Wow! It's been quite a while since I've been compelled to give 5 stars. Great job of dealing with a long line at the door all while social distancing. Staff was happy, friendly, and made us feel like we were the most important to them. Food came and my girls and I all thought we had the best pasta entree. Food looked nice and taste was even better. Was charged extra for Alfredo sauce when the Alfredo was ordered (did not ask for extra if anything), charged extra for dipping sauce that was offered with the meal and app without being told anything was extra then there was a charge for using a credit card. Finally, a decent restaurant in Hastings!!! Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. We love their salmon dish and the side of green beans but the other dishes are scrumptious as well. My boyfriend and I are locals that stop by throughout the year. In the warmer months, they have an amazing patio (which is dog friendly for well behaved puppies). My corgi absolutely loves stopping by after a scenic walk along the Mississippi River. We always have a wonderful time when we are there. The coconut shrimp is amazing! And don't get me started on their teriyaki green beans. Yum! It is always worth listening to their specials! I usually end up getting one of them. And then for dessert, you can't go wrong with the chocolate cake or most recently, their new delicious cheesecake. Got take-out from here for lunch. Pricing was reasonable and the menu had tons of options for everyone. The food was delicious and service was quick (about 20 minutes for 4 orders of different items). The guys liked the bottle service option so they could enjoy their beers as well (sold in 4pk bottles). Everyone commented that the pricing seemed cheaper than eating in and that the cost of the beer was quite reasonable. Will be back again next time we're in Hastings. I don't understand the bad reviews here on Yelp; their Facebook and Google reviews are much better. Anyways, this is my favorite restaurant for a few reasons. The menu is fabulous. There is something for everyone. I'm not sure why others have complained about the fact they serve multiple types of food, this seems like a good thing to my eyes! The service here is good, I've never had a problem with the service what so ever. The only suggestion for the restaurant that I do have is to make sure the food is served the same as how it states in the menu. I understand there are probably a few different cooks, however, there have been multiple times were things were added that weren't in the menu. The servers were quick to fix the mistake when we brought it up though each time! I love this place. Much better than many places in town!! Support small businesses... WOW, I am amazed at how the owner of this place just can't figure it out. In the Last few years this place has been Italian, Mexican and now... I don't know, American, Mexican, Italian? So they have failed at Italian because of pour food quality, failed at Mexican because of the same and now changed the name again and added some burgers... Still poor quality. Nice new patio but looks at dumpsters and the smell from them is just as bad as they look. To the owner, you can not serve pe-cooked, pre-maid food and expect people to enjoy it. You have a good location, but need to pick something and do it well, not put on all of your failures on the menu and expect it to work. I am so disappointed. Take the money you spend remodeling/Rebranding and hire a qualified executive Chef (not a line cook) to run your kitchen and you will succeed. read more

This is the best 3 star restaurant I have been too. The service was a little slow, but it was friendly and helpful. And the food was very good. We had guacamole made at our table, and it tasted very good. Got the Ernie's pasta which was small, but very tasty. And also got the birds nests, which was different and good. Much better than some of these reviews would indicate. Our service, though it wasn't busy, was excellent and the two young servers were quite nice and personable. The triple dip appetizer presented queso, guacamole and salsa better than we have ever found elsewhere. Don't believe me? Order it and compare! The entrees of tortellini and chicken Marsala were both good. No complaints here and we look forward to returning and trying out some different menu items next time. read more

This place definitely has potential, but it needs a lot of help. Unfortunately, almost everything we ordered today was bland and so boring. First off, the Gringo Nachos. The chicken was dry, and under-seasoned. It wasn't a horrible dish, but I wouldn't order it again. Servers were walking by with the guacamole and I wish I had ordered that instead (looked much tastier). My husband ordered the Chicken Burrito, and I got the Fish Tacos. First time I've ever had fish tacos that were diced up and fried. Aren't they supposed to come in a whole piece? I've eaten many fish tacos in my day, and this was definitely a first. My husband got the Jalapeño Sauce for his burrito and it tasted like nothing. Literally nothing. I've never tried a sauce that tasted like water. I couldn't explain it, it was the strangest thing. The chicken in his burrito wasn't terrible, though. The strangest part to me was the overall menu. Italian, Mexican and American food. Please specialize in one thing, MAYBE two, and perfect that. Adding too much variety to a menu makes it confusing, and most of the time, the food comes out mediocre. read more

