Worst nail experience I have ever had. I went here to get an acrylic French set, which I have gotten many times in my life. I wish they would have said that they did not know how to do this type of nails. By the time the woman was finished she had completely filed down all of the French tip. When I asked her if she could fix it she gave me attitude and said that my nails were too small for this type of nail, I continued to tell her that I had gotten these done many times before and this is not how it's supposed to look. On top of that she cut my fingers so much to the point where they were bleeding. When it was time to check out my bill was $40 more than what they had told me it was going to be. Today was my first time going here since I was in the area. They seemed to be very nice to their return customers but treated me poorly. I came in wanting to get a no chip mani / regular pedi. The pedi took an hour and a half during which the woman cut my toe (which made me bleed) and had to redo a toe nail because she messed it up. My regular pedicure ended up taking an hour and a half and I was so disappointed that I decided a manicure wouldn't be worth it. I have honestly never had such a bad experience at a nail salon and will NEVER be coming back. Do not recommend. read more

My friend and I came in this afternoon to get our nails done and we both left unsatisfied. As soon as we got to her car, the paint on my nails smudged a little. She reported that hers were also screwed up. She seemed to be in a hurry, and so we didn't go back to have our nails redone, but we left them over the drying fan & they seemed perfectly dry in the salon. Next time we will go to a place that has the drying lamps instead of the fans. read more

If it would let me, I'd give this salon ZERO stars!! I had never been to this nail salon and I will never go back again. The gentleman who did my manicure yesterday was so aggressive while cutting my cuticles, and despite several vocalizations that I was in pain and bleeding he continued. He out this solution over my bleeding nails that burned so badly I could hardly breathe. I left very upset and felt like I threw my money away... which I did. Today I went into the salon to show them and the 2 ladies were very sorry and seemed genuinely shocked by what they saw. However, they did not offer to refund me my money or for free services done by them in the future. I probably could have asked for my money back, but felt weird about doing so if they didn't offer. My fingers are swollen, red, and scabbing over; I am in so much pain because he cut live skin and not just the dead cuticle. I am worried about infection now. I would advise that you find another nail salon. read more

Absolutely hated my experience. My nails took 40 Minutes simply because they were watching the tv and rudely talking to each other and ignoring me when I asked questions or tried to make conversation. They made comments about how terrible my nails were when I came in, which I had done myself. They didn't fully remove my nail polish and therefore you can see the blue underneath two of my nails, and on a few of them, they literally didn't paint my entire nail so the tips of my nails are exposed. I got to the salon and there was only one other customer. While there getting my nails done, lots more people came and they only had 2 employees. That appeared to stress them out. My toes look great, from what I can tell, but my nails look horrible! They painted my nails while I was sitting at the pedicure station and the nail polish is all over. I asked to get my nails done first so I could go home and be able to play with my son. I asked for the lady to use nail polish remover with a brush to fix it up and on the first two nails she did, she made it look worse, so I didn't point out any more spots (no time for me to have them repainted because I need them to be dry so I can take care of my baby). While staying locally for a few days, I thought I'd give this place a second chance, as my last pedicure there in the spring left something to be desired. I should have spent my money elsewhere! It may be because I'm not a regular, but I was not welcomed with a warm greeting. I was treated as if I were part of an assembly line, and they were moving quickly. I think the nail technichian said about 4 words to me the whole time I was there. She moved my legs in uncomfortable positions to make it easier for her to do her job. My favorite part of a pedicure is a massage, so I know I'm picky about massages, but I've never had a pedicure where they don't at least use both hands on one leg or foot! She quickly "massaged" both legs at the same time! There is still dead/rough skin on my toes, and when I left I noticed there is nail polish left on the skin around my toes. After paying for a pedicure, I now need to go back with a Q-tip and nail polish remover to clean up the skin around my toes. The facility seemed clean enough, or at least on par with similar salons around Chicago, so they earn points for that. However, next time I'm in the area I will be looking for another nail salon. Lack of friendliness, neatness, and a quality pedicure leaves me disappointed with Liz's Nails...again. read more

