    Chicken Marsala
    Ron H.

Quick walk from Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower memorial. My Fiance and I stopped by after looking at other locations via Yelp. Small little restaurant with a warm and welcoming astomphere. I ordered the Chicken Marsala after some internal bickering with myself on either that or the Thanksgiving dinner, or maybe it was just called a Turkey Dinner. Service was friendly and attentive.

We went on a rainy Sunday for brunch and watched the first half of the Patriot's game. They have free parking available for customers so that's a plus. Place is busy and there's a constant flow of customers arriving. I went with the Portuguese hash with hollandaise sauce on the side for my poached eggs. Eggs were perfect! They also have very good coffee. Crystal provided us with great and friendly service.

Dillon's Local. . Refreshingly clean, friendly pub. Minds blown. Souls happy.

This place is such a find. A+++ high-end versions of pub favorites and classic dinners. The service was phenomenal. The drinks and recommendations were perfect. The food was AMAZING. I wish we had one by us in NY. Definite female presence in management, service and product. We loved all of it. Shepherd's pie croquettes (oh, yes), chicken wings, chicken piccata w/risotto (drool) and a delicious turkey dinner. 5 stars isn't enough. Our daughter attends college nearby and we WILL be back

There's something about this bar that feels very home-y from the second that you walk in. It's a very "cozy" restaurant but everytime I go there it is always filled with people and I understand why. The staff is very friendly and thankfully when we arrived we were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She kept checking on us and made sure that we had everything. The food arrived shortly after we ordered it and it was very flavorful. It was brunch time and we were hungry! The price to flavor/quantity ratio is pretty good! Fyi - for anyone driving there, there is parking in front of it but it definitely will fill up quickly if it's a busy time

The food lasted about five seconds - no time for pics. You're welcome.

Five Stars for Dillon's Local, a.k.a. The Grilled Cheese Holy Land We stumbled into Dillon's Local on a misty New England evening like weary travelers seeking shelter, and left full, happy, and borderline evangelical about grilled cheese. First off--ambience? Impeccable. Like if an old-timey pub got a makeover from a cool cousin who just got back from a food truck tour of Portland. Cozy, warm, slightly nautical, and very much the kind of place where you expect to hear a sea shanty or two--but instead you get modern cuisine that slaps. Our waitress? Sweet as maple syrup and just as essential to the experience. Attentive, friendly, and the kind of person who makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. The food? Let's just say: my fish and chips were perfection--crispy, flaky, and clearly made with some kind of mystical cod magic. My wife had a salad that she actually liked (this is a big deal--she usually eats salad like she's fulfilling a community service sentence). But the grilled cheese--my god. My kids split it, but I stole a bite and was instantly humbled. I've eaten my share of grilled cheeses in this life. Some great. Some sad. Some barely worthy of the Kraft name. But this? This was a grilled cheese so good it made me question my life choices. Crunchy, buttery, melty--possibly made by a wizard. Bottom line: I would absolutely go back. Dillon's Local, you have won my heart, my stomach, and possibly partial custody of my soul.

    Bourbon Steak Tips

Strolling through town and going into this place, boy did I hit gold. Great ambiance with an Irish band playing some authentic folk music. It was a tough decision to decide what to order because everything sounded delicious and everyone around me talked highly about every dish. I decided on the steak tips and they did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly and tasty. I have to add how friendly the patrons were to an out-of-towner, very friendly and hospitality.

4 1/2 stars actually. Nice locals place buy not unwelcoming at all. Busy at lunch of course. Really good Reuben and my wife loved her fish tacos. No offer of a refill on an ice tea that she walked by seeing it empty 4-5 times. I'm going to just drink water rather than paying for 4 ounces of tea over ice - sheesh

Garden salad-refreshing (not a fan of the croutons though-they were stale)

Yelp searched for local places open today and this place came up so we decided to try it out. So glad we did. By far the best kale soup I have ever had (and my Mother-in-Law was an amazing Portuguese cook). The onion soup was loaded with onions, cheese, and a beautiful bread. Fabulous!! Skip the pretzels they were meh.

