Coming from California, I was a bit skeptical about having Mexican food in Minnesota. But my sister wanted to try their birria tacos, so we put in an order for pickup. Credit card purchases require an additional surcharge. Service on the phone was friendly but when we arrived, the estimated time for pickup got increased unexpectedly. They were pretty busy that day so maybe they underestimated how long it would take.. I had the quesadilla rellena with chicken. The meat came shredded and smelled a bit like tuna, so I wasn't a big fan. There was no cheese pull and the tortilla was soggy. I'm not sure if the experience would be better as dine in. The salsa was spicy though, and the guac and sour cream added some needed fat and flavor. Based on this order I wouldn't come back for the food. read more

great mexican restaurant! chips and salsa are great! carnitas tacos were awesome, salsa verde is a bit spicy, ive never had it anywhere else this spicy. but its good! also the margarita burrito was very good. my husband likes the fajitas, and loves the chile verde plate, just wish that one had a bit more food. he couldve eaten 2 orders of it easily. servers are hit and miss , sometimes super busy so you dont get alot of attention, refills or checking to see if you need anything. or sometimes theyre very very talkative, like wont leave your table while your eating. but the food is good, so we still go! read more

This place used to be the best. The amount of food was half the size of what it used to be for double the price. What they show on the menu isn't always what you get. Eh.... I've been to a bunch of Mexican restaurants in my lifetime and this one didn't really stand out. It wasn't bad, but wasn't anything great. They still give out free chips and salsa at this place (really, places that charge??) so that wins them a plus one star right off the bat. I'm used to Mexican places that serve stomach-busting portions, but this place had diet conscious portions which didn't seem to fit with what I paid for. I tried the Chicken Chimichanga. I do not understand the good reviews or the always full parking lot. The red sauce is like ketchup and the chimi sauce was like cream of mushroom soup. Sadly, I am not a HUGE fan of authentic Mexican food however I do enjoy Las Margaritas. For a smaller town restaurant, their food is good but I really like their margs! I'm a fan of this place. Living in So Cal I have plenty of choices for yummy mexi restaurants, but when we visit family in Hastings we always make time to stop in here. The restaurant has been completely remodeled since the last time we were in - easily doubled in size with a lot more tables/booths and a nice big bar. We opted to sit at the bar, the hubs got a patron margarita and I ordered a michelada. Both were really good - he took the time to squeeze the lime juice and mix up all the necessary ingredients and we were very pleased with our concoctions. We split the super nachos and I also had a taco - both were really tasty. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town. read more

Hubs & I were on our way to Treasure Island to catch a show and decided to eat here instead of at the actual casino. I'm happy we did! He had the Pollo Adobado and absolutely loved it. The chicken was coated in a nice spice that wasn't too hot but had a great flavor. He really liked having the tortillas too so he could make his own little tacos. I am bummed out to have to write this review because this restaurant is my favorite. The last couple of time I have visited I have been made to feel very uncomfortable by my server. Today he came over to my child and told my 5 year old to not be so messy. He said he was kidding but later but then when we were paying he told my child to go clean under the table, again stating he was kidding. He also put his arm around my child and did so with me a couple weeks ago. My children do not want to go back because it made them so uncomfortable as it did with me. Went to this place on 7/17/2019 at 6:00. We were seated right away and then forgot about. Our waiter was one of the owners. Waited 15 min to order a drink. 2 tables came in after we ordered and they got their food first. I called him over and asked him why they got their food before us and he said it was coming. Las Margaritas is my go-to restaurant for some delicious Mexican cuisine! The service is always on point, and the food seems to arrive as quickly as you get to order. The atmosphere is always enjoyable, especially after their renovation/addition a year or so ago. There are plenty of places to sit, both tables and booths, as well as a spacious and inviting bar. I've been to quite a few of the surrounding Mexican restaurants, including the other Las Marg locations, and I always find myself craving this place! The decor is bright and fun, and so is the menu! The first round of chips and salsa are complementary, but you'll probably want more. The salsa does vary in its spiciness, however it always tastes homemade. I would definitely recommend ordering the Queso Cheese Dip appetizer, delicious! It's great to add to whatever you order for an entree as well. My personal favorites for entrees would be the Cancun Burrito (substituting the red sauce for cheese sauce) or the Chimichanga! Everything I've ever ordered was delicious however, and I've pretty much tried everything on the menu, besides for the seafood (not my taste of food). As for the people who've commented that the red sauce is not good, I could not speak for that because I do not like enchilada sauce of any sort, sorry I can't help on that! Lastly, there must be a comment on the margaritas of course! I'm not typically a tequila drinker, but margaritas are an exception of course. The jumbo margarita is incredibly large, and I would recommend either sharing or not driving. I think the taste of their margaritas definitely varies, but they are always quite strong. For me, that is not always a good thing, however, I still find myself ordering them! If you're looking for a place with an amazing drink, this may or may not be your place. If you're looking for a place with amazing food and service, and pretty good drinks, this is your place! read more

WORST FOOD & CUSTOMER SERVICE! I should've know right from the beginning and walked out, because I stood in the front area for over 10 minutes and nobody greeted us or acknowledged we were there including the lady standing at the hostess station and the manager who made eye contact with us. I received a combination platter that was covered in enchilada sauce even though I ordered a burrito. The sauce tasted like tomato paste out of a can and the chile relleno was mushy and looked like chicken skin. I nicely told the server I was unhappy with the food, but that I would gladly pay for the beer and the extra chips (which they charge you for for extra chips & salsa!). He told me he couldn't take the food off my bill because it was already entered into the system....so then the manager came out to help me (FYI he didn't even offer to bring me something different) The manager approached my table with an already pissed attitude and began defending the food. I just explained that I wasn't a fan and am no way trying to insult your food. I just don't like enchilada sauce and nowhere on the menu did it say a normal burrito would be covered in it. He told me that was how they made their food and that It was my fault I didn't like it! I pointed out the chile relleno and he told me there was nothing wrong with it and AGAIN told me it was my fault I didn't like it. The whole time I was talking he was ROLLING HIS EYES AT ME! I said "I'm sorry if you are insulted but I'm shocked that you just don't seem to care how I feel" He CURSED at me in spanish and then walked away from my table while I was mid sentence.
