I bought my 2014 Cadillac CTS from Lockhart about year and a half ago. I bought the car certified pre-owned and have been having all of my service done there, so that I would have a clean service record, all completed at the dealership. About a week after I last took it in for an oil change, the check engine light came on. I called Lockhart to see if they would check it out for me and found out there was a over $100 charge to diagnose what the issue was. I decided to skip that and took it to AutoZone to have the code read. When we popped the hood, we saw that the oil dipstick had not been put in all the way, and oil had been coming out from the tube and that the oil cap had not been all the way secured. This prompted a "are you kidding me!?!?!!" and guaranteed I would not be using them for any service in the future. This was especially disappointing as I had recently spent over $2000 on service which I doubt was done correctly and bought new tires from them. To be fair I didn't give them any chance to rectify this, as something so simple being missed erased any trust I had in their service department. read more

I just called them to get an estimate on body damage and they tried to argue with me about the insurance company coming to me instead of me going to the dealership without even hearing the full story. I explored that the insurance company wanted me to get an estimate from them first. Horrible customer service! I called another body shop and they told me to come on in by 5:30. This is actually for Lockhart Cadillac Collision Center on Hague Road. I needed my bumper repaired due to peeling clear coat and a few scrapes from backing into a brick wall. I had an awesome experience! When I went for the estimate I was impressed by the clean facilities and friendly staff. It took less than 5 minutes for the inspection and they worked with my schedule for the repair. I couldn't be happier with the repairs themselves. My bumper looks better than it ever has, plus they washed, waxed, and vacuumed. Needless to say my entire car looks better than when I dropped it off. The waiting area is always clean, very relaxing when waiting to have my Escalade serviced. The wait time is always good. Cold water/drinks, coffee and snacks are always available as well. My 2 year old grandson made a mess of my vehical while transporting him from daycare to my home 4 days in a row, when I got my vehical back from service to my surprise my vehical was vacuumed out, boy did it need it. I drove almost 3 hours to this dealership because that listed the "car of my dreams" online. My sales person was Chris Bowman and I can't say enough positive things about him and how he helped me get the fairest price for this vehicle. He was very patient with me through the car buying process and he was kind and personable. He worked with the financing manager named Tim and he was a very nice person too and explained everything to me in detail and wasn't pushy. Neither Tim or Chris we're pressure salespeople - which I truly appreciated. What I really liked about financing was everything they showed me displayed the monthly payment of what I was paying - which is what the customer wants to know....can I afford this vehicle. There was one fee that I questioned and they understood my concerns. I really felt like they were valuing me as a customer. I think this was probably one of the easiest car transactions I have ever encountered. I didn't get what I really wanted in my trade-in but I understand they are trying to make money too. However they did give me a little better than they started off with. They also adjusted the sale price of the car to make up somewhat for the trade-in price. My hat is tipped for this dealership and it was well worth driving there to buy my car. Also I appreciated that they really checkout out my vehicle before I purchased it and they provided service records to show exactly was fixed before they put it on the lot. A lot of dealers do not do this and you discover issues after the sale. Anyhow thanks again for a super pleasant experience and you can go to this dealership with confidence !!! read more

Pretty good deal for the truck I bought...this was a company vehicle so we paid cash. The fact that I have to write this negative review for something so minor is annoying. But the point is that they will do nothing for you after the sale. They promised to mail us an additional set of car keys once they got them...We said great, no problem. It has been about 10 months, and followed up today because it popped in my head. Now they say they won't unless we have it writing! LOL. Long story short, because of this I will write this negative review, order a set up keys from a local dealership, and never buy another truck from them. Terrible customer service. We only go there bc of location and we have a Cadillac. Whenever we had Sam as a rep and would call with a question, he was always "out to lunch" regardless of the time. We had Darrell recently, and even though I scheduled an appointment online with details AND he wrote it down when I arrived, he called 10 minutes after I left to ask what was needed to be done. Then it took half the day for a simple quote, and he then he never called to follow up that the car was done even though he told my husband "30 minutes" when he called with the quote. I called multiple times to find out if it was done and to pay over the phone. Then when I picked up the car, the items from under the seat and the console were piled on the passenger seat, which was unnecessary for the work that was being done. For the 3 years we have used Lockhart Cadillac for service, we have never had an overall positive experience. read more

