Came here a couple of times for this week with a rather large group of coworkers - more than 10 of us! The wait staff was very accommodating, splitting our checks up so we could pay separately and when they found out we were from out of town they gave us 10% off with our hotel keys. The manager even came over to give us all free appetizer coupons for our next visit (used on the second visit!). I was really impressed with all of the staff on both of our visits. The food was good. I had the 8 ounce fillet, which they butterflied to make sure it cooked the way I liked. I got a baked sweet potato and a house salad as my sides. The potato had cinnamon -- yummy! I have to say though, the most fun part was the bucket of peanuts set out on each table. They went great with the super cheap beers! read more

Solid three stars. Not my first Logan's and basically what I've come to expect. I ordered a steak salad after being assured that it was a "mix of field greens and spinach". I was served a salad of steak over romaine, iceberg and about four pieces of field greens. That was a huge bummer because I try to be healthy only rarely and hate when an attempt fails. The bread is amazing and completely unhealthy. Fluffy hot balls of yeasty goodness with butter. Those get eleven stars. Everything else is a 2-3 star experience. read more

Driving by to take back to the hotel. Stopped to get a couple sandwiches to go. Got back to the hotel. My pulled pork was tne driest, worst sandwich I've ever had. My husband's club was ok at best. Would not recommend it at all. Try Subway instead!! read more

Manager at Decatur location doesn't care about his customers at all. I had a party of 9 for early lunch today that I had informed restaurant were coming. hostess said seating was available but couldn't seat us without manager okay. manager said NO. he was working on take out order would be at least 25 minutes. After 15 minutes of standing in lobby waiting I checked again. Manager said NO. wasn't sure when we or any one could be seated. I called o'charley's and explained the situation and was told to come on down. my recommendation start with o'charley's. very different management style!! I was so upset and embarrassed at experience at logan's with friends, some from out of town, basically being told that we had to wait and wait until manager allowed us to eat at his restaurant read more

If Alicia stayed at the front of the house, and Keith managed the kitchen Ii can almost guarantee 99% of all issues would be resolved. No one would be over on hours and we wouldn't run out of stock. After driving over 10 hours I was happy to see I could walk over to this place and get my meal to go and eat in my room. NOT. I went to the bar and placed my order of chicken fried chicken salad and a side of soup of the day. I waited and waited and watched several meals get served to customers that were sat AFTER I got there (steak dinners, no less)! The bartender kept reassuring me that my order would be right up! Finally after waiting well over 30 minutes for a freaking salad and soup the bartender disappeared in the kitchen for a long time and returned with my order. She apologized and said, "they had to make the soup because they were out!" What? I would have gladly NOT had the soup or get a different soup:(( Guess what? When I got back to my room I opened the soup and it was ice cold! And also half way filled up the smallest container:((( paid $5 for nothing that I waited for 1/2 an hour. OK, I have been to many Logans (read my other reviews) and I find they are all the same, they all seem to lack good management. I was in Decatur staying at the Marriott and this Logans was right in front of the hotel so I thought, cool don't have to drive. As we walked up i seen people waiting outside, waiting inside, waiting everywhere. I thought wow this place is packed...no..As with all Logans I have been to the system of sitting people is flawed, there are always empty tables and always people waiting. We went right to the bar and sat, I would suggest this for anyone not with kids, no wait and good service. Our bartender was great, could not ask for better. The food was OK. I had the prime rib and it was overcooked but OK, nothing special but OK. They did slightly screw up the appetizer but were quick to fix it. Wife streak was also overdone. All I can say is this is another Logans Steakhouse that is just like all the other ones I have been to. If there was someplace else I could have walked to I would have but since it is right there it was easy. Overall experience OK, with the exception of the bartender, who was great, there is nothing special about this place. read more

Ok, so to me this place is a low-rent Texas Roadhouse. Right down to the buckets of peanuts, zany wall paintings and neon signs it looks like an attempt to imitate. Now I don't know which came first, but Logan's didn't impress me too much. We had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated, which wasn't terrible for a Sunday evening. We sat at the bar to have a drink. I ordered a Goose IPA, which was poured with ZERO head. I don't know who trained that particular barmaid, but she needs a refresher course. It's really hard to enjoy an IPA with no head which releases the hop aromas. :( However, the SECOND beer was poured by another woman who actually did pour it correctly. Inconsistency is always a killer. :( While the 2nd round was being poured, our pager buzzed. We were seated and placed our orders quickly. An onion rings tower, salads, steaks and ribs were requested. The rolls were decent, but inferior to the ones at Texas Roadhouse. The garden salad I got was overdressed. There was an approximately 1:2 dressing:veggie ratio, and I almost broke a tooth on a stale crouton. The croutons that weren't stale and hard as rocks were soggy. About half of the greens were browning or wilted. I threw in the towel on my salad after picking out the best bits. The onion rings came a little later, and were... Onion rings... With a tangy horseradish-spiked sauce. Again, eerily similar yet inferior to Texas Roadhouse...... My ribeye steak and steamed broccoli came as ordered (medium rare, no butter, respectively). Presentation was about as uninspired as you can get, but the food was good. My steak was tasty but not fork-droppingly good at all. So, in closing, a decent meal can be had here but it's nothing terribly special. read more

