Stopped in with friends on a Saturday night. Immediately loved the indoor patio. It was so hot and nasty out but the indoor patio was cool and almost empty. It was perfect!!! Got queso and flautas for app. Everyone loved it and wished the flautas were actually on the menu. Drinks- all deeeeee-lish !! Frozen mango marg, regular marg, Chardonnay and an old fashion. Then later turned to a Smokey fashion and espresso martini. We stopped there, but definitely should not have!! Entrees- we got the fish n chips, surf n turf enchiladas and pork chop schnitzel. All was amazing but the schnitzel was FANTASTIC!!!!! Dessert- we are fat a$$es and got all 3. Creme brûlée is my go-to any time it is on the menu. They had a mango, passion fruit one. Meh- would never get it again but lesson learned. Chocolate mousse- very rich. Friends loved it. Not my jam, ever so no stars taken away. However, the churro bread pudding was absolutely TO DIE FOR!!! Everyone wolfed it down. I would have punched a friend or 2 out to get the last bite but I was already stuffed and I was still snuggling with an espresso martini. Learned of the many upcoming events coming up and I can't wait to try them out as well. A bit pricy place but you know that going in and I rather pay more for great food and service! A GREAT FIND!!! As soon as I took a seat at the bar, one of the two bartenders handed me the drink and food menus. The number of taps could have been overwhelming. Fortunately, the daily feature menu provided drink suggestions. When decision making had reached its weekly limit, the Kobe & Crab Smash Burger was ideal. I'm from out of town and was visiting a friend in Flower Mound this week. We came here twice as my local friend swears by Verf's. I was very pleased with the blackberry smash cocktails and all the food I had. But I was really floored by the service we received from our bartender, Grace. She's an absolute superstar! Hopefully the management at Verf's has recognized this. She remembered our visit from days before and even named the exact cocktails we had to help jog our memory. Absolutely OUTSTANDING service. Ambiance is definitely a tavern feel. Food was a little pricey. I ended getting the house salad and a cup of the chicken tortilla soup. Both were delicious. Happy hour was all night, so I ordered a $5 Lemon drop martini which had the perfect mix of sweet and tart. If I return it will be during happy hour or lunch for sure to get the best deal. The hubby and I hadn't been here in quite a while. We popped in for dinner and the place looks great. A neighborhood, upscale barg and grill with surprisingly tasty offerings and attentive staff. We started with the crab stuffed jalapenos and some dirty vodka martinis. They do know how to make a good 'tini. The crab stuffed japs were huge, bacon wrapped and crispy. An order of 3 and we barely finished our single. The sauce they came in was delicious and a teensy bit spicy with plenty of fresh cilantor and corn and black beans. Worthy to share. We weren't too hungry so we shared the fried seafood appetizer. Hand cut calamari, very tender. Hand breaded onion rings, oysters and jumbo shrimp that comes with a white dipping sauce. We also got sides of cocktail sauce and marinara. All sauces were homemade and tasty. We had a side of fries with that. - crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside. I did save room to try a dessert from their extensive list. Dragonfruit mango creme brulee. We sent the dessert back to get a more crispy crunch on the top but that didn't work out and there were chunks of mango that I didn't care for. Creme brulee is my favorite dessert and part of that fun is the crunchy, crispy top. Still, we had a great time. The place is fun, small enough to feel cozy but large enough to have a happy hour meetup with friends. The menu is creative and the staff obviously care about the details. We'll definitely be back! Discovered this place while I was waiting for my car to be detailed nearby after learning that this restaurant has a breakfast buffet! We were seated quickly in the enclosed patio where the buffet was set up. There were a good amount of food options as well as a carving, taco, and omelette station. I tried quite a few things and it was all good for buffet-style food. Staff was friendly and were constantly monitoring the food trays to get replenishment as needed. Overall, it was a solid meal and while I don't live local to this area I would come back if I find myself nearby in need of a big breakfast. read more

UPDATE: I will say that this chain of restaurants has the best customer service bar none. The owner quickly reached out and made a very kind attempt at rectifying the issue. While I still really wish they would change that breakfast sausage (every one in our family said it does taste like Italian dinner sausage) we still really love all of the restaurants in this group and appreciate their stellar customer service. read more

Verfs is soooo good!! The Bombay shrimp and the crab cakes are my personal faves and just so so delicious. My husband loves the pot roast. We've never had a bad time here nor bad service. My wife and I sat at the bar and had great service. I splurged on some high end bourbon. Our bartender was great, she suggested the pork chop schnitzel which was fantastic, amazingly tender for a 1 inch pork chop. My wife went out on her own and ordered the Brie Tenderloin Sliders.. I'm talking about how great mine was and asked about hers and she said HORRIBLE. I was like, it can't be that bad and I tried a bite. Horrible wasn't a strong enough word. Disgusting was probably better. It might have helped if they were warm but I have never had any kind of burger that tough to the point you almost couldn't chew it. It had zero flavor and the bread that was supposed to be "toasted" wasn't and was wet and soggy.... So go to Verf's but DO NOT GET THE SLIDERS! I have been eating at this establishment ever since it opened. Yesterday/Father's day, my with and i went in to eat dinner. Both ordered the OG burger. Here is my beef if you pardon the pun. Why do you ask how you want your burger cooked, if you're going to cook it the way you want. I ordered mine med, that should be a warm pink Center. My wife ordered med well. They both came out completely cooked well done. I should the waiter and nothing was done about it. No, comp on our appetizer or half off on my burger! Nothing at all! Service was great. Food was good- not great. We went on a Sunday afternoon and had no problem getting seated. Food was pricy for what we actually received. I had the whisky tenderloin, rare to medium rare, and while the flavor was good, the meat was incredibly tough. The biscuits and gravy were also good, not great. The sausage was good, but overcooked. A friend offered to take me to dinner wherever I wanted as a thank you for helping him with some business strategy. Not wanting to head all the way into Dallas, I opted for Verf's, which I knew would be a reliable pick closer to home. Although it was Mardi Gras when we went, we got a quiet booth in a back corner behind the bar area and were able to enjoy a long conversation over a great meal. I ordered the Verf's chicken, which is garnished with hatch chilies, roasted corn and black beans. It comes with garlic mashed potatoes (my favorite carb) and asparagus. My friend had the ribeye, which comes with the same sides, and said the steak was cooked perfectly. We also split dessert--crème brûlée with blueberries, which was plenty large for two people. As I'd hoped, my friend was very impressed with the restaurant and said it was a great choice. I'll have to come up with some more clever business ideas so we can make a return visit. read more

Pretty good overall. My only complaint is how thin the crab cakes were. They seemed more like crab patties rather than a crab cake. The jerk chicken was great although it has more of a curry jerk flavoring if that's what you're looking for. read more
