We came here for a birthday dinner with friends on a Friday. We were seated as our whole party arrived for our reservation The alcoholic beverages could've been a bit stronger, and they took a bit of time to get out, but in understand Fridays are busy, but maybe I just wasn't feeling it because I'd already eaten a ton of bread, haha. Always a plus to see an Aperol Spritz on the menu though, my favorite. Our food was a little hit and miss. My friend's clam pasta had the workings of an amazing dish, but it needed salt and more lemon to really make the flavors punch. Our ravioli was incredible, but might I suggest a slightly larger serving size to really be filling. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was good, but not the most memorable dish of the night. That was my friend's lasagna. That gets 10 stars. Also 10 stars to the lemon cake. It was incredible. Our server was charismatic.

I've combined the two visits we've had here into one review. Both visits were great and the waiter and service has been extremely nice and pleasant. The first time we went I ordered the Tagliatelle Funghi Porcini and I my stomach have issues with creamy things stuff sometimes so I felt a little queasy afterwards but it doesn't take away from how good it tasted!! The gnocchi I felt like was a little small of a portion but still the taste was really nice. The glass of wine I had was lovely as well. Chocolate mousse cake wasn't too overwhelming and had a pleasant taste as well. The atmosphere is really cute and romantic especially in the evening.

This place is located in a somewhat strange location. It has a ski shop next door , a dental clinic across the street , I think some other small business around it, then a neighborhood directly behind it. It's pretty steep , the parking lot is at an angle so use your parking brake! Haha. It was our first time but we were not impressed enough to say we will ever be back. Sadly, it only LOOKS high end -with its fancy tables that had cloth tablecloths and wine glasses for water but the food clearly did not go with the decor. There appeared to be one worker- he was the host who became also the waiter. I think only one person in kitchen too. It was dead. One table of two women were finishing up when we got there for our lunch. Btw- if you do choose to try this place, go at lunch. It was a Friday and it was dead, no music either! And there is a lunch menu that is cheaper than the dinner. Food- waiter quickly filled our fancy glasses with water. He presented us with a small plate with 4 small slices of white French bread. We ordered the lunch special: 14.99 for a pizza (there was like 4 to choose from) and a soda. For pasta, we tried the ravioli with Vodka sauce. The waiter was not very good with English -when we tried to make small talk with him or asked questions (example: what kind of bread is this? His answer: it's made in house) When I requested more bread , he finally brought over a bread basket instead of the small salad plate he first placed on the table. The food was FORGETTABLE. I was disappointed because this was our belated Valentine date. For one thing: the food was only SLIGHTLY WARM. Not hot and fresh. I don't know how the pizza could get so cold that fast? He brought over some Parmesan and crushed red pepper but which fresh parm on the pasta , you would like they would offer fresh parm as the extra to top the pizza with. Even Olive Garden waiters bring over their Parmesan cheese graters and grate fresh cheese onto our dishes! The waiter told me the kitchen closes at 2 and they reopen for dinner. It looked as tho he were the only employee there, and although he did not rush us, he also hovered just within enough distance to keep an eye on us to see if we were finished eating - so he can ask us if we needed boxes and the check. No offer of dessert - maybe because the kitchen was already closed by that time. One and done for us with this place. Joe: My wife is always in search for good Italian food. She had this saved on Yelp and thought we would try it for our late Vday Date. From the reviews being up and down, we decided it was best to try at lunch because it was cheaper. There was even a lunch special - pizza and soda for $15. We walked in and there seemed to only be one employee. The only other customers were two women who were finishing up their lunch. It was a Friday afternoon- so it was weird there weren't more people. Also the location was strange. Almost tucked away in the front of a neighborhood, with some local businesses. The food was just ok. We definitely thought it could be warmer. The pizza lunch special was ok but u cannot create your own pizzas- you have about 4 to choose from. We choose one with ham/artichokes/ mushrooms and olives. The mushrooms were 100% canned so that was disappointing- especially since the restaurant atmosphere was aiming for elegant/fine dining. The pasta we choose needed to be warmer, but it was a decent size for a lunch. The vodka sauce was good and my wife commented again on how it would be so much better if it was hotter. The place was eerily quiet. Not even any music. And with only the one employee in sight, we felt a little bit uncomfortable, like we should hurry. When we asked the server if they closed for lunch, he said yes. And apparently we arrived just 30 mins before lunch service ended.

This is a nice very upscale Italian restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. For an appetizer, we ordered the burrata. I'm not a fan of tomatoes but this appetizer was fantastic and it was so fresh. We also ordered the ravioli salmone which is lobster ravioli. So good and the sauce was delicious! We ordered the bigoli allo scoglio. It was a more pricy dish but really filling. It's pasta with clams, shrimp, mussels and half a lobster tail. If you are a seafood lover I recommend this dish. It's a perfect pasta and seafood combo. My favorite dish we ordered was the carbonara. It was filling, the sauce was great, it was topped with crispy bacon and pecorino and the perfect amount of black pepper and Parmesan cheese. The presentation of all the meals are amazing!