I ventured to Lockhart Cadillac not with money-filled pockets ready to be spent, but with two GM recall letters clenched in my hand. Living downtown and working in Fishers made it difficult to decide where to take my car for the recall repairs. When I went to the GM site, Lockhart was listed as an option AND was close to work. I made the appointment online and it was confirmed quickly. I also made a point to ask about transportation to/from my job, and that was confirmed as well. I arrived very early in the morning and the gentlemen inside the garage were very kind and friendly. I waited in the waiting area for about ten minutes before I was escorted to work in an awesome CTS. There was someone to come pick me up when my car was ready and I was on my way. I even received a follow-up call to make sure everything was running okay. What most impressed me about Lockhart Cadillac was the outstanding customer service. I rolled up in a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu with dents, dings, and scratches. Yet, I was treated like I was bringing my 2015 Cadillac in for routine service. I don't foresee any luxury vehicle purchases anytime soon, but I would defnitely give these guys my recommendation. read more

The service team at Lockhart is great, they really helped me out! I brought in my Saturn Vue because the ignition was locking and I couldn't get it to unlock. They said they'd run a diagnostic on it for $100, then call me with the estimate to fix it. I was thinking it would be a couple hundred to fix. When they called to let me know the problem, they explained that they noticed the key was worn, so they cut a new key to see if that would fix the problem. It did. They saved me money and fixed the problem because they cared enough to pay attention to details. Thanks guys! read more

Don't have your car serviced here! Last week I brought my Outlook in for a "Lift gate stabilizer recall", a simple GM issued factory defect repair. When I left, after the repair was done and a "free" multi-point inspection was performed that revealed no problems, the car would barely start, it ran rough, the engine light came on, the "service stabilitrack" and "service traction control" lights came on, and the engine temperature started climbing. The coolant reservoir was empty and after filling it and returning to the dealer, it was finally determined, after the 3rd re-visit, that a small plug had come off a vacuum line and I had a $120.00 bill for repairs. Funny that the car was starting and running perfectly before I took it in. This is not a lot of money, but if this is the typical mode of operation for their service department, I'm done with them. read more

Purchased my XTS4 at Lockhart about 2 1/2 years ago, our Salesperson Josh Levy, was very knowledgeable on the vehicle especially the CUE system. I have been very happy with this vehicle and the service staff at Lockhart. They are very friendly and professional. Getting an appointment for service and/or maintenance is always timely and during visits, the service staff always keeps the customer abreast of the status of repair/fix and/or maintenance. On 11 June we were passing through Indianapolis to our stop in Springfield, Ohio that evening. Going over some very rough roads we hit a deep pothole and realized that the right front tire had lost pressure. Immediately we stopped and contacted the ON STAR representative. He guided us to a gas station and we tried to fill the tire. Unfortunately, the tire was damaged beyond repair and so roadside assistance was necessary. Our ON STAR connected us with the nearest Cadillac dealership, Lockhart Cadillac in Fishers, IN. We were told that it would be a 30-45 min. wait. Mr. John Loeffler arrived earlier than expected to our delight! Mr. Loeffler was so friendly and professional. He promptly assessed that we would in fact need a new tire. He put a temporary tire on my 2016 CTS and confirmed that the Lockhart dealership would have a new tire in the size we needed. We then followed Mr. Loeffler to the Cadillac dealership approximately 17 miles away. Mr. Loeffler introduced us to Mr. Sam Pruitt, who then explained that we could contact our dealership back in Annapolis, MD. to confirm I had a tire insurance policy. Once this was verified, the cost to us was a mere $5.00 for disposal of the old tire. About an hour later the car had a new tire, had been washed and all ready for us to resume our travel to Ohio. I thought of sending a letter to the dealership commending both Mr. Loeffler and Mr. Pruitt, but thought this venue would be seen by many others. I do hope the business manager takes note of the outstanding service these two gentlemen provided to two weary travelers that day. We were very grateful! read more

He explained everything thoroughly and programmed my car to stop unlocking automatically when I put it in park, and I appreciate this extra beyond the routine, included maintenance. After spending three hours waiting to see if I could get financing (which should not have been a problem at all, considering I have a good credit score - and I have no idea why this process would take so long) I was finally told I qualified for a loan. When signing the documents I realized the loan was much more expensive than it should have been. Upon questioning this I was told $500 was added for "anti theft protection" which was not optional. I was not happy with this, but they told me "don't buy the car, then"... after I had waited the entire day to buy this specific car at a certain price. This is a review for their maintenance. My husband and I bought our used vehicle here last December and had a wonderful experience. Today I had a SCHEDULED appointment for a simple oil change. Trying to call and schedule the appointment was a pain in itself. I never could get through to anyone and it actually took me a couple days of trying to call to make the appointment. I showed up a few minutes early and I wasn't too sure how the process went so I parked outside the maintenance bay and walked in and was proceeded to be ignored for about 5 minutes. There were 3-4 employees not working with any other customers and did not once acknowledge me as I stood there patiently waiting for someone to ask if I needed help. After 5 minutes I said screwed this and walked up to an older gentleman where I was met with zero eye contact and a very rude tone. Thankfully, Sam came in and saved the day. Unfortunately, I have to continue to get maintenance done here but I'm really hoping my future experiences go much smoother. read more

