One of the best around, have been going to this salon for years. My original stylist always did exactly what I needed. She worked with me on determining the correct color and then gave me the haircut that I requested. Upon her retirement a different stylist took me on. Color is always just right and the haircuts I received always look great. This is a clean shop with experienced stylists. I appreciate the professional and competence. I am very happy with my experience here. It started off pretty wobbly. HUGE miscommunication on the part of the receptionist, who did not appear to feel at all bad that he had made a mistake. I had actually gotten up to leave, but the owner very gently apologized and guided me back. I was apprehensive because I have had some cringe-worthy, horror movie in the making misadventures with hair stylists, and I get so nervous every time I go to one. I hadn't yet found my "it" place. I'm so glad they were able to convince me to stay, because my hair looks amazing. It would be easy to dock a star for how it started, but I believe in second chances, and good finishes. This has both. My stylist Maribella, was professional, highly skilled and honest. All traits I appreciate tremendously in a hair stylist. I have a LOT of hair and I was there for about 4 hours. My ass was killing me, lol... Just a friendly tidbit to all my other sisters out there with long thick locks, do yourself a favor and bring a little seat cushion. Usually good with hair but they charge way more than posted. They post their price online but then charge way more when you check out. This has happened several times. (short hair, single root color only) Last time my $45 charge was increased to $65 because of blow drying. Today's charge should have been $40 because I used a different stylist and waived the blow dry. But After the service, they said the charge was $55 because "no, it starts at $40" but that is not what the checkout and appt receipt says. It says $40. The stylist said she has "never charged $40, ever!". She was quite emphatic. So again, the posted prices are a lie. The people at this shop don't care to be honest and open. If you want to charge $55, then do it. Don't cheat. There is no honor or respect for your customers when you do that. read more

This salon is full of talented professionals. Tammy has been cutting my hair for over a year. She gave me some ideas after a bad home color. I was very skeptical since I have never had my hair professionally colored. Less than 2 hours later, she gave me beautiful highlights that not only look natural but for less than $75.00. Her hair cuts are always superb and I am in and out within an hour. Appointments are recommended but I have walked in from time and time and been seen within 15 minutes. They provide drinks while you wait and the environment is very welcoming. I also want to mention that my mom has dementia and is often confused and mean. The staff is so welcoming and kind to her, when she comes to get her hair colored and cut. They make her feel comfortable, at home and at ease. I just stopped by in person to make an appointment. I waited until the receptionist was off the phone and she greeted me warmly. As I began to say I wanted an appoint for hair color, the phone rang again and she answered it, mid conversation with me. She put her index finger up asking me to wait one second. That's a hard no for me. I'm standing there in person booking an appointment and she answered the phone while we're speaking. If this is the service I get at the receptionist level, I can only imagine what I could expect from the colorist. Manners matter and the phone does not ever take priority over an in person client. This salon came highly recommended and I live only a few blocks away so it's unfortunate to have a bad experience. read more

I went to this salon because it was an Aveda salon, even though there were no reviews. Bad idea. Granted the salon was decorated nicely. I heard 2 customers offered beverages while I was there, but I was not offered a drink at all. The girl who cut my hair must have been a beginner. While shampooing my hair, she got water all over my face multiple times. NEVER has that happened before. The cut itself wasn't to my liking. I don't think the girl who cut my hair understood what I wanted. Get this...blow drying is $4 extra. Seriously???? She straightened my hair but it was wavy at the end of the next day. She didn't use a flat iron until I asked her to and didn't use any special products to help keep it sleek. The worst part was paying. The website advertises $34 and up. My cost was $45. No pricing posted ANYWHERE in the salon. I will not return. read more

I've been coming here on and off for a couple years whenever I'm in town since my mother lives around the corner. No matter who I got I was never disappointed. This is the only salon that can accurately do a nice and perfect bob and not use a razor blade which I hate because it gives me split ends quicker. I've recently been growing my hair out and using the owner Heidi. I didn't know what I wanted but she talked me through my woes and gave me something that could be longterm. If you do choose to get your hair done at this salon, DO NOT LET TAMMY NEAR YOUR HAIR. Let me clarify by saying there are two Tammy's. The one I am referring to is the Caucasian Tammy with short bleached hair. She has the worst attitude and demeanor. She complained and scoffed the entire time she butchered my hair. I had to go to a different salon the next day and the stylist was in shock that she did such a terrible job. One side was a cm longer then the other, the back was longer then the front. She tore up the sides with the wrong kind of scissors. Seriously save yourself a miserable experience and see anyone else. read more

I frequent this studio at least once a month -- Hedi has taken much time and patience to create a good color for my hair -- The Aveda products are great for my hair and others have noticed and quite often ask where did I have my hair done. True, sometimes the shop can seem chaotic but most often it is because they are taking extra time to make sure a customer understands the color or cut that is about to be done. I have seen Hedi take extra time to make sure a customer is happy and if they leave unhappy she will gladly correct this issue - and usually free of charge. Hedi takes care in hiring stylists that will only enhance the reputation of the salon. Give it a try and if not happy, please talk to Hedi and go from there. read more

