I feel like these are just too expensive for the quality. I really liked the main fabric - it has a nice look and texture - but once you add the privacy panel, it feels like a completely different product. The panel is a thin, cheap polyester material. The cream color hides it a bit, but the white makes the low quality really noticeable. You can clearly see the synthetic sheen of the liner from a distance, which is disappointing since we chose these for a sidewalk-facing bay window in our San Francisco Painted Lady. Because they're custom, we can't return them, so we'll have to find our own way to disguise the liner. Overall, they look fine from the inside, but the price and finish don't match the quality I expected, and I wouldn't recommend getting one with a liner if you will be able to see the curtains from the outside. read more

I am an interior designer by trade. I deal with multiple vendors on a daily basis. This is by far the WORST company when it comes to customer service. We have issues with two roman shades we purchased from Loft. The first issue was whenever we pulled the strings to lower a shade the motor would come flying out. So every time we used the shade we would have to get a ladder to fix it. Rather than just replacing the faulty shade they asked us to take it off the window and return it to them. After explaining how much of an inconvenience this was due to their faulty product they suggested they would have a local tech come out to fix it. Cool. Well they couldn't find a tech in our area so they offered to fly here for the day to fix it. A commendable offer but we, admittedly did not take them up on their offer because we felt it was too extreme. That's on us. They sent the part in the mail with a link to a youtube video saying there "should" be instructions in here on how to repair it. I "should" have taken them up on their flight to come and fix it themselves. Fast forward a couple months and another shade breaks. This time when you pull the cord the strings are so taught it feels like they are going to snap. When we approach Loft they blame it on us saying they have NEVER had issues with their shades before - pretty lofty statement, no pun intended. They blame the issues on us and say the only way they can fix the situation is if we take the shade down, find a box it will fit in and ship it back. In the meantime we are left with no window treatments (necessary for kids) and a major inconvenience. All after being blamed for the problem because they have "never" had issues before. His tone is rude and condescending. We asked to speak to the manager or boss of Justin (manager of customer service) and he said the owners will not deal with customer related issues. What kind of owner doesn't get on the phone or write an email to an unhappy customer? Issues happen all of the time, it's how you address the issue that matters. Their excuse is their profit margins are too thin to correctly address the issue without inconveniencing the customer. If this is the case there should be a disclaimer on their website. You get what you pay for. Discounted product, discounted service. read more
