We love panchito! Great salsa bar, chill vibes. Food is really good the burritos are super flavorful and the tacos are delicious and great size. We got a taco plate (pastor, carnitas and shrimp), carne asada burrito, and al pastor burrito this time. Workers are super nice and food comes fast. Al pastor is a 10/10!!! All of the tacos are extremely flavorful honestly and amazing.

What a great find' thanks yelpers for the reviews. The woman behind the counter (possibly the owner) said her husband is from Mazatlán so the food is in that style (no mayo or mayonnaise based sauces). We had theee taco plate with carnitas, spicy shrimp and chicken tinga AND one PANCHITO QUESADILLA TACO SPICY SHRIMP AND two quesabirria tacos. Served with complimentary cup of pork beans, chips and salsa bar. Everything was AMAZING. We also enjoyed agua fresca jamaica and limonada. We are looking forward to our next visit.

my daughter's chicken quesadilla is perfect for kids to handle. 3 Street Tacos Special with chicken and pastor.

Owner recommended 3 Street taco special. Special ambiance, makes you feel like home. Offered my daughter a kids size horchata ; totally won her over. Chips come with spicy bean dip. Love. Tried all the salsa first timers and highly recommend . Service was fantastic fast and kind. Perfect amount of heat to not burn ya. Hubby didn't add any salsa and loved the natural flavors. 100/10

The woman taking our order was friendly, the inside was like a fast food restaurant, nothing fancy. I'm not sure if this is their usual way of cooking carnitas but it was not good. They were not crispy, loaded with fat, and almost not cooked completely. The Birria taco was tasty and the cheese was crispy. The horchata was good.

We were at the bar next door and had a craving for some tacos. My husband popped over to order so I can't comment on the inside of the establishment but I do know they were gracious enough to bring our food over to us at the bar since we were playing a league game. She even came with extra chips and tons of salsa. She brought like 5 different kinds and all were very good. One however was SUPER spicy, and I like spicy but I was popping ice cubes to cool my mouth down on this one. The tacos were loaded with lots of meat, definitely didn't skimp out on that which is nice. No fatty or chewy pieces and even without salsa, the meat had a good flavor. Next time we play at Scoreboard, I'm for sure ordering from here again.

We live nearby and have passed this place for years. Why did we wait so long?? Amazingly good food and even better customer service. Family owned and they truly appreciate your business. Highly recommend.

    Yum!

We had pitchers of margaritas for the table, and I found that they were watery. I did not enjoy mine, so I stuck with water. My water glass was full the whole time, so I was grateful for that. I ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken was prepared and seasoned perfectly. It was really good. My platter had mostly onions and a few peppers, so that was disappointing. I was missing the zucchini and guacamole; I think that would have added to the overall flavor. The corn tortillas were stale, so that was yuck. I have read that they are homemade (?) If they were homemade, ours were made the day before. They were definitely not fresh. People in our group ordered all kinds of entrees, including tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, and seemed to enjoy everything. Some enjoyed the fried ice cream and flan for dessert, too. Again, this is a great place for a group. If you are looking for good food, I might keep looking.

Complimentary corn tortilla chips, salsa, and refried bean dip with cheese. I loved the REFRIED BEAN DIP! I ordered the Steak a la Chicana. I didn't read or listen carefully enough that the skirt steak with sauteed onions and bell peppers are covered in Spanish sauce. The sauce is actually quite tasty with a little kick. I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. Choice of beans: refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans. I suspect refried beans is the tastiest option. El Tapatio would be a great gathering place for friends and family. It's located on Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights near See's Candies and other restaurants.

The prices felt high for the quality and portions received. I ordered a carne asada burrito (rice, beans, meat, Pico, cheese) for $14.50. While the burrito was large, it was mostly rice and beans, and the carne asada itself was disappointing. The texture was closer to ground beef than the grilled steak flavor and consistency I was expecting. My husband ordered the three street taco plate with rice and beans for $16.50, choosing carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas. He had similar thoughts about the carne asada, and felt that both the al pastor and carnitas lacked seasoning and overall flavor. He also purchased a canned soda for $2.50, which added to what already felt like a pricey meal. I understand that restaurant costs have increased over the years, and I don't mind paying more when the food quality matches the price. However, between the lack of air conditioning, the mid food, and the overall value, we didn't feel the experience justified the cost. The service was friendly, which we appreciated, but with so many other local Mexican restaurants offering more flavorful food at similar price points, we don't see ourselves returning.
