Ordered through doordash, everything was well packaged. It was nice to receive mexican food without beans and rice pouring out the sides of containers and all over the bottom of the bag like a lot of Mexican places I have ordered from before. I liked the variety of salsas to choose from and the inclusion of a small bag of chips with each meal (usually charged extra for the chips at other places). I'm so glad I trusted my fellow yelpers, what a gem! Place was clean, and gave a cozy homey vibes with all their traditional decor. Food was amazing and everything had depths of flavor. The carne asada fries used seasoned fries as a base, had a fresh made guac bursting with a fresh citrus flavor, fresh sour cream and well seasoned asada. My husband said it might be the best carne asada fries he ever had. Their panchito shrimp quesotaco were also great. I especially like they automatically come with consume (some places make you order it separately/pay extra for it). The woman behind the counter (possibly the owner) said her husband is from Mazatlán so the food is in that style (no mayo or mayonnaise based sauces). We had theee taco plate with carnitas, spicy shrimp and chicken tinga AND one PANCHITO QUESADILLA TACO SPICY SHRIMP AND two quesabirria tacos. My husband popped over to order so I can't comment on the inside of the establishment but I do know they were gracious enough to bring our food over to us at the bar since we were playing a league game. She even came with extra chips and tons of salsa. She brought like 5 different kinds and all were very good. One however was SUPER spicy, and I like spicy but I was popping ice cubes to cool my mouth down on this one. The tacos were loaded with lots of meat, definitely didn't skimp out on that which is nice. No fatty or chewy pieces and even without salsa, the meat had a good flavor. Sides of beans, rice and tortillas make this meal gigantic in size. I can eat like a hungry horse and did not finish the beans and rice. Barbara reports that her crunchy carnitas taco was equally delicious. Small salsa self serve bar has all the required various sauces and pickled vegetables. Walking in we were welcomed. The floors, tables and chairs were clean. We ordered Chicken quesadilla Carnitas burrito Chicken enchiladas And let me tell you the food was amazing. I believe it was either the manager or the owner brought our food to go and he was very pleasant. He even brought extra sauce to our car. Wow, I can't believe I haven't made a review about Panchito yet! Their tacos are to die for. Meat super tender and very flavorful, rice, beans, chips, ALL of it YUM! About 6 years ago, I was pregnant with my last child and was at the Maternity ward getting checked up because I had issues with breathing. All was well when they were about to discharge me and my husband promised me we could get Pachito tacos on the way home. It was 40ish minutes before they were to close and Dr comes in and says he wanted to keep me a few more hours for more tests. Boy did I CRY! Food was amazing. We both had 3 street tacos and they were very good and authentic. It's been a long time since I've had tacos with amazing seasoning like these. Usually they can be kind of bland and you really have to put a lot of sauce, but these you could eat plain if you wanted to. The sauces were also really flavorful. There's a little sidebar for any sauce, limes, etc. that you want and you could just grab it yourself. The man at the counter was very friendly, nice, and helpful. The service was insanely fast. Food was nice and hot. It was clean, smelled good, and was overall just a great experience. First here, will absolutely come again when close to the area. My husband ordered the Al pastor burrito, our friends had another burrito and torta, and I had the Panchito shrimp quesadilla. They are lactose intolerant so they requested no cheese. While eating the burrito, our friend noticed small white pieces in the guacamole- turns out the cook likes to add cotija in their guacamole which was the first time we had ever heard of. When brought to the attention of the server/cashier/owner?, he immediately apologized and redid both of their orders with avocado instead of guacamole. If you're lactose intolerant just beware of the guac! Besides chips and salsa, they also give you a little side of frijoles puercos. They were DELICIOUS. Their salsas- some of the best I've had in a while at a Mexican restaurant. They have a few for those that don't do spicy, and a few for us that love spice! And not only were they spicy, but they actually had flavor to them. Chips were also pretty solid. The shrimp quesadilla was on the greasy side, but very good. I felt full after finishing one but shortly after was hungry. I'd do the 3 quesadilla order next time (better value) and share the third if too much. The establishment is on the smaller side, but with a good amount of tables and booths. They were also playing Mexican music that just reminded me of childhood weekend mornings with my parents. It's very unassuming and we've passed this place for years but haven't stopped in until our neighbors told us that they had a great experience at this place. We popped in on a random Thursday night and the place was quiet, the staff greeted us upon entry and immediately took our order. We ordered a burrito with chile verde and a chicken taco. There was a short wait so we opted to grab a drink at the bar on the corner and the staff was so sweet and offered to bring our food to us. The food was good! The service was good! They had a decent salsa bar. PARKING: They have a shared parking lot but you won't have a problem finding a spot. We will be back to try more items! read more

My wife and I dined here early New Years Eve. We were greeted with a warm smile by the kindest gentleman you could ask for in a restaurant owner and host. Wow, Do not come here expecting typical. This is some of the best flavored Mexican food I've tried in this area of Sacramento. Traditional, fresh veggies and salsas. The carnitas were delicious, sweet and salty. The shrimp taco was literally to die for and was the best shrimp tacos I've had point blank period. Amazingly priced. First, the service was amazing! The lady working the counter was so attentive and extremely helpful in answering all our questions since it was everyone's first time eating here. The restaurant is small inside a tiny strip mall but sometimes the best Mexican food are hole in the walls. I got the mini chimichangas which were delicious. The tortillas were nice and crunchy and cooked to perfection. I think the spicy shrimp or chicken were my favorite paired with a creamy cilantro sauce. I wasn't a big fan of their beans or carnitas but I think it was the spices they used to cook them in which is why I didn't give them 5 stars. read more

It was empty when hubby and I arrived. We placed our orders at the counter with Jose (owner). Very nice and friendly, excellent customer service. I had the Chicken Enchiladas w/ salsa verde (enchiladas verdes). It wasn't spicy (at my request). The green sauce had some mild tartness. Had not had my enchiladas served this way with tomatillo... I usually get them with red sauce (which I still prefer) and will most likely keep ordering that way. Jose served us complimentary shrimp street tacos, his specialty. The best part (for me) was the dessert! He gave us a sample of his Flan de Queso. So delicious... I had to get a whole piece to bring home LoL! There are a good amount of parking on a private lot. UYE with Michael, Misty amd May/JR! I chose this place after looking through about 50+ spots on my bookmarks. Boy was this a winna! Upon meeting Jose, the fab owner, I explained the UYE and the head count. He was so nice to put 2 tables together for us. After Michael and I ordered, he introduced us to his specialty, a fried shrimp taco. We both agreed it was amazing as did Misty, May/JR after they later tried theirs. Most of us agreed we would have order just those if we tried it before making our orders! Best shrimp taco I may have ever tried! We got chips, bean dip and got some salsas from the salsa bar. Very good stuff! I got the chix enchiladas and (3) street tacos. Excellent flavors and good portion on the enchiladas. We got a sample of flan from Jose's wife and it was delicioso! Misty got mini churros and flan. Michael got chix fajitas and churros. May/JR both got different enchilada plates. We all loved our food and the shrimp taco! After all my friends left I continued to have a nice chat with the owner Jose who makes his family recipes from the region of Mazatlan. He was patient, cordial and pleasant to converse with. Anytime Iam in the area I will slam on the breaks and pull right in! LOL. This is now my fav Mexican eatery and we all wish they would open a Panchito's in our areas.