I have been going to Liz Nails for eons. I never know my schedule and they always accommodate me last minute as a walk-in. I guess I have taken them for granted all these years because no matter who I see the job is always professional and top notch. What everyone expects...I thought. I learned differently yesterday. They we're awesome with the child I brought with me even though she was scared they helped her get through her fear. Desperately seeking salon that does a great job with shellac! The people were nice, the facility was nice, but the nails just didn't cut it. I picked a nude color for an interview, and the lady tried to talk me out of it, and into a French manicure. I had to say no twice. While getting my nails done, the lady tried to get me to have my eyebrows waxed. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. I literally had just waxed my eyebrows, and I didn't ask for that when I made an appointment, please don't ask me to pay for more services that I clearly don't need or want. The nails were filed ok, the color and options were great, but the polish bled over and into my skin. She tried to get rid of it, but I noticed afterward there was polish dried to my skin, and once I got it off, the polish around the edges lipped up so it got snagged and chipped. Id tell people this place is OK, but I will never come back. read more

I've gone here three times. Twice I got nail infections. Ask to see the license of the person doing your nails. I guarantee they won't be able to produce one. Remember, you get what you pay for. They also use tools that aren't legal (the razors they use during pedicures) and if you watch they use the same tools on multiple people without cleaning. The products are also sub par. If you want a CND Shellac manicure you aren't getting it here. The products are nowhere near CND quality. Go to a reputable salon and a licensed professional. read more

I'm so disappointed with the service today. I asked for flowers which she then proceeded to get the sticker ones that ya know you use at home. One of her regular customers walked in and she immediately started rushing. Like okay I am paying $50 for a pedicure and you are not even taking your time. So she sticks these flowers in mind you they still are attached to the plastic and when she realized that it wouldn't come off the plastic she just PAINTED OVER THE DAMN PLASTIC. She proceeded to take a pair of scissors to try and cut the hanging plastic off my nail which she ended up just cutting down to the bare minimum of my nail which I expressed that it hurt. What does she do? Take a damn nail file to raw skin. Nice. I told her again how I did not like the way it looked and found it very sloppy and she then took off the sticker (strip of plastic included) and painted on my nails. Well the first one looked great! Then, she dropped too much pink paint onto my other nail and just tried to play it off and literally swirled the pink and white together. Again I expressed how awful they looked growing a little more upset and she smiles and laughs and goes "oh. My. God" and then takes the paint off doesn't put a base coat on, and paints two layers on very quickly. When she went for the flower paint bottles I simply said "no it's okay no flowers" and she looks at me with this mean look and goes "no I do flower" I continued to say please no damn flowers and well that didn't stop her. The second she was done she got up and went right to the regular customer and I knew when I left she was talking about me. I was embarrassed to ask her to keep fixing my nails but if she took her time and didn't rush they would've looked wonderful. I'm still pretty upset. I will not be returning. read more

I have a $25 gift certificate that has no expiration date on it. Called Liz's to inquire and book a manicure service. Liz's will not honor the gift certificate saying it was before 2015 when she purchased the salon and it was purchased from the old owners. Any good business would still honor the gift certificate because it may lead to a future client. What will it cost her in time; a manicure? Be leary on purchasing gift certificates from Liz's, they may not be honored in the future! read more

Every time I come here I have a great experience, they always make sure I am happy when I leave whether I'm getting a manicure, pedicure, or both. I think they are pretty affordable as well. I've never left unhappy and I've tried other nail salons because I moved so this one is kind of out of the way now but now I just take the drive back out here because I know I'll always receive great service here! read more

I was extremely unimpressed by Liz's Nails. I got a no chip French manicure and they only did one coat of white so you could see parts of my nail due to it not being thick enough. I had extra paint all over my fingers that they never cleaned up, and 2 of my nails chipped within the first 24 hours. In addition, I had three different nail practitioners working on me for the one service. I would not recommend this place and I will not be back. read more

Got my nails done today and won't be going back. I gave them 1 star to be nice given they did use a new file (which u should anyway so whatever). They didn't talk to me at all, just each other and I couldn't understand a word, so I have no idea but I'm pretty sure I was being made fun of, great feeling when you're spending money. Also their site says they accept cc's, yes they do- however, to tip you have to pay cash, I didn't know so I didn't go to the ATM. Anyway, I felt bad but the service was crap anyway so ill live. As far as atmosphere- forget it. Not at all relaxing with the overpowering chemical smell and 80s decorating. My nails turned out just ok- the trim and shape is nice but the top coat has a ton of bubbles. Find another salon. I'm pretty sure the good review I read before going today was actually written by them- given the staff was on their laptops the whole time. Ugh, disappointing. read more
