutes ( I felt she was rushing because there was another client she was doing at the same time waiting for her to finish my nails) then when she did my French tips without the pink under polish and did the wrong French tip style I asked for. After leaving I saw my pointer finger was crooked and went back in there, she told me it was my fault and that she can't help if they are crooked. every other time I have had my nails done they have been straight. when I left my sister was still getting her nails done and heard her talking bad about me. Had time at the last minute today to get my nails done and was very happy when they could take me at the last minute. I had a nail extension on that I had to take off, and then I wanted to have a gel manicure. They had Penny work with me. I could tell getting the nail extension off was a challenge but she did what needed to be done and did a great job. There was one thing when having my gel put on that I asked her that I felt I wanted done, and she was so gracious and kind and there was no issue whatsoever. I was horrified tonight to witness how the workers here treated a customer who had called in and was trying to make an appointment over the phone. The customer, who was a second language speaker, was having a hard time communicating what day and with whom she wanted her appointment with. The woman attending her call corrected her pronunciation of the name of the manicurist she wanted saying in a sarcastic tone: "Her name is Tess, not Tiss! Can you say that? Can you repeat after me?? TESS!" While she was still speaking on the line, one woman in particular was holding the phone out to the other workers and they were all laughing about how they didn't want to take the call. I'm sure the caller could hear. This behavior continued for several minutes. This is absolute bullying nonsense. I spoke up and told them that they needed to be kind to their customers and since they are both second language speakers (I am one myself) that there should be a level of patience - and most of all respect! for those around you. I was shrugged off. Needless to say, I won't be returning. I won't patronize an establishment that treats people like trash...people who were looking to give them business! Shameful. read more

I made a 3:00 appointment for my 14 year old daughter. She showed up and waited for an hour!! No one ever asked her if she had an appointment and never said a word to her the entire time she was waiting. She finally walked out and left! This is ridiculous!! This is NOT the first time this has happened to her here! First time it happened, I was with her and they asked if we had an appointment and I told them yes and they still made her wait an hour!! And then never offered any kind of discount. This is the worst salon I've ever been to. Lannie refused to put a new set on my old nails even though they needed one. She just glued them together. They cracked a couple weeks later. Came back paid for her to fix it did the same thing and the next day it broke off and when I came back to have her fix this she wanted to have me wait an hour to fix one nail and charge me again. The salon is nice and well staffed. The friends in my large group seemed happy with their manis and pedis but I was disappointed with the service and my pedicure. The water in the foot soak was cold. After the pedicure was finished, most of my toes needed another coat because the polish was thin and uneven in spots. The technician seemed annoyed and kept blaming it on the low-quality polish. Last negative was that I found the prices high. Maybe I'm spoiled by LA prices, but I can get a spa mani/pedi for about the same price as I paid for just the pedicure here. One thing I did appreciate is that shortly after leaving the salon, someone stepped on my foot and chipped my polish. Nail tech Bill did my fill in, nail repair with gel polish finish and did a superb job. He was very professional and didn't treat me any different from a paying white client. I did not have an appointment, I was a walk in and ultimately ended up with probably the best tech in the salon. I am very picky with my nails and I couldn't find 1 flaw. I also got a polish change on my feet. One thing I didn't like was they do not have the matching polish for your feet as other salons do. The nail tech that did my feet (may have been the owner) was not so professional, she literally asked for a tip when ringing me out which I found highly offensive and only tipped Bill who earned his tip through his service. read more

Just got back from having my nails done by a man at your salon. It's the worst job I have ever had done. He said it was because of my nail polish. I had polish on my fingers and bags of polish on three fingers. I will never come back to a place that can't be trusted to do something as simple as putting polish on my nails. I never asked to have my legs rubbed and was charged, up selling at its best. Last time I was there, after making an appointment, I watched as regulars went before me and I waited in line like I didn't have an appointment, which I made two weeks in advance. I arrived at 3:25 , my 1st time at Liz Nails. I was scheduled at 3:30 for pedicure and eyebrow waxing. While I was seated promptly at 3:35 I had to soak for 30+ minutes as they were overbooked. I observed several disgruntled customers justifiably complaining that "walk-ins" were being seated before those already scheduled & waiting. Thus, if anything, I believe that focusing on the client flow process & serving those with timed appointments before serving walk-ins would improve the customer satisfaction and ultimately the technicians would feel less stressed. My technician was Tess, very pleasant. Surprisingly she never donned gloves. (I thought gloved techs were a standard). She did push other services, but not to an extreme. I did not have a polish applied so this review might be limited. However, Tess did a thorough & professional pedicure. My nails are even, cuticles are clean & neat. Her brow waxing was very good, no pain, quick & efficient. I will certainly return next time I'm in the area while visiting relatives. read more

I've been going here for about a year. Not the best manicure but the place is clean looking. I found Tess and chose her continually. With my last manicure, as usual, Tess pushed other services I chose eye brow waxing. I noticed it hurt more than usual. I really wanted her to put that soothing cool powder on my eyebrows. I guess they don't do that there. She did the wax before manicure. While doing my manicure I stated that my eyebrows were still burning. She didn't reply or respond. When I got home my eyebrow area was very red. I put cool cloth on them, the next day I had a blister between my eyebrows. I have had my eyebrows waxed) at many different places. This is the only one that doesn't do something after pulling wax off. The blister, then scab lasted at least a week. A bit unsightly. Not what you're picturing when you get them done. I also got pneumonia that week. Clean chairs? I'm just saying. read more

I don't know why I continuously return here. Everytime I go I am disappointed with the work they do. The painting looks worse than I could have done myself, and she did not even use top coat on my toes and its coming off the next morning!!! First time in, the service was OK. Nails weren't painted evenly. Nothing that stood out to me that would make me return.

My 14 year old daughter saves her own hard earned money to get her nails done. Several times she has made an appointment and waited for an hour. Always the same, no apology, no discount, no extra services. Today we went in for her 3 o'clock appt and at 4pm she finally left. We called from the car to complain and all we received was more arrogance and lies. They said she never signed in, which she did more than once during her hour wait. No apology, no offer to have us comeback and make it right. Just excuses and blame shifting. Never ever going back to this place. Strongly recommend you do the same. Give your money to companies that appreciate it. We are reasonable normal people who never complain. This place is horrible. read more
