I am traveling and I found this place on Yelp. I was greeted with a warm welcome to a very clean and neat atmosphere. My servers name was Bryson, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and even gave me a quick backstory on how this family restaurant came to exist. I had already ordered the fried chicken when we got the poutine- Had I known the fried chicken would have gravy poured all over it I would've changed my order. The collard greens were so salty they were in edible - I mentioned this to our server and she didn't offer anything to make it right, and acted like she didn't care. We also never got drink refills. Getting Fresh seafood is SO difficult if your not by the coast. I was in town visiting, and used YELP to find a place close to my hotel with good reviews. Overall, the food was good. The menu states the sandwich includes bacon and there was no bacon. The white bread it was served on was soaked with butter. I love butter but didn't order a grilled cheese sandwich without tuna and bacon. The tuna was cooked properly but was an extremely thin and bland. The butter and fontina cheese over powdered the sandwich and it was greasy. I got a house salad as the side and it was very fresh and tasty. I was with a group of coworkers and went at 2:00 in the afternoon the server wasn't the friendliest. The food came out slowly. I was considering giving a 2 star rating but changed my mind based on how much my coworkers liked their meal. They have a nice patio that would be great in spring and summer. We had a great dinner here last night with just some minor hiccups that were quickly resolved. We were seated and brought water quickly. Other tables on all sides of us seated after started being served, not a big deal just a miscommunication that was quickly resolved. Appetizer came with food, again not a huge inconvenience just unique. It worked out because shrimp & grits came with peppers that I asked not to include so the quickly remade the dish. Super small mistakes but the food was amazing...poutine was a great app and the fried chicken was no knife needed deliciousness. We will be back to try other menu items. read more

We had three dishes that were inspired by their fabulous chef from New Orleans --BBQ Shrimp and Grits---truly a perfect dish containing the best grits I have eaten in my entire life which were surrounded by a sultry and tantalizing red sauce topped with perfectly seasoned and cooked shrimp. A home run of a dish and a definite 10. My son and I split a Shrimp Po Boy and a Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were impeccably prepared and served hot from the kitchen. The chicken sandwich had a slaw on it that possessed the right amount of heat and crunch to partner with a perfectly cooked piece of battered chicken breast, all served on a soft and freshly baked brioche bun....Add an aioli conjured from heaven that is served on the side, and be prepared to enjoy something so delicious you will be planning your next visit before your last bite. Eating this meal was a culinary experience of sheer joy. Everyone who works there has great energy and you feel as if you've come home after being away for a long time. Such a welcoming place . Every single time I go here, service and food are above and beyond! I was starving and very appreciative that our food came out quick. My daughter ordered the kids steak and fries. The steak was delicious! I had to keep stealing bites. It was cooked perfectly and so juicy and flavorful. So impressed that this is a kids meal. My husband got the bbq shrimp and grits. I swear, I looked away for two seconds and he had finished the whole thing off. He probably would have licked the plate if other people wouldn't have been around . I got the Cajun alfredo and it was amazing! Fresh pasta and not too spicy! Also got the bbq shrimp and Ceasar salad for an appetizer. Ok I didn't expect a full bar or the amount of options for food! It was pretty legit. The best part was the customer service everyone and I do mean everyone like 3 bartenders and our waiter were saying Merry Christmas and thanked us for coming. Very warm atmosphere. The only reason I'm taking a star off was for the prices, burger entrees are pretty fair, the appetizers though pretty over priced same price as getting a meal. My husband ordered their chicken pasta and it was ok, the amount was small. I would suggest if you're hungry then go ahead a get the appetizer too. The beer available was great!