Great spot for a nice celebratory dinner! Dishes were all wonderful with exceptional flavor. Staff is professional and accommodating.

Carbonara was alright, I usually can down a plate but this one was kind of heavy. Not sure if the bacon was extra greasy or what. My friend got the lasagna which was great! Wish it had a larger portion. For dessert we got the chocolate mousse cake, which I am 99% sure is the one from costco haha but it was delicious either way-- maybe not for the price though. the tiramisu was also good but i've definitely had better. Our waiter was a little aggressive, probably not intentionally but it was hard to ask questions. the place wasn't as busy but had lots of open seating and not cramped which was nice.

We saw all the good reviews and decided to give this place a try. Overall we were pleased with our experience but it wasn't our favorite. We got the 4 formaggi pizza ($17) which was solid. The crust could have been cooked a bit more but overall had good flavor. We also ordered ravioli ($27) and that was a bit underwhelming on the flavor. The complimentary bread was really good. They try to provide a "fancy" feel to the restaurant but both the location and decor doesn't reinforce that style. I think that's an attempt to also justify the prices. For what it is, the prices were on the high end for what you get. The staff were awesome. They only had one server working which made it a little slow of an experience.

My co worker and I dined here on 7.26.2023 for an early dinner after a productive work day. I made reservations in advance but they weren't necessary because the restaurant wasn't packed at all. Love that there was already ice water at the table when we were seated and they immediately brought out complimentary bread. Our waiter was Brendan. He was ok - we ordered a salad and pasta dish to share. It's not a big deal, but service is everything to me. So, if we're sharing meals, wouldn't you (as the waiter) anticipate, or even ask to bring out sharing plates? Again, not a big deal to most people (but it's something worth mentioning - and no, I didn't knock off a Yelp star for that). My co-worker is allergic to gluten so she asked the waiter if they had any options for gluten free pasta dishes. Surprisingly we were informed that they could prepare any of the pastas gluten-free! So we ordered the Fettuccine alla Bolognese. After the pasta we ordered the Cheesecake Crema Brule. It was soft, fresh and really good! The service is good... it could be elevated but overall good and it's fast. Parking is in a shared lot and there were plenty of spots open when we arrived at 5pm on a Wednesday. If you're in the mood for good Italian food (looks like their pizzas are really popular), then I highly recommend you check out Carmine's.

The inside of the restaurant is well appointed and I think fitting for the cuisine. Not overly decorated but nice vibe for a casual dinner. Food wise I would recommend the spicy Shrimp Scampi - the pasta was said to be house made and it showed. Great chew and a nice compliment to the spicy fresh scampi sauce. Only complaint would be leaving the tails on shrimp - basically have to deconstruct the dish to get them off. This is very common though so not a huge deal. I liked that the entrees come with a house salad to feel like a solid meal. The smokey pineapple cocktail was a little sweet for me but liked that there were some interesting options. Our sever Ayden did a great job with the larger group and had drinks and water well topped off. Overall I enjoyed Caffe Molise and if I'm back in SLC I would go here again.

The bar staff were quick to serve us, knowledgeable about their products, and made excellent cocktails. We were seated on the balcony, which had a wonderful ambiance. The garden setting was beautiful, the décor was tasteful, and the seating was comfortable. The serving staff were attentive throughout the meal. They were knowledgeable about the specials, offered appetizer suggestions, promptly cleared empty plates, and ensured all of our needs were met. Unfortunately, the food is where the experience dropped from a 5-star service rating to a 3-star overall rating. The fish was overwhelmed by a heavy tomato sauce that masked the flavor of the fish itself. The gnocchi was overcooked and swimming in sauce, resulting in a disappointing entrée. While the atmosphere and service were exceptional, the quality and execution of the food did not match the high standards set by the rest of the experience.

We easily made reservations and found street parking about a block away. We started with some delicious cocktails--the Lady Pleaser and Paper Plane--which were both delicious. We had the bread with whipped cheese and hot honey along with the grilled caesar salad and crudo for appetizers. They were all beautifully presented and delicious but the caesar blew us away and was one of our favorite bites of the night. We got a few more cocktails to enjoy with dinner--the Mezzin' Around and a gin, mint, and lime drink I forgot the name of. We enjoyed both of these as well. For entrees, I got the carbonara and my husband got the squid ink pasta with lobster. I've never seen more beautifully presented pasta dishes in my life. The flavor matched the beauty too--and the portions were good enough to take half home. My husband was incredibly happy with all the lobster in his pasta. We took a raspberry tiramisu home, which was also delicious. The bill came to $208 before tip, which matched the quality of the food and restaurant experience. I'm excited to come back and try other things as I believe the menu changes regularly.

