Ordered the filet mignon, 'chef's vegetables', 'rosemary' chicken, 'couscous' and spinach. I got a ten dollar meal that had zero seasoning. The chicken was so dry and tasteless, McDonald's could've done better. The filet had no sear, they oven baked that, too. The broccoli was the 'chefs veggies' and was frozen broccoli reheated in the microwave. There was zero flavor for a $60 order... I'm beyond unimpressed. Update: still haven't been contacted. This was a wonder place with a deck along side the river. Customer service was excellent. We were seated right away. The crab dip appetizer was average but good. I ordered the Jumbolia. It was a healthy portion of very well made food with ample amounts of chicken sausages and shrimp. The sauce and rice was well seasoned. My son got the ribs that he devoured so I assume they were good. My girlfriend got the shrimp scampi which was beautifully presented but turned into a watery mess at the bottom of the plate. The food was ok meaning not the best but it didn't taste bad either. When it comes to the service, it was super slow even just getting the drinks which usually come pretty quickly in many other restaurants. I arrived there at about 5:30 and I didn't get the drinks until an hour later and the appetizers and main course were super late. I finally got the main course at like 8:00. I don't know if the pace was slow because of the pandemic but even if the pace speeds up once the corona virus is over with, my family and I will not return to this place. read more

How have I not discovered this gem before today! We were able to enjoy a view of the water while listening to live music, perfect level of sound so conversations were easy. Fried flounder sandwich was HUGE to say the least side of slaw and side of their buffalo sauce was so yummy! The Cubans was chunked with pork and sliced ham and pickles were just the right amount with the mustard. Seasoned fries to top it off. Not bad but not great either. Stopped in for Saturday afternoon lunch. They were offering their brunch menu until 3pm. As I did not want breakfast, I really did not have as much choice as I would have liked, especially seafood. I ended up getting the Cubano sandwich and DH got the shrimp dinner. I'm always here for a short amount of time. While I'm here I have the corn/crab chowder soup, it's good and hearty. On occasion I will also have the wings, they could be hit or miss not sure why! I have eaten the Tempura shrimp and that's very good. The customer service at the bar is always good . When I visit it's never crowded or understaffed. There is outside seating and the indoor ambience isn't bad. The customer base is unquestionably not the partying type. So if you're counting for a quiet dinner place this may be it. Came in around 5:30 pm today to get a to go order and the bartender, who at least addressed me, waited about five minutes before taking my order, instead of putting my order in right away so it could be prepared while she made drinks and serviced tables. After about a 15 to 20 minute wait, which I'm guessing is standard but it was just fish and chips, then my food sat for 10 minutes after the kitchen prepared it while she repeatedly passed by it. The bar and the kitchen are basically connected and I was standing right there watching it all happen, to the point it almost felt like she was purposely giving me bad service and making me wait, though, I obviously can't verify that. Oddly, a man in the kitchen made a race joke within earshot and eyesight of me, of which all the kitchen staff and waitresses were one race and I was another, and his joke was about my race. As far as the food, the fish and chips were pretty good, though, the fish needed the tater sauce and could've used a bit more seasoning. I'm not one to pull the race card..... ever, really, because I'm not easily offended and everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but this felt weird and the vibe was off. First of all, my bill was mixed up with my friends who were at the table with me and was already charged to our credit cards, which were in the covers with the correct bills. We resolved the issue with the waitress but my credit card was damaged....it was warped, the waitress said it was place over of hot light?? So now I have to make sure it actually works, otherwise I will have to get a new one. Go for lunch because breakfast/brunch is just awful. We've tried over and over for breakfast. It's just not good. Bad coffee, burnt sausage, watery hollandaise, etc. Lunch is great. His shrimp weren't peeled all the way and on top of that it came with just plain chips and watery salsa they didn't even recommend we could get a better side. Unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy that on a cold wintry rainy morning but, the food was great so you can't ask for much more! I can't wait to revisit in the summer! My 1st time going there heard great things about and it was Down right DELICIOUS! The hangover burger was delicious the egg made the burger. Crab cake was full of meat when some places don't put a lot of meat in there. Definitely recommend it, I went during the winter months looking forward to goes back and eating on the deck over looking the water when it warms up. I called on Tuesday, August 16 at 12:38pm to make reservations for 13 people on August 18th at 6:30pm. I was told because it's a group larger than 10 it would need managers approval. My husband and I also stopped by on Tuesday, August 16th around 6:30-6:45pm to verify reservations and to look at the table space. When we arrived on August 18th we were told that they didn't have our reservation but we could sit at the booths in the back or wait for the party to leave. We decided to wait for the party to leave as we were told they should be leaving shortly. I along with the rest of the party waited out by the fire pit for the table to be cleared. A little after 7 I asked the hostess if they could at least pre-bus the tables as some of the people had left and that would give the remaining people at the table an idea that there were other people waiting for the table. She was rude to me the whole time I was at the hostess stand telling me it's not their policy to pre-bus a table. I was a server a long time ago so maybe things have changed since then. Upon going back to the back area the guests that were at that table were in fact leaving and we were able to sit around 7:15. The 45 minutes we were waiting for the table I didn't have a manager or anyone come to me to apologize about the mix up. No one came up to ask if we would like something to drink or an appetizer while we waited. Any time I spoke to someone about the dilemma last night I just got a rude push back comment from the staff. Contacted the restaurant and asked for a call from either the manager/owner and to this date I have not been contacted. Needless to say we will not be going back to Lockside. read more

Visited Chesapeake and wanted to stop for breakfast at a place that welcomed dogs. Five (5) stars to Lockside for allowing Coco to join his family! The food was good, our waitress was nice. Overall a very nice time. The reason I gave this restaurant four (4) stars instead of five (5) is that although the restaurant was water-front, the weeds near our table were so large that we couldn't enjoy our view. I REALLY wish I could give this restaurant 5 stars because I have never had a bad meal here...foodwise, but the service here is so below par that I am afraid I won't be coming back. We came today for brunch and there was only about 6 tables in the entire restaurant...which baffled me because they should be way busier on a Saturday late morning. Again, the restuarant was not busy at all and the food took awhile to come out. During this time our waitress never came over to top off my husbands coffee. It wasnt until we asked for some more coffee and another Mimosa that we got refills. When the food came out I immediately knew that my CYO omelet was not right. I asked the waitress for an omelet with bacon, sauteed spinach, feta cheese, mushroom and onions. My omelet came out with bacon, feta and tomatoes. When I told her that my order was wrong she responded with yes it is. I did not want to wait another 30 minutes for them to remake the omelet so I just asked for her to bring me some sauteed spinach and I would just throw it on top of the omelet...which took another 10 minutes!! They were nice enough to take the omelet off of the bill...which I would have paid for. I really hate to complain but every time I come here the food is wonderful but the service is horrible. HORRIBLE SO DISAPPOINTED Due to dietary restrictions we ordered a wrap without the flour tortilla. We were told that the chef was very particular about presentation and they would not serve our food the way we wanted it. Ok....we'll take it off ourselves. What I got was a crown and sweet tea. The sashimi appetizer was excellent. There was some delay getting our order. People that came in after us were served before us. I had order the " French Quarter", which was supposed to be chicken, shrimp, andouille sausage, onions and red, yellow and orange peppers. What I got was a pasta dish and cream sauce with no peppers at all. Crown drinks at 8.50 each and slow, made up dishes from the kitchen. There is still some work to be done. read more
