Great food! I ordered a burger from here and it had to have been one of the best I've had. Would recommend!

For all items, slow service was our only issue. As an example, my wife ordered a margarita and we were nearly done with our meal when it finally arrived. Like most places, this most likely is server related as opposed to a general condition. We will still try this place again. My ribs were excellent, kids loved their meals. Well it was a great meal at Caledonia branns, this location has a salad bar that is super, fresh lettuce(s) fresh cherry tomatoes, grilled sliced chicken, and a lot more including soup, today was lasagna soup day and I couldn't get enough Oh yeah I bought a double rack of ribs and they are delicious, why a double? Some for later The brews were great on tap with 3-6 happy hour and best of all the service was great and she was attentive too So you hungry, wanna watch a game, well I don't believe you can beat the location of branns. Branns was a good experience each time we have gone. The drinks are generous so get an appetizer. The food is great, they still make a great steak, and other food comes out fresh, quick and cooked well. The ambiance is generally loud and happy. And the service can be quite slow but i attribute that to how busy are. It's worth the trip. read more

Service was terrible today. Good not much better. We each got sizzler salad and potato. Steak to be medium. Hubbys was fine but mine was raw. Waitress never checked on us after deliver. Had to ask another waitress to bring it back to cook longer. Was brought back out from other waitress and it was tough and overcooked. Couldn't eat it. Ate the potato and salad but noticed salad was missing ingredients too! Very disappointed as we come here about once a month and haven't had this poor of service or meal. Asked to speak to manager, he came out and we let him know what we ran into and also still don't have bill after we sat for 15 minutes. Food tasted great, but first time in my life I've eaten a full entree at a restaurant and said "I'm still hungry" , went home, and made more food. This place use to have a "Huge Burger" on the lunch menu, now a prime rib dinner doesn't feed a normal sized adult. I ordered the prime rib, which was cooked as I requested but included a 3"x4"x.75" rectangle of solid fat...not marble...solid fat. The entire lip was a slab of fat. Literally half of the steak was a block of fat. Ed Norton would have made soap out of it in fight club. I have seen this much gristle and fat on a steak since John Candy ate the ole 96er. The staff could have cared less that they sold a steak that was 50% beef lard...I was guilt tripped for asking for horse radish, let alone asking for a different cut of meat. if you eat here, do yourself a favor and get your order ready on the mcdonalds app. read more

Solid spot to go for a quick and tasty meal, especially with their drive thru order and pick up window. I usually always order their wings as it's always such a tasty meal. Their honey bbq is solid and recently tried the bang bang flavor too which is great but my favorite is the dirty ranch (Parmesan garlic is my least favorite). They always douse their wings in sauce! This rating is almost 100% due to our server Hailey U. We came during lunch rush hour and sat on the bar side. It quickly became apparent that the side we chose was being handled by one women. She had at least 4 tables with groups of 5 and 6 tables of 2 and 3 plus a few folks sitting at the bar. Despite being understaffed she busted her butt to keep things moving as well as bussing her own tables bringing out food refilling drinks and ringing up checks she never stopped smiling. We were impressed with her work ethic and absolutely appreciate what she did. Thankfully we were not the only ones who noticed I over heard a few tables around us talk about how hard she was working and still taking care of all of us efficiently. Food wise that was delicious I had the white chicken chili and Turkey sandwich which was cooked to perfection the bread was buttered and crispy and the half sandwich was nice and thick. The soup prolly the best restaurant white chicken chili I've had in ages. Great spices not to much heat just enjoy to say hey I'm not a bland soup!!! Downfalls the restaurant was a bit dirty our menus were sticky and food stuck to them the bathroom wasn't clean and you could see dust and cobwebs on the TVs. read more

