Brisket patty, neither thick nor thin, with a soft grind, cooked showing pink (I asked for medium rare if possible). Bacon-onion-jalapeño jam with some zip and bacon saltiness and bendy texture. Caramelized onions with a hint of sweetness. Partly-melted American cheese. Griddled marble rye with unnoticeable butter. Not perfection, but an enjoyable mix of flavors and textures. -- Fries (with the patty melt): Thin, crunchy shoestrings, aggressively salted, in assorted lengths. -- Quinoa Bowl: Bright flavors, good textures, per my wife. -- Ginger Soda: Made in house, string Ginger flavors, not too much sugar. This place is such a cute small place and the food is even better! Don't skip those hole in the wall restaurants man. I forgot my server's name but she was the sweetest lady ever and knew the menu like the back of her hand. she suggested shareable platters to my coworker and I and we're so glad we listened. Everything was sooo freaking TASTY! now i understand how the restaurant got it's name! After each bite from a dish we literally closed our eyes to savor taste. You just have to try it! At most 2 stars for the service--which really detracted from the overall experience of dining here. We arrived for a late lunch, and were aware that we were walking in about 20 minutes before they closed. The gentleman working was engaged with a couple seated at the bar. As we walked in, the first comment we got wasn't welcoming us, it was to ask if we knew that the restaurant closed in 18 minutes. Yes, we were aware. We took seats and waited to order. While we waited to order, the server behind the bar proceeded to loudly discuss why he felt the need to establish a boundary. The restaurant was still open with advertised hours at the time, and there was no "last seating" time listed. He then proceeded to apologize to another employee for seating us, said that he was going to be late to his next job shift because of us. While I don't like feeling overly waited on, it certainly felt like stopping here for lunch was an imposition and we were not wanted. If you can move beyond the reception that we received from the serving staff, the food was good, but not exceptional. There are so many different options for food in Plymouth that I can't see us returning here on a future trip. read more

I literally just noticed this restaurant walking by and I just like the name The Tasty. We walked in greeted and a very friendly manner by the nice server named Adam. We order some really good Asian inspired dishes, duck dumplings, pork, braised, beef, brussels sprouts, and tuna tart. OMG!! These are amazing flavors. Quite brilliant and compliments to a chef who know their flavors! I highly recommend coming here. Stopped in today for lunch as I wanted to try something new, the bartender was our server and she was very pleasant and seated us right away. The interior is small and comfortable with a more trendy bar feel. I ordered the patty melt and a beer on tap and my wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a glass of wine. Our meals had really fresh salads that were excellent and we also had a side bowel of fries that were very crispy any tasted great. My patty melt was also incredibly delicious along with my wife's grilled chicken sandwich. After we finished we had a giant homemade piece of carrot cake and an americano coffee, again they were both excellent. Well the food is good. That's the good. We have eaten there two times in last month, the first trip we ordered a simple app. Meals came before apps. We asked what happened, server said "we place a whole bunch of orders at once and kitchen was overwhelmed. Really? Second time my wife ordered grits with her meal. Along came the meal and no grits. We asked server can we get the grits? Server said I never put order in. She brought grits after we completed meal and did not take it off the bill. She blamed it on a hard to use computer. This place needs new help or management or training. Don't care home good the food and custom the drinks are, if service does not improve We will eat elsewhere. Our party of four had dinner at The Tasty in Plymouth on Noodle Night last evening and everything was great. We shared the Buffalo Cauliflower Toppokki and Bang Bang Chicken as apps followed by three orders of Spicy Dan Dan Noodles with pork and vegetables and one of Salmon BiBimBap, all delicious. We finished with a piece of Ooma's spectacular Carrot Cake for dessert. Solid wine list (we had the unoaked Morgan Chard) and varied beer choices. This was a great meal that I had by mistake. I was in town to attend a concert at the Spire Center on Court Street, and was looking for a place to have a light dinner. The Tasty, one block away, had a large " OPEN " sign, so I looked at the menu in the window. Here is where I made my mistake. I looked at the lunch menu with sandwiches, and saw a nice variety, so I went in and got seated. The menu, however, was unexpectedly a dinner menu with Starters and Entrees but no sandwiches. Oh well, I ordered the Salmon from a dinner menu with about a dozen entree choices. What I got was delicious! Pan seated Salmon over wilted greens and herbed farro. Simple, but wonderfully prepared. One of the best restaurant meals I have had in a long time. I am giving The Tasty only four stars, because of the limited dinner menu. I do not eat meat, so if the Salmon entrée had not been in the menu, I would have had very little choice for dinner. And, frankly, the size and cost of te meal was more than I was looking on that evening. Again my mistake for thinking that the lunch menu would be available in the evening. But, if you see something on the menu that looks good, go for it. It will probably be wonderful. read more

