Worst experience EVER - TERRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL, SALEMAN WAS RUDE TO ME AND MY WIFE AND TOLD US TO…read more"BUY YOUR HELMETS SOMEWHERE ELSE' AFTER WE DIDN'T GET OUR BIKE FROM HIM. READ THE WHOLE STORY AND YOU'LL RUN AWAY TOO. I know a salesperson there and thought of him as a 'buddy' since we had worked together years ago and always had a good working relationship. I wanted to do business with him, even though his manager and I didn't always get along, and I had made a deal on a 2009 Can Am Spyder over the phone with him telling him that I'd take the bike 100% for sure. The day I'm supposed to pick it up they call and tell me they 'didn't have an oil filter so the oil wasn't changed' to which I said "ok just take the cost of an oil change off the price and I'm good." Then he says 'oh, and there is an open recall on the steering too" when I asked why it wasn't done he replied that they couldn't do it. I thought about taking it in myself but when I didn't get a phone call back from the local Can Am dealer my wife and I decided that maybe this wan't the right vehicle for us to buy because it doesn't make sense to spend $12,000 for something that doesn't work properly and wasn't properly serviced by the dealer. By the time we decided against it, (I was flying home from Philly) the dealer was closed. As luck would have it, that evening a private owner let us know that she'd sell us her Spyder for $1,000 less that the one at M&M and it was all serviced and ready to go. The next morning at 8AM I called but none of the salespeople come in before 10 so I left a message for the salesman on his voicemail explaining the situation. We still wanted to bring them some business, feeling bad that it didn't work out, so we went in to buy two helmets with communicators. The salesman was obnoxious saying that I made him look like an ass because I didn't come get the bike. I explained that the lack of proper service and the recall made us uncomfortable an then someone else offered one properly serviced for $1,000 less. He continued to blame me instead of realizing that an unsafe, unserviced bike isn't good to sell. My wife told him that he was being rude and we reminded him that we were still bringing business to the store with helmets and his response was "BUY YOUR HELMETS SOMEWHERE ELSE, WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE". We took his advice, stumbled across lifecycle and met the nicest staff over there. We'll NEVER go to M&M again and we'd recommend that nobody shop there. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this store to experience their abuse and I'm surprised they haven't gone out of business after this experience. I have almost 20 years of selling experience and I know that deals don't always work out but if you treat people right you can get their business later. M&M Would have still received our business on accessories and a bike for my son had they not treated us like garbage. I am happy we spent $11000 elsewhere and even happier that we bought our helmets, communicators, boots and gloves at life cycle and we will continue to buy at life cycle for life (no pun intended). Warning the masses. Mat

I was nine years old back then and he was eight years old I think (that was way back in 1978). We were neighbors for over 15 years. I don't let anyone else work on my car except Lowder's because I know and trust the owner, Bob, and I know that he will ALWAYS do right by me. He hasn't ever tried to pull a fast one on me (or any of my family or friends) like other mechanics do; he does what's actually needed or what I've asked to be done (IF it's legal of course but NOT if it's something illegal like putting a muffler on a vehicle that doesn't have a catalytic converter on it (or other stuff like that), because that's quite illegal!). He does the right thing, he always has that I know of and I've never heard anyone taking bad about him, EVER --- not even in high school. He's just and simply a great and honest man; and you can trust him. Oh! He WON'T give you some triple the price estimate and try to rip you off either, he's not like that at all. I refer people to go to him at Lowder's Automotive every single time someone is talking about having vehicle problems or the need of a good honest mechanic. He runs the office and front counter now and doesn't get under the cars anymore because he has some great people working for him there. He WON'T put up with a dishonest mechanic working in his shop either. I fully know that he would give them the boot too if they ever tried something like that! They work on lots of types of vehicles there and they're certified & licensed. And you can see the legal certifications and licenses posted there if you'd like to. He is an awesome person to know too. Talk with him awhile if you're wanting to know more about him and his business, I'm sure that he will fill you in on anything that you will need to know. He's been working on cars since we were kids. Oh, and BTW, he is still about Mopar too. Js. I'm a Chevy man myself but I don't hold the fact that he's into Mopar against him. LoL! So if you're into Dodge vehicles, especially big trucks, just bring that up and you're sure to have a nice conversation with him. Tell him that you read this on Yelp and that his old friend and neighbor Todd sent you. I hope that this helps your in your decision making. You simply can't go wrong with Lowder's at your service. After calling three different times that day with space in between each call I gave up but just to make sure it wasn't just on my end or they were extremely busy I called off a different number, and immediately got an answer I took my business elsewhere.