Not quite as good as it use to be.... Last 3 times I've been. "I really don't make a fuss" There has been problems with the food. Shortcuts or attention. The wings have come out very dry inside" like fridge dried" as if they were pre cooked days before then reheated and sauced..... couldn't get past 2. That's a shortcut effect. Another was 3 like steaks ordered All med rare- waited way longer then normal. 2 come out dry and we'll done and 1 came out perfect and sizzling. "Attention " I always go in before it's busy. This would be a great spot to open a "good" restaurant, I ordered the Comfort Ribs special which comes with tiny corn on the cob and mashed potatoes with gravy. As always the ribs were good. The mashed potatoes were sour tasting and more of a peanut butter color than white..almost as dark as the gravy. The corn was in the steam table way to long and a bit mushy. Sometimes this place is good and others it is not. This experience was for takeout. I could no examine the food before I paid and left because the bag was tied shut. Lesson learned. Decided to go out in the snow storm for dinner instead of staying in and preparing dinner ourselves. Should've not second guessed ourselves and stayed home. We were greeted and seated immediately. We sat in the bar. Wasn't busy at all. Hailey greeted us and took our drink order. Delivered it quickly. We asked for a few moments to go over the menu. Hailey left. We were there about 6:30pm. Must have been close to the restaurant closing because it happened to be social hour for employees at the bar occupying our servers time. What felt like an hour (15 minutes later) Hailey returns and takes our order. Brings us some rolls. The salad my wife ordered was brought out. The lettuce was hard and brown and had bacon so uncooked, I don't think the pig would have eaten it. Now we wait for a break in social hour to get over before Hailey returns. She snatches up the poorly made salad and has it remade. It appeared they just picked the bad off and added new when it returned. I ordered a chicken and steak combo. The best part of my meal was the loaded mashed potatoes. I know they say chew your food 30 times before swallowing, but damn! Worst sirloin ever. Chicken was also just meh. Set my plate to the side. Hailey came and cleared our plates. Never a "How was everything?" nor did I offer my disgust. Just wanted to pay and go to Taco Bell and get some food. Haven't been to this Brann'a before and decided since we were out taking a cruise in the corvette, that we would go here and give it a try. Glad we did. My wife ordered the streak, broccoli, and mashed potatoes and gravy. She didn't care for the spices and the steak was a little dry, but That happens a decent amount when you order it well done. I ate half of it and I liked the seasoning. I didn't even have A1 with it. I got the pound of ribs, broccoli, and mashed potatoes and gravy. All were very good. Ribs were excellent. BBQ had a really nice taste to it. Fall off the bones. Small wait staff were on top off it. Didn't have to wait for anything. A very good dinner. I had a wonderful experience. The building was really nice, looks vibrant. The inside is light and airy, very nice. There are lots of TV's all around. I was waited on by a nice pleasant guy who got my order right in. I got ribs and Wings with honey bbq sauce. Fries and Mashed potatoes. The wings came out wickedly fast and were very good. The ribs came out in a very artistic way on a nice large square white plate. I really liked the layout. The ribs were fantastic. You picked up a bone and the meat just slid right off of them. The meat was very tender and juicy and mmmmmm yummy. The fies and mashed potatoes were very good also. Not everything was perfect there was 2 small hiccups. 1 the pop I ordered the syrup was out but the waiter had that fixed lickity split. The 2nd thing was he forgot my rolls. I didn't even notice tell my meal was done and I was stuffed. No big deal. I had plenty of food left and ate it the next day. Still great. Overall I'd say 4.75 stars! read more

And please ensure food is not garnished with human DNA prior to serving. It's been about three years since the last time I was at Brann's. I can say it will be longer than that before I go back. I ordered a small basket of Onion Rings (not on the menu). There were about 13 rings in the basket. The bill came and the snotty little bartender decided to charge me $8.99. Now mind you the Brann's burger (the last time here it was as juicy as a hockey puck) with fries is $8.99. Substitute onion rings for $1.99 more. So I figured it would be about $4.99 not nine dollars. Save your money and go south to Middleville to a restaurant called Red's. Better burger and for $1 more you get a Brann's size side of onion rings. I will be sharing my experience with everyone I can. Rest in peace Brann's. read more

