    Quest to the Throne

We really enjoyed the amount of puzzles that had to be solved. We were stumped for amount 15 minutes and then once we solved one clue it started flowing nicely! I've done 3 of their rooms and I can't wait for the next one! Highly recommended!

We had so much fun as a family! The staff is SO friendly and helpful... Thank you Rain and Kirsten! I called in advance for a recommendation for the number of players and our beginner level, and received great recommendations. The place was easy to find with reserved parking. Everything moved smoothly from arrival to game play. The puzzles were challenging and fun, and there were surprises that absolutely delighted us. We will definitely be back.

This place was super fun! The "game masters" (employees) are really great in what they do! They got into character right after explaining the rules and made the game interactive and fun since the start. We played the mad scientist escape room (45 mins) and passed with 8 minutes left! They are super helping when it comes to asking for hints and I want to give a shout out to Chris who greeted us as soon as we walked in and he checked us in and had us sign waivers, explained what we were getting ourselves into and had us put all our stuff away in a locker. He was just super rad, and also a shout out to Emily our "game master" she was super sweet and a blast to have help us solve this game! We will definitely come back and book another game.

A group of my ASB students wanted to build an escape room at our school, but none of them have ever participated in one before. They went through the Quest for the Throne room, and after completing the escape room (with 4 minutes to spare!), the owner, Christine, was kind enough to sit down with the students to give them advice as to what kind of locks and puzzles they could do, and gave some fantastic recommendations for their upcoming event. She even offered to see the completed project to give the students feedback! I've given quite a few 5-star reviews on Yelp, but Locked Adventures is the only company I've reviewed that deserves an extra 5 stars. They truly went above and beyond the call of duty, and I'm definitely suggesting this place to all of my friends. PS. The kids had a BLAST today.

This is the best escape room I have done so far! Had a blast, great puzzles, great props! We did hunting Dracula and it was really cool!

Love this place! Made a reservation for a private room of "The Quest for the Throne" and it was really easy to add more people the day of. We have had some escape room experience before and the room was a perfect difficulty. Our game master Emily was very kind and super helpful. We all had a great time (and escaped with 2 minuets left) and will definitely go again for another escape room!

Okay, I really wanted to give this place five stars, but no can do. Most of the people, most, that I spoke to are friendly and helpful. I had one employee give me a break through (without ruining the room of course) of each room to see which one better fit what I was looking for. She was awesome! I had to switch rooms and times a few times due to planning a birthday party and people flaking or changing their mind last minute and they were very understanding and accommodating. Definitely great customer service. But here's why they don't get the other two stars. The owner Jim was feisty and rude. The last time I called to switch the room he tried to get me to book the mad scientist room to which I said no because my kids weren't into science that much. He proceeded to say that didn't matter to which I responded that one of his employees specifically said that room best suited people who are into biology. Well, Jimbo didn't like that and immediately changed his tune with a snarky "well I don't know who said that but whatever" comment to me. Like really? I'm just going based on what your employee said. No need to be bitchy about it but in his words, "whatever." The day of the reservation, the girl we were talking to seemed new. She kept asking the wife of the owner when and how to do stuff. Keep in mind, it was the first escape room for my kid and his friends and I really wanted them to have a good time. I asked the owners wifey if our game master was new and that I possibly wanted a more experienced one to which she responded, with attitude, that she wasn't new and was "really good." Okay then. After the kids "escaped" I asked how it went and they were disappointed. The "really good" game master pretty much walked them through the entire room without them asking for any hints. Which the whole point to these rooms is to figure things out not to have someone tell you how to unlock everything. So I'm disappointed at the owner's behavior and the fact the the employee wasn't trained appropriately to guarantee a good time for customer's. With so many other escape rooms, I'll be looking elsewhere for escape rooms for all the parties and get togethers I have planned for the year. Which sucks because their Dystopia room sounds like a good time. But, I refuse to give my money to rude owners.

Played the Mad Scientist. Fun challenging room! Looking forward to coming back to hit the others

Always a great time here. I finally did the last 2 rooms. I pushed myself to do Dystopia. Room: Dystopia Time: 44:49 This is their zombie room and was actually really fun. Yes there are scare moments, but that is all I can give without giving the room away. Large enough room where you can have a larger group, I had a group of 5. Room: KV62 Time: 30:00 Not the most difficult room to do, BUT most immersive! Meaning, Jim and his team did an excellent job putting this room together. One thing I can say, watch your fingers. We had a small hiccup and was taking care of in a great manner.

Ask the Community - Locked Adventures

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Hi Neena, Since we run private games, anyone is welcome in a family setting. Children 5 and under are free. In most games, players 18 and under require at least one participating adult in the room. We do have different age, adult, and height…

Hi, I'm not sure how much your allowed to tell about the room without spoiling it, but does the Dystopia room contain jumpscares?

    Yes it does

Question for those who have played it - I saw the Quest for the Throne goes up to 8 players. In your opinion would 8 be crowded? Is there enough for everyone to do?

If you are all first timers, then yeah 8 would be fine. But if you have at least one or two experienced people, then I would try to go with no more than 6 people. I've done over 60 games and have found that 5-6 is ideal for most escape rooms as you…

Between the relentless adrenaline and the pure joy of burning off every ounce of energy, the atmosphere was a chaotic, non-stop laughter and victory screams. Squarena is a very unique and fun place for both kids and adults to play and get some energy out…read more My daughter chose to celebrate her 10th birthday here with ten of her close friends. They had a blast playing games and enjoying some friendly competitions. We picked Birthday Package which included pizza, drinks and dessert. There is a back party room has two tables and fits comfortably around 10 to 12 kids. I especially liked the large glass observation window, which allowed us to watch the kids while they played. Each game lasts about 18 minutes, providing a nice rhythm for the kids to cycle back to the room for snacks and drinks. However, I do have a few suggestions regarding the birthday experience and food policies. First, we were disappointed to learn we couldn't bring our own cake. My daughter was quite let down, as the provided cupcakes didn't feel quite right for a milestone 10th birthday. We were also informed that if we wanted to bring any extra food or treats, they had to be individually wrapped, which is very limiting. Additionally, our host was not very engaging. They simply explained how the room and games worked, making the experience feel a bit transactional rather than celebratory. Despite these minor issues, it was a great party overall. The kids had a wonderful time, and we will definitely be back to play again.
