I've always had good vibes here. Particularly great bar in the winter as it's always warm. Not sure how they do it, as it's high ceilings old brick building like everything on Ballard Ave but they have the heat dialed in! Solid beers on tap, good liquor selection. I love coming here for a few pints with friends. Occasionally will get slammed at night but in general there's always room yet never feels empty. Plus, a big canoe/kayak looking thing hanging from the ceiling. Don't forget to look up)

Super friendly bartenders and atmosphere!! Pool is only a dollar per game, usually people don't mind splitting a table. Their Irish coffee drink is so good.

My daughter and I tried Lock & Keel Tavern the other night ago and it was fun. We had a quick drink to start the night here and noticed they have a cool outside back patio seating area as well. There's a couple of pinball machines and pool tables as well. As we left we noticed they have the frozen liquor drinks like you see in Vegas a lot. I would've had one if I noticed it earlier but didn't do too bad with a draft Manny's Pale Ale. My daughter had the hard cider on tap from a Yakima cidery. Looking up from our seats was a very large shell (boat for crew) mounted on the ceiling. There were other unique things there as well. Nice vibe here and an old timey bar atmosphere.

Friendly bartender and chill vibes on a Tuesday afternoon! Surprisingly good Cubano sandwich too.

Really loved this local bar in the middle of the restaurant scene. Loved it so much, we went two nights in a row - smoked wings night and the ribs night. The employee that smokes the wings needs a promotion! They were insanely good! Prices were low, which was nice considering all the places around them. The service was always great, and their bartenders really take the time to make you feel welcome.

The backyard seating is pretty cozy and interesting

It's a limited menu ,but the frozen pizza is ok. Go there for the cultural expiece, not the food. Gracious personnel. Pool table. G.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

By the time we had dinner, although hungry, it was past 8 and we needed to eat a little lighter and mostly had apps, so not sure how light that meal really was. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Because it was a bit cold, my younger sister got the fried chicken ramen. Fried chicken was not chicken katsu but fried chicken. The chicken was a bit salty while the ramen had a good amount of spice to it. Ramen broth was really good, especially on a cold night for me being from Hawaii. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the cheese perogies. I enjoy perogies and haven't had any while on this trip to Seattle so a bit of a bummer. It was more like cheese ravioli. However best part of dinner was having the family together. And we ended the night on a good note. And the staff, so sweet. We appreciate you all for accommodating our family.