Service was so slow that after 20 minutes of waiting and barely even seeing our server (when he finally arrived), we had to ask if we were going to get the complimentary rolls. Server looked ticked that we had asked, and he brought us fewer rolls than people eating, no plates, no napkins. Never saw the server impromptu after that, waited a long time for the food, and when it did arrive, was very undercooked and cold. Had to send my steak back since it looked like it was still fresh off the cow (ordered medium-rare, received very rare, red was still visible on the outside) and my wife's was barely edible. Server looked annoyed when I asked for it to actually be cooked, but took the steak back. Didn't see the server again until I had to ask for the manager who, after hearing our predicament, took the price of my wife's meal off the ticket (the cheaper of the two meals), but didn't give her any replacement, and I ended up taking my steak home in a box after it finally arrived since everyone else was done and waiting to go. Didn't see the server again until he gave us our ticket and we barely got any acknowledgment that we were leaving. Awful service, not amazing food (what we could eat), and it's difficult to say at this time if we will even return. read more

I had a burger which was not even warm enough to melt the cheese on it. Fries were also lukewarm. Had to wait forever for my drink from the bar and for condiments after the waitress asked if we wanted any. Waitress was good, I think she was just spread too thin. My cross country team in town for the state cross county meet. We have eaten with them each of the last five years. Each year the service gets better and better. They let us pre-order our food for the runners and parents. When we arrive at the resturant they have the drinks and salads on the table waiting for us. Our food is brought out promptly and still warm. Over fifty people are in our group and we were in and out in less than an hour. Our glasses stayed full and the servers were absoultly awesome. We are excited about returning again next season. read more

We have had problems with Logan's in Decatur more than one time. Sometimes it's been poor service or took too long to get our food. Every time, we say we're not going back, but end up giving them another chance. My husband bought e-gift cards for his employees for Christmas, so we got the bonus "cards" for ordering them online. We decided to try Logan's again, and hoped for a better experience. My husband had seen the ads for prime rib on weekends. We called, and since it was New Year's Eve, they had the prime rib. We also asked if they accepted the gift cards along with discount card we got in the mail. They told us yes. We did not know the "bonus cards" were not the same as regular e-gift cards. So when it was time to pay, they would only accept either the discount card from our mail or the bonus e-gift card. Before we had this problem, we ordered our dinner, the same size prime rib, cooked the same way. We started eating our dinner and I kept noticing that there was a lot of fat/gristle on my prime rib. (And had not even eaten half of my entree.) Our server told us that this cut of meat had more fat than the average, after we had already ordered. I understand that, but the amount on mine was unacceptable. The manager on duty, Brian, came to our table and said the servers were supposed to remind the customers about this cut of meat, but ours did not prior to our ordering. He offered nothing for the excessive amount of waste on my entree. Then when he came back to our table about the coupon/gift card issue, he kept asking if there was anything else he could do for us.....(He asked this several times in the conversation) He hadn't done anything for us!, This visit is the final straw! We will not go back, not only to the Logan's in Decatur, AL, but to any other Logan's. read more

We order the same thing every time we come and they keep getting it wrong the cooks must not know what they are doing 4 people sent food back within the time we have been here got my steak and it was bloody and disgusting looking. I had my disbelief in this place... I have eaten here for three nights now. First night I had the full slab of ribs. Mediocre But good.. Large quantity! 2nd night New York strip. Stopped in here on a business trip - food was quite good and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. On top of that the manager (Will) took almost an hour out of his time to help me locate my lost receipt for the meal so I could submit it to my company - after I had already flown home! Ok so I ordered the surf and turf and when I recieved my meal the shrimp was cold and the steak was RARE after I ordered it medium. So I sent it back.When I recieved my meal for the second time the steak was rare. The waitress then said do you want me to take it back and I said just forget it. We visited tonight. So disappointed. I'd waited a week to go in, and had been craving a wedge salad. The one brought out had some kind of spice sprinkled all over. Ruined the flavor. Then I had to send my steak back to have it RE cooked, since I ordered Med well and it sat in a pool of blood. The butter on the potato tasted Luke it was honey butter, not good at least for me. Okay let's talk management service, I visit about six restaurants a week. I'm not going to talk about the food, it was good, our waitress Emily, was a waitress I would hire if I own my own restaurant. Restaurant management tonight is the worst I've seen in 13 years. Im going to limit my details because it will take way too long. Six people dinning, one person didn't get his steak until all the people were well finished and ready to go home. The manager, Ramon was very unfriendly, we asked for the steak to be boxed up and taken off the bill. He refused and argued with us continuously about the cost of the steak. Are you kidding me??? one person set there the entire time while he watched everybody eat because the kitchen messed up!!!!! Rowdy Roadhouse pretty much sums this place up. Loud, Large portions, large drinks, and solid food. It's basically a step up from Chilis and Applebees. Steaks are pretty good and you can "cover" them in a whole lot of stuff. Really packed for dinner but for lunch they have some good deals. If all you want is a solid juicy steak and you don't mind the atmosphere this place will probably do it for you. read more

By far the best steakhouse in DeCatur. We order take out and their service is remarkable! Food is prepared exactly as ordered. If we have to wait they always throw in a couple more of their unbelievable rolls to our order. Eat in is just as good. Waiters are extremely attentive! Love it! I read the reviews and was a little worried but it was the only place in walking distance from my hotel. Ended up being awesome. Good food but the best part was the service. Eve was the bartender and she was on her game. She remembered everyone's name, locals and travelers like me, regularly checked on us and provided great customer service to everyone there, both food and drinks.