Worst service ever! Total disappointment! I recently went here to get my hair colored. It didn't turn out to be the color I wanted. But because i saw how hard my hair dresser worked on it, I was hesitant to express my unsatisfaction with the outcome. So I went home and tried to sit on it but it kept on bothering me. So I call back and ask if they can fix it. One of the other hair dressers, whom i believed be the owner, said she will try to fix it. I appreciated that knowing how busy her schedule was and willing to fit me in her schedule. I drove back there immediately. So, I go there and she treats me with a complete rudeness like i'm someone that's bothering her instead of being apologetic or being accommodating for getting my hair done with the color I didn't ask for. Total rudeness, acts like I'm annoying her, gives me major attitude as she colors my hair without her heart in it, lecturing me that i'm old fashioned, pulling my hair everywhere. She made me feel like a beggar. Never have i ever been treated this way. I didn't come here and paid what i paid to be treated like this. I felt very uncomfortable with the service but I held in. When my hair was done, she didn't even blow dry my hair and told me to leave because she is done and she doesn't have the time to blow dry my hair as she was barely able to fit me into her schedule. I left with water dripping all over my shoulder. It was a total embarrassment. I felt like i paid to be humiliated and insulted just for speaking my mind. I didn't come here for a free service. I paid and tipped generously for the color I wanted. It's unfortunate that the color didn't turn out to be what I had in mind. I shouldn't have been treated this way Instead of being apologetic and being accommodating she treats me like I'm a total annoyance. I was very disappointed and hurt. I came home and my hair is literally fried. It felt dry and stiff and my hair falling out everywhere. My hair was totally damaged. I don't think they use good quality hair color products here. I went home and sat on it. I hear people telling me I have two different hair colors. I almost wanted to dye my hair back to my original color. But I thought it was unfair that I wasted $130 plus $10 tip for getting hair colored to the color I didn't ask for, then getting treated the way I did when I went back, only so I want to dye my hair back to its original color myself. So I call and ask them if they can tone my hair. The lady who tried to fix my hair with total contempt calls me back and screams and screams at me lecturing that I'm old fashioned, I don't know what is 'in-style' now, and that it's too bad I don't like my hair color. She said if I come back she will just dye back to my original hair color. I told her if that's what she sees to be the solution, then that I will need my refund back. She says, "sorry but I will not give you a refund because everybody liked your hair. It's your problem you don't like it." And hung up the phone on me as I was speaking. Everybody liked it but it's my problem that i did not like it?? shouldnt it be weather everybody liked it or not, "i'm" the one that has to like it. Very unpleasant, very rude, very unprofessional. I asked during the phone conversation if i can speak to the hair dresser that originally worked on my hair, and the lady said that my hair dresser does not want to talk to me and did not put her on the phone. So this is what happened here.. I expressed my unsatisfaction with the outcome after years and years of being their loyal customer and having never made a single complaint prior to this and this is how they treat a loyal customer when I made one single complaint. I have never had a better cut and style. Every time I leave LL Hair I can go anywhere. I don't have to go home to fix it first! I went to LL for the first time upon recommendation from a friend. I had highlights done by Heddy, the owner. When I left, my hair was 100% bleached blonde and I looked horrible. I discussed thoroughly with her that I wanted a natural color for my highlights with no brass. I have streaks of gold. Was there for 3 hours as she kept answering the phone, booking other appointments, etc. I would not recommend this salon. read more

Extremely unfriendly and rude workers, quite indifferent to customers, and most importantly, very incompetent staff. Not only they messed up my hair for the second time, but they put hair color on my forehead and damaged my skin. Even, when I went back and let the owner and the the so called stylist know, they ignored me for 15 minutes until someone else tried to get rid of me with ugly face and found a piece of cotton ball with solution to apply on my forehead. I generally do not leave a bad review but this is the 3rd bad experience at LL salon (shame on me) but, I have limited time and its very close to my house. I am so upset. Went in for hair color and not only had to argue about what I wanted but the stylist ignored me, my highlights were orange and when I asked for toner the stylist became huffy and said "I don't have time for this" !! Then when I expressed my displeasure she told me "it's the lighting in the salon " she also neglected to put vaseline around my hairline and I have dark stains on my skin. The entire time she was doing my hair she complained about the salon and others in it; both employees and customers. In sum, Unprofessional, reluctant to please customers and misleading. Even when they bill themselves as an "Aveda salon" the products used are overwhelmingly not Aveda and the owner is motivated by only 1 thing== money. Stay away. When paying for my jacked-up color the owner says "how do you like it? I said "I don't " and she just walked away. No offer to make it right, no attempt to fix an unhappy customer. The first time I went here the young girl I saw was amazing! Then I needed it redone from regrowth so I call to make a last minute appointment cause I got a company dinner sprung on me. The girl I liked was booked so I went to someone who had time that day thinking it would be the same style of color. I was wrong. She was rude, told me that what I wanted wasnt what I needed, that getting it rehighlighted when I had an inch of regrowth wasnt possible. I told her I wanted it lighter and my base color done cause I had gray. She quickly threw on chunky highlights (which I hate) and then turned my base color so dark and threw this random dark piece on the very front of my hair. I look like Cruela Devill. Then when I asked her to tone it cause I didn't like yellow she told me I didn't need it! I used to do hair with the Aveda color line so I knew exactly what it needed. But after what I had seen I didn't want her doing anymore. Then she rips my hair out during a terrible hair cut. I just wanted to get out of there so I left wet. I went in there and scheduled an appointment with them to dye my hair an ombre honey blonde hair. I came back and the girl knowing how much hair I had started putting my hair in the foil (I have a lot of hair) so another one of her appointments comes and afraid of losing a customer she rushed through my hair and had me sit with the foil for like 10 to 15 minutes while she focused ALL of her attention on her other customer. So because of how long I waited under that big dryer thing a lot of my hair ended up coming out PLATINUM BLONDE instead of the honey that I had asked for AND the service I was paying for was 140 for a dye AND a cut......SHE DIDN'T EVEN CUT IT. she quickly rushed to my ends and KINDA cut them and blamed me for not having cut them in a while. I went home and immediately realized that I now had HORRIBLY damaged locks of hair and believe me I was expecting damage but my hair was FRIED she literally COOKED MY HAIR ,It took me months to fix my hair and with the help of a few friends that work in the industry my hair is now manageable but I have learned my lesson and I will NEVER walk back into this place again. read more