We began our day looking for a new vehicle for my husband. We started at Maserati/Alpha Romeo, Land Rover, Porche, BMW and a few other high end dealerships - where believe it or not we were completely ignored at some of those dealerships entirely. It was quite refreshing to enter Lockhart and be greeted, offered assistance immediately, AND have a thoroughly knowledgeable salesman. We dealt with Matt Mustafa who clearly knew his products and was courteous and willing to help us determine what vehicle we wanted. He spent the rest of the day with us where my husband got a wonderful deal on a beautiful Escalade. Their showroom was warm and inviting where they even offered snacks for their customers. I can't say how much we truly appreciated the wonderful car buying experience. Enough that we already plan to buy our teenage daughter a Cadillac after being educated on the benefits of teen safety features they offer. Yes - the $300 fee is annoying - but I've always had dealerships have some kind of fee like this as they make so little money anymore. I definitely want them to stay in business so I am ok with this so long as it is transparent and honest which it was. I also was allowed to put $3000 on a credit card of our down payment which made me very happy as I will use the rewards. I've never had a dealership allow me to use more than $500 so I was pretty pleased with this. Alternatively they offered to let me do more but at my cost which I think is fair. I don't think a lot of people realize that credit card issuers charge 3-5% for the use of credit cards to the retailer. In conclusion- we have purchased many vehicles and even shopped here previously for another purchase. We have always been treated extraordinary well and truly ENJOYED buying our car today. Sells person never called back after running credit and getting approval sold the car that I was working the deal on and offered me a different vehicle. One of the worst experiences that I've every had dealing with a car dealership. I had put a hold on a vehicle and filled out the paperwork after two days without a callback. I guess since I wasn't buying a 60,000 new car I wasn't important enough to do business with this company. read more

Bad service. Do not use if trying to appraise a diesel. They will abuse it before they appraise it. I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 I wanted an appraisal on and the salesman didn't know it had a wait to start which was fine because not a lot of people know that so I excused that then he brought his manager out to look at it. Told the manager there was a wait to start and the manager just disregarded it, did not let the grid heaters cycle whatsoever and just started it up. Then proceeded to floor the engine and constantly rev it as well as redline it for a good 15 seconds after only letting it idle for not even 5 seconds. Everyone with a diesel knows you don't do this because it can cause problems with the engine. I told him not to do that and he responded with "why?" and I told him that even though it is fairly warm out (25-30 degrees) that it is an older Cummins and you can not just floor it and rev it without letting it idle for a bit because it causes engine wear. He disregarded it and said well you drove it here so it must be warm which is somewhat true but it was sitting for a good 5 minutes but a diesel does not warm its engine till it is under load and it does have low battery and needs a new grid heater as well as low oil and slow oil getting to the engine you should wait at least 30 seconds to fully circulate the oil. I told him you don't do that it's not good for the vehicle and he was abusing my Cummins before he even appraised it. He looked at me and just said I don't want it. Which was fine by me after how he treated myself and my vehicle. I was looking to sell this truck to a reliable dealer who will take care of it and sell it to the right person due to the fact that upkeep had become to expensive for me and I knew it was time to pass it on to someone who could take better care of it. He just disregarded my wishes and then walked away like I wasn't a customer who was looking to get an appraisal. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone getting an appraisal on a trade in or an instant cash offer from KBB. They don't even have a diesel mechanic and are not even equipped nor have the knowledge to treat a diesel the right way. read more

I unfortunately purchased a CPO Cadillac CTS from Lockhart Cadillac in Fishers IN. Within 4 days and 250 miles, I found out the car had two bent front rims. I noticed the alignment was off before I took delivery and they adjusted that while I was signing paperwork. The business manager offered me the extended warranty for rims and tires 4 different times, I guess he was trying to tell me something. I did not hit any small pot hole that was 6 feet wide and had no effect on the rear wheels while driving as they are alleging. It appears, the CPO process at Lockhart is severely lacking or they were taking advantage from someone from out of town. I am extremely worried about what else Lockhart "missed" on this vehicle during the certification process. I messed up but I would recommend having an independent party inspect any car you are considering from Lockhart or better yet avoid them entirely. Be careful! read more