There were two options and we chose the one with shrimp on romaine, burrata caprese, and melon with prosciutto. Then we shared the pasta sampler (which has a much cooler name that I can't recall because I don't speak Italian!). I was never a big fan of gnocchi but it was fantastic, served in a spicier tomato-based sauce. There was a spectacular butternut squash ravioli, spinach ravioli, and a spaghetti with an indescribably delicious cream sauce. Overall, that dish is NOT to be missed. We also had a special entree of beef tenderloin with mushrooms, shaved potatoes, and an oxtail sauce. We shared it because OMG food coma, which was a great call. We finished with the tiramisu *swoon* and the lemon gelato with lemon juice, local Utah honey, and sea salt sprinkles. I'm not a big lemon dessert fan and I wouldn't have normally ordered it (I had the tiramisu). The lemon gelato with honey had such a pleasantly unusual texture. The honey had the mouth feel of stringy cheese but the flavor of spring. The gelato was delicate and soft and the salt just amplified the experience. Zachary was our server. One of my requirements was cocktails, and those looked pretty good from what I saw on Yelp. The menu was intriguing as well. I knew I wanted to try the tuna tartare for sure. I made a reservation for us for 18:30 and we were greeted with a smile and quickly seated. The ambiance was beautiful. I loved the giant tree in the middle of the dining room, and the seats were so chic and comfy. There is a parking garage, so no need to worry about parking either. Our server promptly greeted us and we placed our order for our cocktails and the tuna tartare app. I went with the Truth or Pear (I'm a sucker for anything pear related) and my husband went with the Mezcal old fashioned. Both arrived to our table shortly before the complimentary bread did. That bread was oh so warm and fluffy, and came with the most delightful herb oil to dip in. The cocktails were good, smooth and well-balanced. The tuna tartare was next to arrive, and it was plated wonderfully. I was very excited to dig in. The bread was toasted to perfection, and the tuna was seasoned with the most delightful citrus notes, just as stated in the menu. It was a perfect combination of flavors, and my favorite dish of the evening. The portion was also generous in my opinion, and we definitely savored each bite. As far as our entrees, we both wanted pasta, and the bison rigatoni caught my eye immediately. The spicy rigatoni spoke to my husband as well, so that's what we both ended up ordering. The pasta was quite decadent, especially mine with the ricotta. We noticed a lot of people packing up leftovers, and quite frankly, if we weren't so hungry, we probably would have had leftovers as well. While the sauce was overall good, it was a little monotone. The rigatoni was also a little overcooked. I honestly expected more, especially coming from CA, where I am no stranger to quality pasta dishes hailing from restaurants in Carmel, Half Moon Bay, and similar towns. We left with our bellies full, and the service was great, but I wished our pasta dishes were better, especially for what we paid (which was comparable to what I've paid in CA, mind you). The tuna tartare was most definitely the highlight of our meal. The next time we're in SLC, I'd come back for the tuna tartare, but it looks like I'll need to do a more thorough search for restaurants that serve better pasta.

Our server was quick to apologize, had a fresh entrée prepared right away, and even comped the meal, which was greatly appreciated. The replacement dish came out hot and was much better. I also enjoyed a glass of red wine that paired nicely with dinner, and the complimentary bread was absolutely delightful--fresh, warm, and a great way to start the meal. One of my favorite touches was the beautiful cherry blossom tree in the center of the restaurant. It creates such a unique and inviting atmosphere and really adds to the overall dining experience. While there was a small hiccup with the food temperature, the excellent service and attention to making things right turned it into a positive experience. I would definitely return.

If you find yourself in Salt Lake City, do not miss out dining here! You won't regret it!

I can see why Urban Hill's Executive Chef Nick Zocco was a two-time James Beard Award semi-finalist…read moreand winner of Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay in 2025!!! My dinner here was AMAZING!!!! Without reservations, my coworker and I were able to sit at the bar right away although the restaurant was popping for a Monday night! Everything we had was DELICIOUS!!! The lamb tartare in harissa sauce intrigued me because come on, you never see lamb tartare; it is always beef tartare! It was so good and the grapefruit added a nice citrusy note to the dish! It paired perfectly with the potato chips. I saw several people at the bar with the Golden Eagle Black Cod dish so I felt reassured that I made a good choice and me oh my, did I!!! The cod melted in my mouth yet had a nice crispness to the skin! I devoured the whole dish and scraped off all the gochujang glaze too! For dessert, they were out of Lemon Blueberry Bliss which was my first choice. We got the Pistachio Entremet and for the pistachio lovers out there, this is your dessert!!! It has pistachio everything!! ;) Our bartender/server had great energy and customer service as well as the hosts! I left feeling so satisfied and blissfully full with the amazing meal! Kudos to the team at Urban Hill!!!! One quick side note: I appreciate how the restrooms had individually packaged floss picks! A nice touch indeed! ;)
