I had a desire for a nightcap but no desire to make a significant detour. I recall there was a bar on the way home. The bar was full except for a few seats, but there did not seem that many cars on their lot. I got a menu as soon as I sat myself. Although the two bartenders walked by me several times, I had to wait some time before my order was taken. My intent was to get hard liquor for a nightcap but had to settle for craft beer. I chose the #29 - Huyghe Delirium Noël / Christmas. At $10.50 for a 12oz, it may be the most expensive specialty beer on their menu. It's been a year since we first walked into Local Pint and still remains our most favorite place to go. Beer - the selection a outstanding and ever changing. If my selection is out they always steer me in the right direction. Staff go out of there way to make sure your happy. Food - Phenomenal. Don't let the bar atmosphere fool you. This is well above average pub fare. The Chef is truly a gift to Flower Mound from burgers, charcuterie boards, hand rolled pastas, expertly paired beer dinners, to desserts. Staff - LOVE the staff. They really make the place feel like it's "your place". The owners, servers/bartenders, kitchen staff, and Chef are all clearly passionate about what they do and it shows. Atmosphere - this place has a great vibe and it's clean. I love they post when the beer lines were last cleaned. I have never known a place to close down on a business day to clean it top to bottom. The bathrooms are spotless and smell great. It might sound funny to review a bathroom, but I don't use public bathrooms except here. The best part is the comraderie. We've become friends with the other regulars and it's not uncommon to see us (and others) offer up seats at our table or change tables to allow others a place to sit on those super busy nights. Found this spot while shopping in the area, it was not what we were expecting, but we were very happy! It's very small but lively, clean, and welcoming. The service was incredible. Friendly staff, all of the staff kept checking on us and making sure we were ok, had enough, etc. The beer selection was AMAZING. We came from Bend, OR, which is brewing capital, and miss these types of tap houses and absolutely love this one. I especially loved the number of hefeweizens they had on tap, which is normally hard to find. We ordered the hummus plate, which was incredible, and the cheese curds were very good. The lemon pepper wings were ok, but most of the seasoning was in the bottom of the basket and not the wings, I probably wouldn't order them again, but I will absolutely be back for the hummus and beer. This place is great! I love that they offer flights, so you can sample a few of their incredible options or try a new style of beer without committing to a full pint. Once you find your favorite, they do offer Crowlers and Growlers to go. The staff is attentive and helpful. If I lived in the neighborhood, this would definitely be one of my go-to spots.
