We hosted a post-COVID birthday-housewarming party over a holiday weekend and decided to hire Locos Tacos rather than prepare and serve all the food ourselves. We had about 50 guests who all enjoyed the food very much. Let's start with what was pretty great: the pre-event communication with Christian, the business owner, was excellent; the super prompt/punctual arrival of the team on the event date was awesome; the whole set-up (the easy-up, grill, tables, signage, etc., etc.) all looked very clean and professional; and lastly Christian was very personable and friendly while being very quick and efficient. Sounds great so far... there were just a couple things that could have been better. The menu that was agreed upon (and provided in the quote) included chorizo; upon arrival and set-up there was NO chorizo. The other not great issue was the fact that there is a 55 person minimum at $12/person, which is communicated ahead of time, so it is what it is (no problem). But, when the final bill comes they add a sizeable gratuity ($125) to the bill, which is never mentioned anywhere or anytime prior to the bill being delivered. I am not opposed to a gratuity being solicited if it is not negotiated, but it does seem a bit presumptuous to just add it to the final bill. Based upon the planning conversations with the proprietor we budgeted about $700 for tacos, which actually ended up being billed at around $800. Overall, I would recommend Locos Tacos, just be prepared to pay a little more than expected, and if you want the full menu they propose, be sure to let them know in advance! read more

We recently used Locos Tacos for our company picnic and they were so easy to work with. My coworker referred Christian to us. During the planning process, Christian was responsive and called back right away. I was a bit worried when they arrived a bit later than we expected for our event, but his team was so efficient that they were able to set up and serve before our agreed upon service time. Even at the busiest time, the line never got too long and people were served in a timely manner. Throughout the event, Christian himself would come over and check on how everything was going. He was very gracious and easy to work with. They brought carne asada, chicken, carnitas and al pastor tacos. My fave were the chicken and carne asada. Since I had to work the event, I didn't really get to go back to get more tacos, but I really enjoyed the ones that I did have.