Picture it: the quintessential hipster foodie millennial types vs. the baby boomer meat and potato types trying to decide on where to eat together. After my restaurants suggestions were deemed too expensive, too far to walk for parking, and too weird (they saw thru the Pho place I attempted to sell as a simple soup shop, and predictably shot it down), we were left with their choice of Brann's, located in a strip mall in Caledonia. So away we go to Brann's in Caledonia. I think there was a coupon involved as well. Or at least the promise of a special. And value is was- the prime rib my father in law got came with a large salad, a side and dinner rolls. My mother in law got a veggie skew, mashed potato sand chicken breast. Both of my in laws are amazing thinking up complaints about things, so they naturally found things wrong with the meal, however in this case, the chicken did appear dry and the prime rib was fattier then one should have to wrestle with. As a vegetarian, knowing I was in for a limited menu, I ate before I came, and just had the soup of the day, broccoli cheese.... er... I mean... Velveeta and broccoli. Because that's what it tasted like. My husband said his wings were dry, lukewarm, and the sauce wasn't great. So yeah, we didn't love this meal but I hope I earned some good karma points for visiting here for my inlaws. read more

Foods good but poor customer service and advertisement. Google maps says 11am open and upon arrival of the restaurant the opening times advertised on the building itself says 11am as well. Walked in at 3pm today because we were at a basketball tournament in town. 3 tables had customers in the whole restaurant. Had multiple employees look at me and my family standing at the door and ignored us and walked in the back of the house. After 8 minutes we assumed it was "seat yourselves" so we grabbed menus and did so. We sat at the table while servers looked at us and continued to not acknowledge us. We decided to leave and go to Uccello's down the street, where we were immediately greeted sat and promptly served. Worst Brann's experience in 25 years. This has become a family favorite since opening in Caledonia. I went there only occasionally before that. Good extensive menu with all the favorites. Wings, burgers and sandwiches, of course, and their specialty, sizzler steaks. But try some other stuff, too. The Loaded Baked Potato soup and Lobster Bisque are really tasty. read more

The food is alright. It's a chain, so most of the stuff seems like it's just thrown from the freezer into a fryer. The burgers and wings are pretty good, though I'll never get another steak here. They always taste like more gristle than meat to me. My friend loves their broccoli cheese soup, that's really the only reason I go there anymore. I'm always told that they'll bring us endless dinner rolls, we're lucky if we get a first serving of them. I have got to say I have been very impressed with every visit. Not just to this location but all the Brann's locations. The place is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the food is always good. The beer selection is also good at the moment I am sitting down with an Atwater Java Vanilla Porter. They also have plenty of TV's in view to watch the game. One note that was disappointing, I got the Parmesan Garlic Boneless Wings there was very little sauce. I would say there was maybe 30% sauce coverage and not much on the plate, basically I had dry wings. I did ask for an extra cup of sauce and it was brought out. read more

Domestic: of, relating to, or originating within a country and especially one's own country (Merriam-Webster). So basically made in USA is or should be considered domestic! Now I like saving money as well as the next guy (not that I would ever buy that piss, but that's not the point), but I'm also a pretty patriotic guy. Services was awful, server was unable to answer basic menu questions and forgot one of the sides with our meals. The food was also not good. Steaks were not cooked properly, had lots of tendons throughout and was really hard to chew. The bbq sausage Mac was very greasy and had so much bbq sauce that it wasn't edible. This steakhouse apparently doesn't know how to measure a steak. We've had issues in the past, but to try again to see if things improved We ordered the 8 oz. Sirloin, one medium, one medium rare. The medium was more like medium Well. The medium mare was in the well done side of medium well. We sent the medium rare back and it came out as a hastily cooked rare, with a well cooked outer 1/4 inch, and a dark red center. Both stakes were over seasoned with the seasoning salt they serve on the table, detracting from the taste. And to make things worse the was no char that one would expect from a properly prepared steak. It's like it was thrown on a low-med heat flat top, and left to overcook. This is probably the last time we go to get steaks there. read more

Branns in general - great budget steakhouse. This location though, I've just never been impressed with. I'm not sure if it's difficulty getting experienced staff, keeping it or maybe I just keep visiting on the wrong days. I've tried 4 times over 3 years though and every time has been a flop. The quality of the steaks is low. Very fatty. Rarely cooked correctly. Sometimes it's overdone, sometimes it's underdone. Sending it back usually yields a slight improvement, but the quality is still usually off. I want to love having a location this close, but they just aren't living up to the usual standards as far as I can see. read more
