When my outdated AC unit was on the fritz, Chris H. came out the same day to provide me a reasonable estimate for a replacement. I already knew that the unit was beyond repair and I kept putting it off. I had already priced out some units with other companies. None of the competitors came anywhere close to their price. Rick Y has to be the worst counter-man/sales associate one could ever encounter. He is utterly lacking in social grace. The exhaust inducer motor on our furnace died; of course on the coldest days of winter. I called Lizut after business hours on Thursday evening and left a message. I called again exactly at 8:00 Friday morning and left another message. At about 8:15 a gentleman called me back and discussed my situation. He said he would have a repairman at my house no later than noon and the repairman would call me before he was about to leave. the repairman called me about 9:30 and arrived about a half hour later. It was an easy job (for him) and he was very professional. The repair took about an hour. Their cost was $85 for the service call plus $120 for one hour of labor. The cost of parts (inducer motor, inducer fan wheel, cooling fan, mounting grommets, and flame sensor was $389 for a total of $594. The cost of parts seemed a little high compared to internet prices but when it is 48 deg in the house you can't wait for internet parts. read more

The guy that works at the counter has so many issues I can't even list them. He stares at you like you're crazy. He laughed at me for some of the questions I asked. I just bought my first house, and I don't know much about the HVAC system, so I wanted some advice. He walked away and never came back. The girl in the office came out and apologized for him. I told her she did not have to do that. She gave me some advice of where I can go online to learn more about my HVAC system. I give her 5 stars but that guy 0. I went in a few days later to get filters. He was there and again the personality of a newt. The girl was there again, and she helped me. I feel bad for her having to work with that guy. read more

Worst service ever. DO NOT call these people for any reason. They are rude, unprofessional, and generally just horrible human beings. I drove to their business to talk to them about a problem I was having. When I told Rick the symptoms and asked his opinion he literally stared at me for a full eight or nine seconds without responding, I guess for dramatic effect, before finally responding "Kiss of death". Then he just continued to stare at me for another five seconds before I eventually had to ask him "Okay. What does that mean?". I'm not making this up. He continues to stare at me for another ten seconds and then says "Heat exchanger". Silence. So I say "Okay. That sounds bad. What do you recommend?" More awkward staring followed by "You might need a new one". I left and went home to my frigid house and to verify that it did in fact smell acidic, apparent confirming that it was a bad heat exchanger. When I went back to their store, the extremely rude enormous rhino of a woman said he wasn't there and after explaining to her that we had been "working together" to solve a problem I had she apparently decided I was worthy of information and told me her would return in approximately an hour and a half. I guess this was all the information she was willing to distribute because she just wandered back into the office with the huge window and sat down in front of a meal meant for a small family and just dug in like it was her last meal. So I gave him some time and gave him a call back after two hours and he told me he would call around and check for parts and call me back. That was two weeks ago and he has never returned my call. I had been in there before purchasing parts for my furnace last year and an older gentleman, presumably the owner, talked with me and helped me determine what part I needed and I purchased it from them. I could have bought it online for about $100.00 less but I figured since he was good enough to help me identify the part, he deserved my business. He is apparently no longer in the office and Rick has the interpersonal skills of a baked potato so I would avoid these losers like the plague. I called Kotz Heating, Cooling and Plumbing (248-674-4999) the next morning after not hearing back from Captain Grumpy Pants and they came out within two hours of me placing the call. I spent over $11k for a new furnace and air conditioner with those guys and would do it again. I honestly would have gladly purchased an entire new system from Lizut if Rick wasn't such a tool. You're a horrible human being for treating clients with such blatant disrespect and just leaving me and my family hanging without heat. Lizut deserves to be out of business and I truly hope that happens so no one else will have to deal with these lowlife garbage people. read more

Unprofessional and unethical organization. Salesman Rick Y. took my money for a new furnace and basically disappeared. I was promised support for duct fabrication and was ignored. Luckily, I found a couple of good outfits (Mr Furnace, Triple J Ductwork) afterwards and was able to complete the project. Receptionist was unhelpful and has the personality of stale bread. Should have read the reviews regarding Lizut beforehand, the negative reviews reflect my experience. Sham outfit, avoid these guys. They are bad news. read more