The food is alright most of the time. Service is usually kind of slow. It takes a while for a waiter most often along with it taking a long time for food to be brought out. One time me and my family in on a somewhat busy day, we got seated and got are drinks pretty quick (the only time the waiter came by), he asked if we were ready to order and said we needed some time, he never came back we waited for a hour with our orders in mind, at the one hour mark or so of waiting we decided just to leave because when something is bad to start there is no point in staying. It's easy to see why this restaurant is going out of business. I went with my wife to here because we got a gift card. I ordered shrimp alfredo, and she ordered lasagna. I will start with her order. The cheese was very low quality and greasy. It was so greasy that the grease was pooling on her plate. Also, the sauce was very thin and lacking any kind of seasoning. It was very bland. Also, the noodles were very overcooked and hard. My shrimp alfredo was no better. The noodles were chewy, like they hadnt been cooked near long enough. The sauce was also very bland and almost unflavored. It was basically like eating plain noodles. The shrimp was also very chewy. It tasted like it was old. We ordered cheese curds as well and they werent bad. They were certainly freshly cooked. But the amount they give is very small for what you pay. The atmosphere was dreary, the tables were dirty, and decor was bland. Well I guess the decor is appropriate for the food. Overall, it's not hard to see why the business is failing. Went there for a celebration when it first opened as an Italian restaurant. When I think Italian I think your classic dishes, but they went 'weird' with the Italian. Maybe a modern twist, but we have no Italian restaurants in Hastings so it would have been nice to have some classic dishes that were excellent. We had a lot of hope for this place but it didn't pan out at all. We ordered the scallops and it came with this huge cone nest around it, while fun, we didn't exactly know how to get the scallops out without making a huge mess. So, when this rebranded we thought we would try it again. We want this to succeed, we are DESPERATE for classic Italian dishes. Unfortunately, my husband ordered Mexican and he said it was the weirdest Mexican dish he has ever had. It didn't taste good at all. My meal was so mediocre I can't even remember what it was, but the portion was extremely small. Went there for the Breakfast with Santa. The food wasn't very good and it wasn't setup when we first got there. They had some nice fun things for the kids, but when I saw the bill I was SHOCKED! Came here with a friend for lunch. We ordered the guacamole for an app and got the small, which was the perfect size for the two of us, very reasonably priced, and pretty tasty. I ordered the beet wrap (can't remember the actual name) that had beets, goat cheese and a balsamic sauce. It was a little messy to eat and had to finish it with my fork, but oh man, it was so good! I would order that again in a heartbeat! My friend got the Mexican burger which looked really good and she said was quite good as well. The fries were kind of "meh", not bad, but nothing exciting. Our server was very friendly and did a great job making sure we were doing well even though it looked like she was the only one waiting tables at the time. Although the service could be deemed slightly slow by some the food and service more than made up for it. We had a group of 4 adults and a toddler. We order drinks and apps and a meal for each. I had the super burrito (it's big) wife had the special Cajun pasta. Friends had lobster linguine and enchiladas beef. All were fantastic. Waiter had the frame if mind to ask if the kids meal should be delivered with app. In all the dinner took about an hour and a half. Will be back for sure read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have tried this place two times over the last three years and both times regardless of their cafe style or Mexican cuisine it was dismal to say the least. The first occasion we waited in the front entry for nearly 10 minutes before anyone even noticed we were there. Food was average service was slow and staff wasn't even friendly. The next time we came (not by my choice) our server forgot to put in two of the 5 meals so we all ate at different times. This last time I tried (again family in town give it a shot they said...they wished they had listened) needless to say service was awful and this time two of our group ended up ill. Can't say much else except steer clear if you want to give someone money for less than adequate food, service and time spent run up the road to Las Margaritas, at least they have banging margaritas! read more

Patio is under bridge and by ally, so extremely noisy. Plus the music on speakers was very loud so having a conversation was difficult. I ordered the chicken tacos. The meat was ground and tasteless. The only spice I tasted was too much cumin. Mexican rice had absolutely no flavor and dry. I told waitress I didn't enjoy and thought it would be shredded meat in which she stated she ordered the beef. Either way it was terrible. They did compensate by replacing one taco with a shredded chicken and gave a slight discount. I won't be going back. read more
