Wow! Mind blown. I have been driving by Llandover Woods for years. I have literally lived a few minutes away for 5 years. I never knew it was here. Nestled just of the main drag is a unassuming little road that leads to this unassuming little green space. I say "little" but the trees and greenery make it feel anything but little. It's a great place for a hike! A few joggers will run by (no, I'm not jogging, nor would I even consider it), a few dog walkers, and birds will sing their songs of joy. It's a great place for me to stop after work just for 15-30 minutes or so to feel centered by being in such a serene place and taking a walk to clear my head. NOTE: I said "few" and that's accurate because evidently, I'm not the only one who didn't get the memo about this place. The parking lot is not huge, but more than adequate given the limited traffic here. Summer in Seattle is only made better by truly amazing green spaces. I'm lucky to live in a place that has big city comfort with natural charm.

I really enjoyed the stretch in this park. It has the true feeling of back to nature in the middle of everything, fresh air and wooded experience. After a long hard day at work, rather than running back to the hotel room I decided to stretch my legs, and give this park a go. It was worth it. I cleared my lungs, got my heart pumping, and made my day complete. However, when trying follow the map on yelp it directs you a couple miles in the opposite direction. Don't follow the directions on Yelp it's wrong. The correct location is: 250-398 NW 145th St Seattle, WA 98177 http://goo.gl/maps/sptYR

A couple things to consider as you are planning your trip to Kerry Park: 1) the park is located on a extremely steep hill (you can definitely walk to it, but you'll likely be exhausted walking all the way up to the top from lower Queen Anne), 2) if you are driving it may take some time to find parking as the park is tucked away in a neighborhood, and 3) Mount rainier is viewable from the park on a clear day, you'll want to stop by on a sunny and clear day if possible (the view is still beautiful if the weather is overcast, but it's even better if it's sunny and clear). When you arrive to Kerry Park you'll be greeted with a postcard perfect view of Seattle/the puget sound, and a relaxing atmosphere. It can get busy but spots will naturally open up where you can take photos. I'd recommend going close to sunset if you can time it. Btw, if you are a Grey's anatomy fan some of the house filmed at are tucked away in the Queen Anne neighborhood.