BEWARE- It is my personal advice that people should NOT conduct business with this company. They did NOT honor thier contract with my family, and they are guilty of Fraud against us. We have been lied to on Many occasions by employees: Chris, and Ken- who uses vulgar language and demonstrates an incredibly low level of intelligence. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau for their actions. TERRIBLE. I live approx 2 miles away from Lizut - I made an appointment on 10/20/2014 for a technician to look at my boiler at 8:30am. I also took time from work to meet with the tech at this time. 9:00am rolls around and i'm wondering where the technician is - so I drive down the road to Lizut to see what is going on. They tell me their service guy called in sick. NO ONE BOTHERED TO SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH ME. this business thinks your time is worthless. - If these jackasses worked for me i'd have them fired for not keeping a simple appointment for a service call 2 miles down the road. Don't give these people your money. BEWARE!!!! I thought Lizut being close would make it easier for them to work with me, despite the poor reviews, my mistake!! They came to my house TWICE and only did what I had called in for and not one thing else. The first time was ten minutes. The second time 20 minutes. The second guy had no personality and could barely answer my questions. They knew I was a single woman buying my first house and knew nothing about HVAC. You would think they would take the time to see what else needed fixing. But instead did minimum work and left. They charge $89 for the call and get in and out as quickly as possible. About a month and a half ago I had a second air conditioning unit installed by Lizut and I was very pleased with their quick response and installation. My AC went out the middle of July. I made an appointment at another company but they were 2 weeks out. I drove by this company and stopped in, told them my issue and that I live close by. Someone was there within 2 hours. In about 30 minutes they said I needed a new compressor, but it may be hard to find. I said let me know. They billed me $140. I have called every week and no one there will call me back. No one knows who went to my house for the service or if a part is being looked for, nevermind that they can't seem to remember me calling from one week to the next. Unprofessional. read more

Awful company.. Buyer beware.. We had central air installed in our house 2 years ago.. The air sometimes works and sometimes doesn't ..Try to get a hold of this company for service is impossible. They outwardly lie to you say they are coming to your home and never show up..They have a receptionist that answers the phone and she lies to you and says you are on the schedule for today .. But again no one shows up..You literally have to spend hours calling them and make them honor their warranty. Then when they do finally show up the air will work for a week and then stop again..This company needs to be put out of business!! read more

Stay away from this company! Super unreliable und unprofessionell. They never return your calls, even if they say they will come back to you. The first time I dealt with them, they sent someone out who was not capable to solve the issue: It smelt burnt in my house and the fire department had shut off the furnance. That guy said it simply was the dust burning off, even though the furnace had run for weeks. Two days later, the burnt smell was back. Called the company. They said they would send someone out. I called back several times that day to get an update, since I am working full time and need to make arrangements. They were unable to provide any information- or let's say unwillig to do so. However, they left for the day, without informing me if and when someone would come out the next day! So, the next day after I called twice again, another guy shows up, who immediately knew that the motor had to be replaced and apologized for the first guy's mistake. I was happy with his job. So, just last week, my furnace failed completely, with degrees below freezing outside. I called the company, asking for that second guy that had been able to fix the first issue. I was told "they would try to send someone out this afternoon." I pointed out that it was absolutely freezing in my house and if they were unable to send someone out that day, I would have to contact a different company. I was told, he would provide me with an update. Hours passed and until today I never heard back from them. Without words. Lousy customer service and bad attitude. Lizut is completely and totally irresponsible. If I knew how to rate them "no stars" I'd do it. They don't return calls; they don't show up when they say they will, or they don't show up at all. It took us weeks to get them to commit to a time to service our generator and then, not only did they not come, but they didn't have the common decency to call and let us know. If you are a person who is accustomed to professionalism and great service, PLEASE PLEASE do not employ this company. My hot water tank went out 12 days ago for two days we had a friend to try and diagnosis the problem He concluded that a part was faulty on a 5 year old HWT. I contacted Lizut and spoke with Eloise and she had someone to come out that same day for $89.00 the technician concluded a new part needed to be order. The part was under warranty and so She said she was ordering the part the next day which was a Thursday, April 27th from the manufacture. I have called everyday and spoke with a different female who's tone each day got aggravated and rude, mind you we haven't had hot water in over a week and she's aggravated. After 12 days I finally qualified for the DTE protection plan and called them May 8th and by 3:30 p.m., that day my Hot Water was back on and still no call from Lizut. I live above the business next to Lizut. I park my car out front, daily, because I LIVE here. This morning I look out my window and notice that one of their work vans has both doors wide open, the driver side rear door touching my car. I continue to watch and 2-3 employees go by, continuing to fill the back of the van. I took several pictures and a video of the owner, shutting the door, again, scraping and scratching the paint on my car. I went down to assess the damage, if any, and indeed, there is a scratch into the paint of my car. I then said something to the two employees outside, they were unapologetic, dishonest, and dismissive, sending me inside the business to discuss with the owner (the one whom I have on video closing the van door), who was once again, unapologetic, disrespectful, dishonest and dismissive. WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS!! I setup an appointment for an estimate for a job that is less than 1/4 mile from their business in June. Got a all from Chris approx 1 hour before appt time explaining he was running late and couldn't make it at that time. I gave him the lockbox code for access to the house. I was told he would take a look later that day or the next and then get back to me with an estimate. By the second and third week of July I was calling the office for the status. Each time I was told they would check and call back. NO CALL BACK. The last week of July I got a call from a different person who actually scheduled a walk through on July 28. Since Then I have called 3 to 4 times asking for status. NO CALL BACK! I completely understand that they are busy. Even if they cannot get to me for a month, two months, all I need is a returned call. A simple returned call with an estimate of work and start date. Who conducts business like this??? After reading other reviews on this company, I am actually thankful they didn't!. Gave them one star because the app makes you enter at least one. My opinion is zero stars! Zed! read more
