I visited Lisle Nail Lounge a few days ago for a simple full set, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. During the service, the technician applied so much pressure while working on my nails that I began bleeding and experienced severe pain. I told her that I was in pain, but the service continued, including on my other nails, while I was visibly uncomfortable and shaking. I am still experiencing significant pain today. After the service, I felt that the technician was rude and dismissive when I was trying to pay. I also asked if I could apply lotion or something to help soothe the pain, but I was not allowed to do so. I was also surprised to see a tip added to my total, which increased the amount by approximately $40 compared with what we normally pay. Because I was still in significant pain and overwhelmed by the situation, I did not feel able to argue about the charge or request a refund at the time. What makes this especially disappointing is that I had been a loyal customer for months and had already given the salon another chance after previous experiences that left me feeling disrespected. Unfortunately, this was the third time I have had an issue with the way I was treated, and this experience was the final straw. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously. I've been coming here for a long time on and off whenever I'm around the area. Today, I was bummed to see one of the nail techs hurt my big toe. The corner of my big toe is gone. She needed to be more gentle while working on my cuticles, filing the nails, or trimming. My nail tech made excuses for what she did to my nail, saying it was a burn. It was not a burn. 3 hours ago NEW I've been going here for years and recently they changed ownership. I wrote in a $6 tip and my service totaled $46. They wrote in a $10 tip and charged me $50. I went in and they gave me the $4 back in cash, however no refund was given when I should have been refunded completely for the service. I realize the policy is "no refunds" but a privately owned business can break policy - especially when I was stolen from. I felt I deserved a refund. I disputed the transaction with my bank and the salon called me to basically bi*tch at me for doing that. Months later, my bank reversed the transaction and I still had to pay for the service. My nails chipped after one week anyway, which they always do when I go here. I usually don't complain about businesses but these people are shady and just want larger tips because they're greedy. The same older tech did my dip nails that came out so horrible. It's one thing to be super fast and efficient but my nails were so uneven, were supposed to be square and some were round... Ugh. I've been going to this nail salon for about six years. It's a pretty solid salon, but my last view visits have not been great. On my last visit I got dipping powder on my nails. It's summer, so I decided to go with white nails. About a week after I got my nails done the dip started to chip off. In my experience dip should last at least two weeks. I was very disappointed to say the least because I paid $55. I still decided to come back again and this time I received a pedicure and no chip manicure. The pedicure was one of the worst I've ever had. It wasn't relaxing at all because the nail tech (a male, not sure of his name) was being very rough. It literally felt as if he was stabbing my toes. Very painful. I told him that he was hurting me, but he continued with the roughness. My no chip polish has already started chipping and its only been 3 days. I think I'm going to find another nail salon because I don't want to continue to pay $45-$60 for manicures and the polish still chips within a few days. read more
