Our Sunday meal out was spent at Logan's Roadhouse with friends. Service was slow, in all phases, from getting drinks to paying our bills. Food was Ok but not very exciting, nor overly healthily compared to many of the newer restaurants in the area. My prime rib, was good, but overly salty. I was able to take it home for another meal. Well, it's Logan's. You know what to expect. The stakes are good. I'm sure I could find better, but not at this price. I'm a little embarrassed that I forgot to take pictures of the food. The service was good. A little slow, but that seemed to be the kitchen. As far as Ambiance, well it seems that using the word Ambiance to describe Logan's is silly. Terrible Manager Kristeena, Ghost Town for a reason. We went out to celebrate as a family and waited quite a long time to be greeted, even though the place was very empty and the staff walked by a few times. We were a bit concerned about how the service was going to be if the restaurant was that slow. But we were eventually seated and we were pleasantly surprised at how kind and helpful the two waitresses were that helped us.  However...we were shocked to find the $6.99 kids burger was a literal quarter of a normal size burger (you could see how it was a 1/4 cut from a burger) and the bun was smaller than their free rolls. When we voiced concern about how expensive the kids' meal was for such a small portion, the waitresses agreed and they went to talk to the manager.  They came back to say that they were going to comp the kids' meal.  They asked if we wanted to order another meal, to which we said no, and then they asked if we wanted another side for our son.  We said "let's see" as we wanted to see if he'd be full before ordering more food. When we got the check, we found that the kids' burger had not been removed, and we were then told that it would have only been comped IF we had ordered something else, which we would have done. After talking to the waitress, Kristeena Smith-Jackson, the Service and Guest Relations Manager came out and asked us, "How can I help you?"  We explained what the waitresses had told us, but her demeanor was abrasive and rude, and she refused to honor what we were told. Before and after her coming out to our table, we could hear her yelling in the kitchen, at our waitresses.  It was completely unprofessional and sounded like verbal abuse. One of the waitresses came back and apologized, then gave us two coupons for a future visit ($10 off a $40 purchase and a free entree with $25 purchase).  I have no interest in going back to Logan's again, at least at that location, which is very sad because we have always enjoyed that restaurant and location. The place was a complete ghost town while we were there between 7:40 and 9:00, and if that's the way the manager usually conducts herself, perhaps there's an obvious reason the place was so empty. read more

I ordered my steak med. It came out like a dryed out hockey puck. The rest of our food was bland. It's like no one cared. The waitress was too busy talking with her vo workers in the room right behind where we were sitting (unused dining area). Our food sat in the window gor a while and it took us over 15 minutes to get our check as the waitress was to busy talking to co workers.i will not go back there again. I'm so disappointed. Every. Time. We only do carry out and our order is inaccurate 100% of the time. We get the same three things every time and it's a missing salad, or the wrong salad, or missing sides, or a missing entree all together! We're done. My husband is waiting for them to remake two entrees. After calling to report the error, he gets there and "it'll be about 30 minutes." Terrible service! Don't come here if you have a large party. They don't take large parties and will turn you away because they don't have room for you. We were out on the waitlist then told they couldn't serve us. Now I don't post this lightly as Logan's has been my favorite restaurant since I was little. I just do not recommend this location. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A LARGE PARTY. They refused to open the sun room but yet were taking other walk ins. They said at least another hour because the kitchen was a little behind. After waiting 30 more minutes they said they were not seating anyone for a hour. I had been seeing this chain of restaurants and really wanted to try it. We ended up searching for something to eat after 9 p.m. in a new city, with a tentative hotel reservation. It was nice that buckets of peanuts were made available to guests. We sat down at the bar because the main dining area was closed. We ordered the appetizer trio and I found the buffalo wings really too spicy. I also ordered the New York steak. Despite requesting "medium rare," it was pretty cooked through. It was also overly salty. That said, the food quality seems decent and the prices are comparable to a Chili's or Applebee's, which is just across the parking lot. Twice in the past week our order was incorrect. We order for pick up. As a brittle diabetic my orders are very simple and direct. I ordered a chopped steak, my carb and vegetable, hubby got a 12 oz ribeye baked potato and broccoli. When they brought out the order it was almost $70.00. Hubby questioned the amount and looked at the receipt