The cocktail menu is interesting and full of lots of delicious options. My cocktail was made to perfection and our service was on point. We came in late one night so there was plenty of seating, but typically it's reservation only, so be sure and make a Resy if you want to make sure you can get in. Tijuana is full of hidden gems like this and Nortico is a welcome addition. Get off Revolution and check this spot out!

She…read moretaught me about all the different spirits that Mexico manufactures (other than the well known spirits of Tequila and Mezcal) and knew how to showcase the unique spirits of Mexico with cocktails that really leverage these spirits. She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

It didn't feel too loud since we could still talk and hear everyone. The food was good. The drinks were good. Unfortunately, the service timing was a disappointment. After placing our order, we waited nearly an hour for our food. It took so long that we ended up being late for the concert. For a busy Friday night with events happening, I don't think the restaurant was prepared for the crowd. As for the food, it was actually pretty good overall. The burgers were large and satisfying. Both the Shroom Burger and Smoked Brisket Burger were tasty. The Mac n cheese was also good. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were great; they were crispy and even better with the extra Parmesan I requested. The Nachos with added brisket were a bit of a letdown. The brisket was on the dry side, and there wasn't nearly enough nacho cheese for such a large plate. If you're not in a rush, the food is solid. But if you're trying to make a show or concert afterward, I'd give yourself a lot more time than you think you'll need. I heard they're usually pretty quick, so maybe it was just an off night.

Always a 5 Star experience when gathering for drinks here…read more Over the years, the names have changed for the provider of Polite Provision's delicious orderable food to go along with their polite provisions. Items such as scrupulously prepared meatballs, fried polenta, spaghetti with mushroom sauce, etc., from the prior next-door, connected purveyor "Soda and Swine"...but those days are done ...I digress. And where is Soda and Swine's Yelp page? I know I did a review, but now the page appears gone completely in search? Nah, it's just hidden, presumably to accommodate Fortunate Sons, which opened about a year ago after re-construction of both establishments. I'm too lazy to see if still owned by Consortium Group. I did search my reviews and found my updated Soda & Swine review dated 8 & 10 years ago. O_o !! Now, food is still served, however, there's a new name in town called "Fortunate Son" (next door, connected). Apparently, food now served is Asian-inspired. I've not visited recently to taste. The North Park area is a great neighborhood with many different types of food close by. While you're there, don't forget to stop by "An's Dry Cleaners", where the most inventive gelato's, ice creams and sorbets come from.

We were a party of 11 and we got a big booth so all of us could fit. I ordered a bowl of chili and had an Alpine Duet IPA. Im not normally an IPA drinker but this one I liked, it wasnt too bitter and I dare say I liked this IPA! Chili was great and hit the spot, was hearty and well seasoned, just what my body wanted. Ambiance was cozy and gave you a small mountain feel. Service was on point and no issues. Id definitely come back when in Alpine again, was a fun experience!

My bro seemed to have really enjoyed his meal too. Ryan was our server and did a wonderful job. He even put the Padres game on for us!! Perfect.... We had a really good time.
