Our garage door opener latch arm broke off a few days ago and our torsion spring gave out a couple of months ago. Called Local Garage Door and the two people I talked to was very helpful (Samantha) and ( Ashley) were their names. I'm thinking there's one more named Elizabeth or Lizabeth, but I don't remember.They were very helpful with working out and adjusting the time and schedule. Randall was the technician who came by and he was very friendly and had great suggestions to what needed to be done. He recommended to buy a whole new set of panels, because the old garage panels were not looking too good. The day he came to install the garage, he wasted no time and got to work. He also put the extra time and effort to fix other existing parts that was already there. My wife and I are very satisfied with the work he put in. The process was in timely manner and professional. The Large spring essential to garage doors opening and closing, with or without a motor opener, broke late Thursday one afternoon. I called the Local Garage Doors listing that evening, the person who answered assured me someone would be out that following day, Friday. The technician assigned (Ian Hundley) would text me with approximate time of arrival as well as his location for tracking. Indeed, I was impressed with the notice and tracking feature. Looking at my problem, he made a phone call and provided an estimate and contract. The job actually took him a little longer than he expected, but non the less got it done, checked and secured the necessary operational parts and pieces, adjusting the motor drive etc. Ian was friendly, courteous, and professional. I used these guys because i I had a coupon from the mail. I honestly wasn't having the best of weeks at my house, also needing to replace my water heater! I scheduled with the office for them to come out and on the day they were scheduled they notified me when they were on their way to my house. As they travelled closer to my house, I received a picture of my technician and estimated arrival time. When he got to my house, he came in evaluated what the problem was told me what I needed to do so he had ample work space and we scheduled a repair date. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told they could be on site the next day. Tyler stayed in touch as to his expected arrival. He arrived about 20 minutes late but that was acceptable considering the distance he had to travel. He immediately went to work on the issue and it took only a few minutes to correct because it was a programming issue with a remote. The big spring at the top of the door was broken. And the cables that open the door were frayed. They showed me all the problems and I decided to replace everything. They had all the parts on their truck and repaired it quickly. It was a fair price and I got a seniors discount. The door has never been quieter in the 32 years we have lived here. 5 stars... On Saturday evening, June 7, 2025, the main spring on my garage door broke where the garage door was stuck, and I could not pull my car out of the garage..... I figured that I would call a door company on Monday. When I searched for door company on Sunday morning, I discovered Local Garage Doors was open on Sunday. We were in a pinch. Our Spring broke on our garage with both of our cars inside. I called the emergency line on a Sunday morning hoping to have someone come out however I understand it was Sunday. Ian has completed 2 jobs for us. First, we needed to change the code on our Overhead door keypad. He was on time as communicated. He explained the process and also explained the complications of our old unit. He was able to program our 2 car remotes at no charge. We then hired Ian to install a new outside keypad with the understanding if it did not pair with our old system, we would be able to not have to purchase that unit.