and there was a prime rib dinner we Didn't order and some other dinner. They took the order back and went to remove the orders we did not order. They brought it back hubby did not check the order And brought it home. I did not have my veggies had two orders of baked apples. No veggies. When I called later manager was like oh well. We have eaten here for years. Guess what we will not be going back. I realize everything is tough with COVID19 right now. But the one thing they need to stay in business is Customer Service. A chain restaurant that does do steak quite well. Our local restaurant has pleasant servers and is almost always busy for dinner. Steak is safe. Sides are good. Other items can be hit or miss. The rolls that come as standard issue are done well. The menu changes enough that it makes for interesting visits but often it feels a bit too expansive. We return when we want steak. The poor, unfortunate souls at this Logan's Roadhouse just can NOT do takeout. They will screw it up 100% of the time, guaranteed! The food that you do get is decent most of the time, thus my repeated attempts to order dinner from them. Plus it is C L O S E!!! (If you're ordering on DoorDash, there is a slider restaurant, I forget the name, may very well be "Roadies", to be honest, anyway, you can order from that is actually Logan's, and there are some interesting tweaks to the food choices and a little bites preferable pricing on some things, specifically the appetizers. Then there is also Embers BBQ, which is also Logan's, that has some unique items you can not get from Logan's, or the other burger place, "Roadies", possibly. I can recommend the things I've ordered from the "Roadies" place, and I have not tried anything from the Embers menu. Oddly, I have gotten the Logan's rolls each time I've ordered from Roadies... and yet it's so difficult to get them even if you order them separately from Logan's... PUZZLER! LOL) Here are a few tips, if you order a baked potato, please have at your house: butter and sour cream, or whatever you would like on your baked potato (if you are lucky enough to get one when you order it!!) Do not assume you will get rolls, even if you specifically add on some extras to your order. Do not leave this as your only dessert option, it is highly unlikely the dessert will be in there!! Do not tell your child/sig. other that you will order them a beverage, it will arrive 25% of the time, so maybe pretend it's a surprise for them if you do happen to get a beverage!! The steaks are hit or miss on temp. I would guess at approximately 25% of the time you might get your steak to the temp you have ordered it, but to be fair, standing time can quickly affect the finished product. Do not order the filet, unless maybe you order it super rare and finish it yourself, because they just can't seem to get those right. The chicken breast is actually pretty good 100% of the time. The salmon has been very good, seasoned well, cooked about perfectly 3 out of the 4 times we have ordered it. If you can get them to include the cheesecake, I do recommend it, I'm a fan! It's just difficult to get them to put it in the bag!!! The roadies sliders are pretty tasty, I order that for the kids and/or the dog at times and I may have stolen a bite or 2 in the past! OH! And do not count on receiving "waffle fries" if you order those as a side, the past 3 times we ordered that as a side they were "regular" fries, and WOW can that be disappointing if you're 10 or under... imagine with me, if you will, the disappointed and somewhat accusatory look one might receive from someone around the age of, say, 8, when the dinner order does not have the beverage, waffle fries OR cheesecake upon the unpacking... that is just a very very very unforgettable (and possibly somewhat unnerving) face you will be looking at for the duration of the evening.... and possibly in days to come... just sayin' Since this is already extremely long, I will only include the misadventures of this particular evening!! This evening we ordered 2 "Family Meals", the BBQ pork, and the Chicken Breast meals, 6 rolls, 6 "take and bake" cinnamon rolls. We did not receive the 4 baked potatoes with the chicken breast meal, (and we were certainly not expecting any butter or sour cream as we are old pros at this now!). We did not receive the 4 orders of broccoli with the BBQ pork meal. We also did not get any BBQ sauce with the pork, I'm assuming they normally include the BBQ sauce since we got it the previous 2 times. (That's OK, the last time we didn't get the rolls we ordered and that was waaay more unfortunate, since I usually have some BBQ sauce in the pantry as I did this evening. Rolls are not as easy to come by around here!!) We did not order any drinks or cheesecake as we would have liked to, because the neither of those are ever with the order when it arrives... I am kind of looking forward to putting these cinnamon rolls in the oven later, hopefully I can use my vast years of baking experience to guesstimate the oven temperature, and duration, as there are, of course, no instructions sent along with the "take and bake" cinnamon rolls. Mother's Day was absolutely horrible. The staff and manager were terrible. This location needs help. It took 15 minutes to even track down a waitress to get