Rip off? Feels like it. Brought my car to Lockhart's service department two (2) times. The first time they rotated the tires, oil change Etc. Picked up the car. Got on the highway for a 5 1/2 hour drive. When the speedometer hit 62 the entire car began to shake. Speed limit is 70 most of the way to my destination. It shook so badly it felt like my arms and legs where numb. I called and the service manager Doug told me to bring it in when I returned the next day. (That's 1300 miles later). I did. The back right WHEEL was bent so badly (after I had the tires rotated) that the car needed a new $900 wheel! We thought that the service department had done the damage, but we just paid it. HOWEVER NOW I dropped my car off this past Monday, to fix the front left lamp, oil change Etc. When I locked my car last night the horn sounded, it sounds like a golf cart horn!!! Called and spoke to Darryl in service who told me 'well, sweetheart, sounds like your horn went out' - $350 to fix it! Spoke with the service manager Doug after that, and asked if he thought it was a bit odd that 100% of the time I brought my car in for service, it needed hundreds of dollars more in repair? His response - can I se make an appointment for you? Not going here again!!!! And if you were smart? You wouldn't either. SCAM !!!!!!!!!! read more

I live in Illinois but travel through Indianapolis a few times a year. I saw the car I wanted, a gently used CTS V-sport, in Lockhart's internet ad, so the day after Christmas when I was driving through Indianapolis, I stopped in and bought the car with very little haggling because it seemed they were proposing a sweet deal. In response to a direct question (I have the text) these guys misrepresented the tire and wheel package on the car, telling me I was getting a 19 inch wheels, all season radials--a $2.5K dealer installed option. What I actually got was 18 inch wheels, summer tires. Not only was the deal no longer sweet, but summer tires on a RWD car will get you killed in a Midwest winter, so I had no choice but to put some all-seasons on those wheels as soon as I discovered the problem. When I asked the dealership via e-mail and a followup letter, to discuss a price adjustment I didn't get even a "no" for an answer. Rather, I was ignored. I was also ignored when I requested that this dealership send me an owners manual, which one would think would have been in the glove compartment, but wasn't. It appears from the reviews here and elsewhere that Lockhart takes care of its local customers. But If you are from out of state and are contemplating an internet deal with these guys, BE REAL CAREFUL. They only care about closing the deal and afterword, they act like they don't know you. read more

I purchased my first Cadillac from Lockhart in Indianapolis. It is a used 2013 XTS. My wife drove the car in on 1/9/18 for the 4th oil change. She was planning on a trip to Florida. After the oil change one of the headlights was out and also needed replaced. She was told it would take an additional 2 hours to complete and with a cost of $600.00 also they said they found two rear struts were leaking oil and needed replaced. She did not have the time on this day and left after the oil change. On her way home she googled on her cell phone how to change a headlight on the car. She found it could be done in less than 5 minutes with only a screw driver. I told he something must be wrong and could not be that simple after being told it was a completed procedure. She was correct I am not a mechanic but I took 6 screws out of the air box, remove it and took out the head light under 5 minutes. My car sits in a garage on a very clean floor and there is no sign of oil leakage from the rear struts. My first experience and trust in the service department with Lockhart has not been good. read more

While driving down the interstate my back spoiler completely blew off!! When I took it in they wouldn't take care of it because it was out of warranty. The car is only 3 years old and a spoiler isn't a mileage issue. Never the less, I took it to them on 3:00 of Thursday to get repaired and was told that it would be done Friday. At 2, Tim (very unprofessional) asks me if I have a part for the repair. I said how would I know if I have the part or not. I took it to them to get repaired and they didn't even write down what needed to be ordered. At 4:30 on Friday (before labor day). I called him and asked what was up since it was almost the end of the day and wanted to pick it up. He proceeds to tell me that he had to order that part and now they wouldn't have it done until Tuesday. I said "did you even think about calling me and letting me know". "Well, I took a late lunch and I was going to call you". When..... TERRIBLE PEOPLE AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'll never go there again for anything. You know that feeling when you buy a new car, and the salesperson says "I'll have to run that by my Finance Mgr.", and then they go sit in a room and shoot the s@$# for an hour and leave you sitting in a car dealership bored out of your mind? That's the vibe of the service department here. Doesn't matter if you schedule ahead, doesn't matter if you call and confirm, they won't be ready and will make you sit. The Service Advisors are nice and businesslike, they talk to you for a minute or two, then tell you to sit and wait in the lounge. "But I confirmed a shuttle" or "but you said my car was done?", doesn't matter, go sit. Ok fine, so you go into this dark leather cave and there, instantly, the feeling is back-tons of employees- salespeople, receptionists, car wash guys-all talking to each other, eating complimentary cookies and ignoring customers, and you're stuck waiting. Bored out of your mind, surrounded by indifferent dealership employees, you remember why you hate car dealerships. The mechanics seem good, service advisors are professional, the people friendly-but the lounge is that gross car dealer purgatory that makes you feel like you need a shower. Even though the deal is done, even though the work is under warranty, you just can't wait to get out, and they just seem to want to keep you while they sit and shoot the s@#t read more
