It took several minutes for our server to greet us but once she did she was attentive. If you've never been this is a great place to try gator tail, frog legs and venison. The clam strips were not rubbery or hard and had a good flavor to them. The frog legs meat fell off the bone and has the flavor of a light flavored fish with the texture of chicken. Most of us ordered the venison dinner that comes with two sides and Josh puppies. The venison was cooked to perfection and quite tender. This is by far the best venison I've ever had! I ordered a house salad and the okra n tomatoes. The gator tail meal was equally good not rubbery or hard. All the food was plentiful. The dessert is the best of all - sour orange pie! The cashier immediately told me I couldn't sit there because it was a "clean area," which naturally raised the question... so is everything else not clean? I said, "No problem -- I'll stand outside in the rain," and she literally responded, "OK." For context on the wait time: I managed to write 97% of this review before the food showed up. The food situation didn't get better. After about 30 minutes, I told the server/cashier I couldn't wait much longer. She asked if I wanted the manager and I said that would probably be a good idea. I waited another five minutes... and instead of a manager, she came out with my food and handed me the bag. To her credit, she was very nice and apologized -- and she also told me something that explains a lot: she's trained to say "15 minutes" regardless of how long it actually takes.