drinks, then the waitress was totally unprofessional as well as the manager. Meals were missing items, salads never brought out ahead of dinner.. Nobody came back to check if anything was needed etc. etc. Will never visit the Gaines township location or possibly any again. I must say, my wife and I joke every time we order take out from here, "rolling the dice tonight!". I used to get angry at how often it's wrong, but now we just accept and expect it. Definitely Russian Roulette on if what's forgotten is important. Still, I will say the good you do receive is usually pretty tasty. I feel bad for the people employees here, since they are clearly understaffed at the moment. The issues above are 10 years in the making so it's not a new issue, but I don't want to reject the few employees they do have on hand. Very disappointed. Ordered take away this evening for supper. Teriyaki Chicken & Sweet Potato Fries. The chicken was advertised on the menu as being on a bed of rice pilaf... Not so. When opening my take away the so called pilaf was a little sprinkle on the side and the fries had been thrown on top of the chicken not put in a separate container. I think this restaurant is fine for an average meal out. It's a basic steak house with basic steakhouse menu offerings. My family dined here on a Saturday night. We called aead and found out there was a 25 minute wait. Since we were bringing 3 hanger kids in, I asked if we could put our name in at that moment. We did, and by the time we got there we were able to walk right in and get seated right away! Our Hostess, Emily, very sweet and greeted us with a smile. Our waitress, Suzanne, was also very kind and attentive. I asked for a gluten-free menu- she hasn't eaten almost seeming like she didn't quite know where it was. The hostess and it up bringing us the gluten free menu. Gluten-free offerings at Logan's Roadhouse are ok- one page one sided. However, many of their entrees are gluten free so there is a variety to choose from. I had everything but salad. It was good. Not exceptional, but good. At some point in the evening while we were in the middle of eating our entrees Kama my water ran out. Without anything to drink for about 5 to 10 minutes. I could grab conquer all who was in the area and asked if I could get some more water, and her response to me was, "oh, I'm not a server." Uuummmm, ok. A few minutes later Suzanne did come back to resole on water pods I've never had customer service like that before when I asked for something as basic as water. Either way, I will be back at Logan's. I have ate here twice this week and had both a so-so and 1/2 way decent meal. Going to try a plus and minus approach here: !Minus: Carefully read the description for each steak before ordering - some steaks are clearly labeled as USDA Choice, and some are intentionally missing the word "Choice" - for example the fillet, ribeye and prime rib. This is a very sneaky way to pass off select grade meat. (And trust me the tenderloin tastes like it..) I would not recommend anything that is not clearly labeled USDA choice. Plus: The fresh rolls are quite delicious. The wood fire adds nice flavor and char. Minus: Both times I was here the steak was cooked improperly. The first time my fillet was bloody red rare when I ordered it medium rare and the second time my new york strip ordered medium came out perfectly medium rare. You do the math. Oh and by the way I myself am a grill cook of 10 years so I think I know how to tell steak doneness... All in all an ok meal for a chain restaurant, I think they should be more forthcoming about (hiding) the grades of meat on certain steaks, but sadly many major chain restaurants do the same. Last Sunday we celebrated EasterSunday. Having never thought about the idea, it was our first Logan's Easter Feast. We ordered the prime rib. Delicious! Everything was ready at time of pick up & no missing items. Meal included 4lb prime rib roast, salad, dinner rolls & 2 sides & dessert for $100. (Other meat choices were also available at various prices). Meal portions were for 6-8 persons. But there was enough leftovers to feed four the following day. I am pleased and impressed by the quality, value & attention to detail that this meal included; as well as creating such a feast on a holiday!! Kudos Logan's & team members!! Logan's is just an all around solid joint. They have food and they have drinks. Service was great and the food was good. One of the few places that have a Saturday Happy Hour. We enjoyed some discounted appetizers and drinks and left happy. No complaints here. We stopped in for a go to spot our way to a wedding reception. Server forgot all condiments which are apparently unsafe to be left on the tables now. Did not offer drink refills. Food was terrible. I ordered ribs and the sides were wrong. They are seating too many people, the servers can't keep up and everyone has a poor dining experience. The wait time for everything is excessive. The steaks were cooked properly, but they came out before the salads. The manager was too busy to come to the table. All I really wanted at this point was to have the appetizer comped. I recommend shutting down a section or two of the restaurant. Perhaps appetizers only at the bar so the poor bartender has a remote chance of keeping up!
