    Cajun chicken Alfredo

It's great to see food this good in this location. It's not New Orleans by any means, but I got my fix of good cajun/creole food here. I found everything to be rich and flavorful. I loved the mahi-mahi, the etouffee, and the low country shrimp & grits in particular. The BBQ shrimp & grits were a little too sweet for my liking. The place seemed popular and had a short wait, but it seemed well organized, and food came out at a normal pace.

Disappointing, except for waiter Bob. Ordered a margarita, a beer and 2 Bistro burgers. Margarita was a typical Utah one, 1 and 1/2 oz of tequila and my beer was a large format something or another and it was ok (I'm not a beer aficionado but it was not bad). Both burgers were wayyyy overcooked and dry. I had ordered mine with their upsale truffle fries and they were terrible...all of them floppy and unappetizing with a ramekin of what might have been fry sauce but it was white-ish/mayo stuff. My gf only ate 1/2 of hers and I ate all of mine because I was hungry. I called over waiter Bob and showed him the floppy fries and my, at that time, 1/2 eaten dry, overcooked burger. He was very apologetic and asked, several times, if they could remake our burgers which I declined. Bob also asked what he could do to make it right and I said, "thanks but nothing is necessary" as I wasn't looking for any type of compensation or a freebe (not my style). I proceeded to ask for the check and waiter Bob mentioned 1 of the burgers was taken off the check (again, I had not asked). I left a 20% tip for the amount the check should have been rather than the actual amount I was charged because the service as well as Bob's customer service was above and beyond however the meal was disappointing.

Nice spot for southern comfort food. Vibe is laid back, and the food is tasty. I got the chef chicken sandwich with truffle fries, and a cup of gumbo. Everything was delicious and comforting! The gumbo was flavorful and I'm glad I got a cup of it to try. The fried chicken sandwich was great too, and the portion was pretty large. I definitely had leftovers to take home. If you're looking for southern food or comfort food, Localz Bistro is a nice spot! And I'd recommend trying to gumbo

A good comfort food restaurant. Locally owned and operated with excellent staff. Sarah was our server and was exceptional. The evenings special was their fish and chips that my daughter ordered and was very good. I had the prime rib roll which was also good. The horseradish sauce helps it out. Lively popular place that is clean and bright.

    Jambalaya
    Ian S.

Chick-fil-a has a better chicken sandwich than this place. My wife got the Jambalaya and the dish did not have the amount of food I'd expect for a $22 dollar entree. This ambiance was like a southern version of Chili's. The waiter was nice but never came back to refill our waters. We won't be coming back here.

    Cheese curds!
    Brad H.

Came here on recommendation of friends and had a good experience. They seem to have a very diverse menu. I enjoyed the cheese curds very much as well as the red beans and rice. I had their version of French dip (Prime Rib Roll) and it was good, nothing that excited me, however. On another visit I also had the beef stroganoff. I didn't like it too well. Way too vinegary, sour flavor. I've never had such a vinegary stroganoff before. There were tons of pasta and beef. The portion was very generous. I started to eat my leftovers. The flavor just rubs me the wrong way. I don't know, I think they try too hard to be "different" or maybe their menu chef's tastes just don't jive with mine. Four stars because of the quality of ingredients, but just not for me. Give it a try to see if it fits your palate. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

    Rice and beans soup
    Jonelle W.

The view from this restaurant is beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is very delicious. I had a cup of rice and beans soup, it was hearty. My friend had the beef stroganoff and it was flavorful and fresh, I had pork chops with mashed potatoes and collard green. I rarely eat pork but when the chops were recommended to me by the server, I had to try it. It had a nice char flavor from the grill and it was seasoned right and flavorful. The collards green were tender and vinegary!it was so comforting. The bread pudding was also out of this word delicious and you get a thick serving with ice cream, whipped cream and strawberries.

Back again, and the poutine is killer! Like so addictive with the cheesy, gravey goodness! Also really enjoyed the steak sandwich, mine was cooked to perfection! Gf really enjoyed her tuna salad again! Service was a little slow, though not unbearable, but did have to ask more than once for our drinks. We will definitely be back.

Who would've thought this place would've been so good!! I cant wait to go back for the food. Ambiance is giving your local Applebees or Outback. Nothing crazy. There's a bar with a few seats, and a pretty large seating area. Service was pretty average nothing impressive. Waitress took the order and brought the food, never checked on us or refilled soda or water... so that was not great. Now onto the meal, I had the miso salmon with the goat cheese grits, and it was fabulous. 10 out of 10. The salmon was super flavorful and not fishy and the grits were excellent. I loved the flavor of everything. I cannot wait to try. The fresh made pasta with the shrimp scampi that the waitress had recommended - I will be back for that!

Outdoor seating with our Dog, the staff was so good to us.

I had the blackened Ahi and my husband had the fish tacos. Both were awesome. We love the outdoor seating with such a gorgeous view of the mountains and they allow dogs. The staff was attentive and so kind to our Dog, Osiris.