5-5-5 on food, service, ambiance. +Food is very good, beyond the usual pub fare. We had shepherd's pie, chop chop bowl (adobo chicken with lettuce and Spanish rice), and delicious bourbon pecan bread pudding. +Service was excellent - I ordered an Irish coffee. Normally they ask if I want Baileys but the waitress forgot, then she remembered and came back to the table. Which she didn't have to do. It's a level of caring attention to details. +Ambiance is perfect (to me). Bartender greeted us with a smile and a wave to "take any table." TVs on but volume off. Good music creating a fun vibe but at low enough volume you can actually have a conversation. So many restaurants get this wrong. Lighting is soft creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Have eaten here many times - usually lunch on a weekday - and it seems like people converse in normal voices - I swear it has to do with the atmosphere. And it definitely feels like a very "local" place, not touristy. Hard to pull off in the heart of Plymouth. Highly recommend

Came here for brunch on the Sunday before St. Paddy's, right before the crowds started. Parking was easy there's a small lot and street parking. Had the lamb stew and an Irish coffee, and my friend had the breakfast burrito. While the stew tasted pretty good, I wish there had been more meat and chunks of veggies and potatoes - it literally looked like brown gloop that had been pureed - stew should have some dimension. The Irish coffee was great and my friend liked her burrito. Service was friendly, a bit slow at times, and the ambiance is cozy what you'd expect from a typical Irish pub. I'd return for drinks at some point.

Found a table indoors (outdoor seating available as well) with ample room for all five of us including dolls, cards, and toys. Funari, Kiley and Sherman frequently got together on weekends to embrace their love of homebrewing. After doing this for a number of years, and building up a local following distributing their home-brews from a blue cooler, they decided to open a brick & mortar brewery and taproom. At this time, DiBona came on board as a partner and assisted with the search for a location. After exausting all options in the seaside town of Hull, the partners acquired a 3,000-sq-ft space in the "craft beer friendly" town of Weymouth. The name "Vitamin Sea" was chosen to reflect Funari's love of surfing and surf culture. The brewery quickly gained a reputation for their juicy New England IPAs, decadent Stouts, and experimental Fruited Sours. A second location opened along the waterfront in Plymouth in May 2024. I recently visited Vitamin Sea's Plymouth location while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers at a different brewery later. I soon realized that Plymouth has an excellent craft beer scene and decided to head to Vitamin Sea first. The Plymouth facility is a beautiful location along the waterfront. I really liked the nautical/surf design theme too! I grabbed a seat at the bar and began to look over the menu. I heard that the Plymouth location is known for their excellent ciabatta sandwiches, so I ordered the "Parm to Table" (oven-roasted chicken cutlet, house-made marinara, melted mild & aged provolone, Parmesan, whipped lemon ricotta, basil on toasted ciabatta). It was the BEST chicken cutlet sandwich I've ever had in my life! What made it stand apart from other sandwiches? The whipped lemon ricotta! I washed it down with a pour of "Currency Check" (Double New England IPA), followed by "Mexican Blanket" (Imperial Stout). The beer, like the food, was fantastic! I must also point out that the staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful throughout my visit. I highly recommend Vitamin Sea Brewing and look forward to visiting their Weymouth location!

Artisian Hearth Gourmet Brioche Rolls: A bun can make or break the perfect burger or sandwich…read more Artisian Hearth's gourmet brioche rolls are baked at state-of-the-art, quality-controlled bakeries in St. Cloud, MN., Sun Prairie, WI., and Fargo, ND. Before I jump into how they taste, I want to address what a brioche bun or roll actually is. A brioche bun is a rich, slightly sweet, and soft French-style bread. It's made using dough that incorporates butter, milk, and eggs. Those ingredients contribute to the roll's signature golden color, fluffy texture, and buttery flavor. The brioche's high fat (although this product has just 1.5g) and egg content creates a moist and absorbent bun that's perfect for burgers and sandwiches. Artisian Hearth's product tastes like a quintessential brioche roll to me. All of the above qualities seem to be checked off. I absolutely love the thick, fluffy, and pleasantly chewy texture. It doesn't hurt that they are also visually appealing with their golden color. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

I should note that the bagels looked good, and we didn't try those, so that might have tipped the scales more in their favor. Again, nothing was bad. Better than supermarket bakeries for sure-- just not on the level of the better bakeries in Boston.
