Took my mother in her wheelchair to lunch on a Wed at this location. She wanted steak. Location was not busy, there was handicapped parking available, and we were seated reasonably quick. From there, things got sketchy. Apparently our server, #103 (no name on receipt) had just arrived for her shift, because it took several minutes for her to greet us, and then it was to say she'd be there in a minute. Our drinks were ordered but again, took a minute to arrive. Mother had the 7oz filet with baked potato, extra butter. It was to arrive med rare but arrived closer to med well. Oh, and no extra butter - we asked and did receive it from another server nearby. I ordered the nachos as an entree, with a side of potato soup. The soup was very good, and the nachos were huge and very tasty. The soup and nachos give it the 2 stars. Server was fairly absent during the meal. Check arrived when requested - after server reappeared. And as I'm writing this review, I realize why the bill was over $70 - I was charged for someone else's Cobb Steak Salad. (I should review my bill, but by this point my wheelchair bound mother was ready to go so I just handed her my card.) I set up an account to order a dinner to go on 3/30/26 at 6 pm I had 2 $50 gift cards and tried to enter them numerous times and it would not accept them. We checked on a website on the gift card and it verified that it was $50. I decided to put the total on my credit card and go to the restaurant and surely they would fix this problem but no, once it was paid, the "manager" said, it could not be corrected. I just walked out with my food and my useless gift card. They told me I could go back in the daytime and use it for another meal I guess and my gift card would work then. I absolutely do not recommend Logan's Roadhouse at 2315 Beltline Road in Decatur AL. I am on a business trip in Decatur and I had delivered to my hotel today, a 16 ounce signature ribeye, medium along with sides. I will post a picture of the ribeye, showing what wasn't edible due to a lot of grizzle and too much fat. I might have ate a 6 ounce portion. The seasoning on the steak was sparse. And cutting it was difficult. But the rolls were delicious. I paid $34.79 for the steak and I am highly disappointed. I don't want apologies, since that won't fix my financial loss and from past reviews there are others who also were highly disappointed. Some people would argue that a steak is a steak. However, that is not true. There are so many things that can go wrong quickly with a stick, for example, you can have a tough steak, a overcooked on the outside undercooked on the inside steak, a state that isn't chosen properly meaning it's too marbled, you can have a steak that is over marinated, a steak undercooked, you get the point... Most times, Logan's hits the mark! I would've also recommend from the bar, a prickly pear. Margarita for summertime! I took my sister and her husband here for her birthday or wanted to. We sat down and tried to order and was carded I wasn't driving so I just had my credit card and keys. Have been going to this restaurant since it opened, at least once a week and have NEVER been carded. I think if you look young ok card the person. The three of us are white headed and 74, 79 and 80 respectively. She went to get the manager who never appeared so we left. I called the manager as soon as I got in the car and she said she talked with the server and said that wasn't necessary. Nothing else. Ruined our birthday dinner. Logans on Balmoral just needs to shut the doors and go home. It has been three weeks, and the draft beer selections are still not operational. I used to be a regular customer, but not anymore. To sum it up..decent food, good service. We'll be back. Had a pretty good Saturday evening experience. Our server Chris was really attentive and personable. I told him how we hadn't been in a while because last few times the food was subpar. He was confident it would be better because he said their best cook was on the grill. They have a wood fire menu and some logs of wood in a rack. I love wood smell..not a lot of that in the eating area though. Typical Logan's with the yeast rolls and peanuts. Both of which I and the family love. I didn't get many pictures. I ordered a med-rare prime rib. An assortment of sandwiches, steak, and ribs also ordered at our table. Everything was good. But guess whose order was messed up?! Mine! Haha. That's what I get for venting. I was served a 12oz ribeye instead of prime rib. I mentioned it to the runners. They took the steak and brought me a prime rib. Not sure what they did with the steak and I kind of regret not keeping it because it looked delicious..more so than the prime rib. My husband ordered the chopped steak cooked medium with mashed potatoes with brown gravy and bbq baked beans. I ordered the anything and everything salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly, especially our server. The food was excellent. My husband cleaned his plate, and I nearly cleaned mine as well. The menu is pretty varied and has been very quick at the pickup desk. The staff has been pretty good too and do their best to be cheerful and welcoming. However, about 1 time in 3, something is missing. Also, the bar is EXTREMELY slow. When calling in an order, I think it is outsourced because they always confirm the location and they rarely know the menu very well. The service was actually as good or even better than we have received when we go to 4 and 5 star restaurants which we frequent often. I had a party of 9 for early lunch today that I had informed restaurant were coming. hostess said seating was available but couldn't seat us without manager okay. manager said NO. he was working on take out order would be at least 25 minutes. After 15 minutes of standing in lobby waiting I checked again. Manager said NO. wasn't sure when we or any one could be seated. I called o'charley's and explained the situation and was told to come on down. my recommendation start with o'charley's. very different management style!! Service was so slow that after 20 minutes of waiting and barely even seeing our server (when he finally arrived), we had to ask if we were going to get the complimentary rolls. Server looked ticked that we had asked, and he brought us fewer rolls than people eating, no plates, no napkins. Never saw the server impromptu after that, waited a long time for the food, and when it did arrive, was very undercooked and cold. Had to send my steak back since it looked like it was still fresh off the cow (ordered medium-rare, received very rare, red was still visible on the outside) and my wife's was barely edible. Server looked annoyed when I asked for it to actually be cooked, but took the steak back. Didn't see the server again until I had to ask for the manager who, after hearing our predicament, took the price of my wife's meal off the ticket (the cheaper of the two meals), but didn't give her any replacement, and I ended up taking my steak home in a box after it finally arrived since everyone else was done and waiting to go.