Went for a family dinner. Place was busy but we were seated promptly. Honestly was surprised at how good this place was. We just randomly picked it. The food was all fresh and had great flavor. Everyone I was with loved their meals. I had the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy, and crunchy. The bread was soft. My fries were cooked well and properly seasoned. I am excited to stop by again and try some other things.

    Chicken sandwich.
    Melissa Smith B.

This was once my favorite local spot to get a chicken sandwich. They were so insanely good! Yesterday, I did my usually pick up order, but upon my arrival at home I noticed the chicken looked much different than it normally does. It was not the thick juicy cut of perfectly fried chicken. It was flat, the breading was pulling away from the meat, and honestly looked like the frozen breaded chicken patties of my youth. . The overall taste was not even close to the sandwich I have been eating over the past several years. I told my husband I would not be going back again to which he replied "Good! That place was overpriced for a chicken sandwich!" I guess it's a good thing this happened because yesterday the cost of a chicken sandwich with fries was just over $20. Looks like they raised their already high prices.

The meal was delicious. We started off with the crispy Brussels sprouts - to say it's the best Brussels sprout I've ever had would be an understatement. The texture of them is out of this world, the apple cider vinegar that glazes them is perfect. The sweet acidity of that glaze is an incredible accompaniment to the sprouts, almonds, and cheese. Next we shared the celeriac blue cheese emulsion and wedge salad. The emulsion was delicious. The herb vinaigrette on our salad was delightful. I ordered the wagyu for my entree and to put it simply - it was a joy to eat. The plating was beautiful. Every part of the dish was sensational. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shank and the lamb fell off the bone and the potato it was served with was unbelievable! I felt so joyful during my entire dinner service. It is most certainly one of the best meals I have ever had. Highly, highly, recommend. Cannot wait to come back.

I didn't try the gyro burger because it was very raw on the inside. It was lamb and wagyu but I prefer my burger meats to be cooked all the way through. My friends said it was sweet and it's probably because they glazed the bun. The fat bastard oysters were too big for my liking. There's also gelato on top which was weird because it made the oyster taste like it was partially frozen. I don't recommend this. The rolls tasted like biscuits. It was crumbly and it wasn't expected for a nice restaurant. The heirloom tomato pastry was my favorite dish of the night. The half sashimi trout was more like a stew in sweet sauce. The baby yellow potatoes were just added without any seasonings. Assuming it should soak in the sweet juices? I didn't care for it. Trout was good, but preferred that the skin was crispy, which was extremely soggy, drowned in the sauce. Server asked if I wanted bread to drink the sauce and sure. Why not. It may taste better with regular bread and it wasn't. You can also skip valet parking if you just walk an extra minute down the parking lot. I forgot what one of the desserts name but it was the one with butter cake. This was extremely sweet too with the gooey caramel sauce. The donut was ridiculously expensive at $16 with a little honeycomb decoration. Nothing special with the desserts. Overall, everything is sweet here. Their menu is a lot and I feel like the burger menu can be a little too much and trying too hard to be fancy.

Most of the reviews are a few years old, and while there are photos posted by the owner, they don't say what anything is (which made ordering a bit of a guessing game). A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? This isn't white-tablecloth, hushed-voice "fine dining," but the kitchen is absolutely cooking at that level. Every dish that hit the table delivered: the som tum, drunken noodles, and Thai fried rice were all standouts, with zero misses across the board. The mixed greens and golden tofu plates were legit highlights too, not just obligatory veggie options. One thing to know before you go: everything defaults to no spice unless you speak up. If you're used to true Asian spice levels, level 3 is probably your sweet spot. Level 2 was still a bit too tame for us, especially for something like the som tum that really sings with heat. Here is where the identity crisis starts. You walk into a nice space with red velvet decor and Italian landscapes. I had to do a double-take to make sure we were in the proper establishment. The menu has photos of their dishes, great for a visual eater like myself. We started with the soft shell crabs in a chili sauce. The crabs were lightly battered, crisp and a delicious taste. We saved the sauce to pour over our rice, an added bonus. The pad Thai was to sweet, and over-run with red onions. This is not a combo I'm familiar with, not my favorite. The pork spiced ribs with honey, tomatoes, Thai spices and sesame oil was unique and good. They fell off the bone tender. What is stuck in my craw is the message sent by the physical space. Beautiful red velvet chairs, Italian landscapes and wine bottles lining the walls does not lend to fine Thai dining in my mind. A least paint over the walls and add SOME Thai touches. Let your wait staff know living on cell phone and ignoring patrons is never a winning message. The male bathroom has a toilet covered with painted tape and several missing pieces of porcelain. Are you a serious business or a pop-up finishing off someone else's lease? Attention to details are important and help set the table way before the food arrives. I wish Ve La Thai Fine Dining the best, but question their commitment after being here for over a year, perhaps it is all intentional.