But this place delivers every time. The kitchen is always creating fresh, thoughtful dishes, the cocktails are both creative and perfectly prepared, and the desserts are truly the best I've ever had. Whenever I bring guests who live in major food cities, they're always amazed that Plymouth has a spot of this caliber. The service deserves equal praise. The entire staff is warm and attentive. Adam always remembers our preferences and makes excellent pairing suggestions. Kaylia is not only friendly and thoughtful but also crafts outstanding cocktails. This was our second time eating at The Tasty and both experiences were excellent. 2 of us called earlier in the day and were pleased there was a 5:00 opening that evening. FOOD: Outstanding. We got the Nori fries as an app and will be sure to do that again! The fries had excellent flavor and the portion size was huge. Seemed like a bottomless bowl! Plenty for 2 or even up to 4 to share. The cod fritters were tasty. I had the noodles and was pleased how flavorful everything was. The chicken was thinly sliced and moist, as were all the veggies. We will likely come back on their "noodle night" to try out some other noodle dishes. The scallops and muscles were well cooked, although there was unique spicing which we were not sure we liked. It came with some toasted bread to soak up the broth. A personal preference would to have it served over a light pasta rather than the bread but we understood what the chef was going for. SERVICE: Lisa is a personable and attentive server with a wonderful sense of humor. She knew everything about each item on the menu and took great care of us throughout our meal. BAR: Chardonnay was $12 a glass and an average pour. There are many options, including cocktails, although I did not try any. ATMOSPHERE: Warm and inviting. There are not a lot of tables inside, and due to COVID they are not operating at full capacity, so I'd recommend calling ahead. Soon the weather will be warm enough to eat outside. There is a section in front near the sectioned-off sidewalk which will add to the seating options. Even when we ate inside, our table had a wonderful view of a bit of the ocean down the street. We had Maria C. as our waitress last night and she was very welcoming and friendly. We had the Duck dumplings, Salad, Veggie Tart and Chicken wings, all amazing! Loved that items were seasonal menu and that they were sourced from local farms! Highly recommend and will be back again when we visit from Chicago! However, I ( and many others that I talk with) will never go to a restaurant that charges a 3% kitchen appreciation fee. It is not up to customers to supplement the wages of your kitchen staff. Customers should tip servers only. It is your responsibility to pay you non serving staff appropriate wages. read more

What a find - Tasty! The CHEF IS INCREDABLE! We sat at the bar and watched the drinks being made...interesting, intriguing, and all that had them seemed raved about them. We will go back when I am not hauling a boat to the Cape. We were on a Tuesday night and the Chef has a special noodle menu that night. We had the Singapore Street noodles that were to die for. Everything fresh and cooked perfectly. BEST DINNER in a long time. We also shared the Scallop Bacon Spring rolls -they are to die for. My mouth is still watering for the crispy fried exterior and tasty seafood interior. We loved the lemonade - tasted fresh and handmade. A little surprised when the price was over what was on the menu - but only by a dollar so......why four stars and not five. The bartender (PM B) just didn't seem happy to be there. When we asked questions about the drinks or food, she either ignored us or spat out an answer that was indiscernible. Came here on Tuesday night for dinner and found out it's a noodle night. However, we wanted to try the nori fries as it was recommended by my colleague. We were glad that the waitress was willing to make a special order for us to try it. The fries were very flavorful and crispy, totally different from any regular fries we ever had! I was on my way to another restaurant and saw a waitress coming out from The Tasty and immediately changed my plans because the food looked so good. Generally, they require reservations but were gracious to make room and I couldn't be more grateful. I've had several Michelin Star meals, and The Tasty is on par with every Michelin meal I've ever had. It's very hard to write this review because I don't think there's anything I could say that would adequately convey the excellence and wonder of their food. Every single bite of what I ordered was pure bliss. The Tasty doesn't just offer a stunning atmosphere and incredible food, but a rare experience where you're completely present in the moment because the quality of the food and brilliance of the flavor combinations demand your full attention. I wish I lived closer to Plymouth because this is one of my favorite restaurants I've ever tried. I tried many restaurants in the Plymouth area, and I didn't encounter any that come close to competing with The Tasty. A month later, I'm still thinking about this meal. They have a variety of different cuisine offerings and they use fresh ingredients (local whenever possible!). The old world meets the new world at The Tasty! One general guideline that usually remains with my husband and I is that I pick the place and he pays...it's not always the case but in the majority of situations this is true. I wanted to visit "the rock"...Plymouth Rock that is...so we stopped for a glimpse, snapped a couple pics, and picked up a piece of the rock at the gift shop. All of this made us hungry. A park representative asked if we had any questions and I asked about my Yelp bookmarked places. His comment about "The Tasty"..."They have a good sign". This was the theme of the week from Brooklyn to Boston! "The Tasty" won on a good sign. And any sign with the word tequila in it is my kind of place. The Tasty did not disappoint! I ordered the Malibu Barbie cocktail and must say it's the best I've had besides the Apparition Room in Temecula, CA. Then came the food. Homemade chips and jalapeño dip. We shared the blackberry glazed wings and the buffalo chicken ramen. Both unique and delicious. This was my favorite dining since traveling for the last several weeks.
