I realize this is not enough scale steakhouse in fact it's not even a low scale steakhouse. It's a chain restaurant that happens to have steaks on their menu. The service was frantic at best. I don't know if our server had too many tables or maybe had too much "caffeine" that day, but she came by and sort of drop things off in a hurry as she ran to her next task. The food was a salad C minus. The steak was technically cooked properly however it was supposed to come with a grown jalapeño which they were out of so they brought pickled jalapeños instead, it was also supposed to come with grilled zucchini which they were out of. It was also served some sort of cheesy rice sandwich basically was like Rice-A-Roni with some cold Parmesan cheese thrown into it. I ordered the ribs, which were just OK. read more

Usually know right off how to rate a place. This was a challenge. 3 stars is fair. Everything was ok with nothing being exceptional nor actually bad. However, I almost gave them 4 stars. I got in on one of their lunch time specials. I had a salad, rolls, butter, steak tips, mashed potatoes with gravy, ice water, in a mostly comfortable restaurant with an actual server for $10 (plus tax). That's less than most fast food meals. The steak tips were overcooked but still a bit juicy and tender. The server was new but pleasant and trying. The "suggested tip" percentages was calculated on the food and tax total..... Off street parking was adequate, place was clean inside and out. While nothing to go out of one's way for, no real reason to avoid it either. read more

After a long day of work, neither of us felt like cooking, so we figured we'd swing by Logan's for dinner. Our last visit was pretty solid, so we thought why not? It was a Saturday night, so I expected a packed house, but surprisingly it wasn't busy at all. The décor is still one of my favorite parts of this place -- lots of local touches, Ohio State gear on the walls, and that relaxed roadhouse vibe. We were seated right away, and it took a few minutes before a server came over. No big deal. I went with the Create Your Own Combo -- it comes with a salad (Caesar or side salad), an entrée, a drink, and those endless dinner rolls. I chose the Caesar salad, chicken tenders with fries, and an Arnold Palmer. Now, I'm someone who actually likes getting my salad before my meal, but that didn't really happen here. They brought out my salad and, no joke, maybe 30 seconds later my entrée showed up. So I just ate everything together. Salad was good -- cold, fresh, and nicely dressed. The chicken tenders... well, you get four, but they were definitely on the smaller side and mostly breading. The fries were just okay, regular fries, and kind of lukewarm. Honestly, the rolls and the salad ended up being the best part of my meal. For $14.95, I was hoping for bigger tenders and hot fries, at least. Would I come back? Sure. Logan's isn't off my list, but next time I'll probably go with a burger or a different entrée. On the positive side, my wife had a much better experience -- she ordered the Anything & Everything Salad and really enjoyed hers. So maybe it just wasn't my night. read more

Went here for dinner. The first impression was not good as we sat for awhile without anyone acknowledging we were there while we saw 4 different servers in the bar area. Finally our server arrived. She was very friendly. I had the Anything & Everything Salad. The salad had mesquite grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, bacon, walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese, egg and tomato. We attended on a Sunday afternoon and it was really busy. Only open two weeks, in the middle of March Madness, the restaurant was definitely in the middle of a stress test. We were greeted pleasantly and seated within quoted time of 30 minutes. The floor plans are much more open and the location is a little smaller then I remember the last times Logan's were in the market. The server was awesome and attentive and the manager stopped by the table to make sure we were ok. Rolls were hot and fresh and delicious. Entrees were delivered in a timely manner and tasted good. I think that the tune on food was so quick maybe not fully marinated on something's like onions and mushrooms, buts still good. I would really be interested in coming back on a weeknight in a month or so and see how excellent they are calling and executing the plays! read more

He said the Salmon was perfectly cooked and I tried the shrimp and I agree probably the best prepared seafood meal in a steak place. We were excited about a new steakhouse opening on Stringtown Road and couldn't wait to try them out. The first time we stopped by, they had a 30 minute wait for a table, so we just left. But on our second trip they only had a 10 minute wait, so we decided to stick around. This location is where O'Charley's used to be so it's not the biggest restaurant, but they decorated it well to make it their own. It's a little too noisy though; they have music playing but also lots of televisions going too. It's a jumbled mess of noise and it was hard to even hear the hostess when we spoke with her. After 10 minutes my phone buzzed with news that our table was ready. We were seated and our waitress popped right over to take our drinks order. She was phenomenal the entire visit. Smiling and attentive, we never had to wait for her. That is where the positivity ends. We ordered 16 oz ribeyes cooked medium with garlic butter added. I ordered a caesar salad with extra dressing and mashed potatoes with gravy; the hubby ordered green beans and rice. We also splurged on an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. The sticks came out quickly and we had our first red flag for a poor experience. They were not good. They tasted like they had been microwaved. The marinara sauce was way too chunky and just not good. Once our steaks came out and we cut into them, we realized that these were the two sorriest cuts of ribeye we had ever seen. It was all gristle and fat. They were also practically raw and definitely not medium. Even the garlic butter wasn't good. It had no flavor at all. The steaks were also flavorless. My salad was good but the gravy on the mashed potatoes was definitely from a can, as well as my hubby's green beans. We aren't big complainers, so we ate what we could and boxed the rest. We have an air fryer at home and figured a good reheating on those steaks would make a world of difference. That evening we air fried the steaks and they tasted even worse. My husband had an upset stomach the rest of the night. Considering that this horrid meal cost a whopping $100.00, we will not be returning to Logan's ever again. We decided to try the new location in Grove City. My wife and I have worked in food service before so we know new locations face growing pain challenges with new employees, management, processes, etc. Even with allowing for that, we were not impressed in the slightest with Logan's. We arrived an hour after they opened on. Sunday. We were expecting a wait, but were able to get a seat at the bar immediately. We decided to skip appetizers and go straight to the entrees. I ordered the 16oz ribeye medium rare with broccoli and fries. Mindy got the 6oz sirloin with salad and green beans. She requested it to be cooked blue rare but the server said they could not serve it cooked that way so she went with rare. While waiting for our food, we were given rolls with butter. They looked delicious and were just okay. The butter did not taste like butter so I am guessing it was tasteless whipped margarine. When our dinners arrived, they looked decent. The food runner asked us to cut into the steaks to ensure they were cooked correctly. The portion I cut into on my steak looked good. Mindy's steak looked medium rare at best. When we started eating the first thing that stood out was the lack of flavor in the steak. I understand we like our food well seasoned and restaurants have to appeal the masses, but getting a flavorless piece of meat is unacceptable. I actually used A-1 for the first time in YEARS trying to make it palatable. The sides were okay, but nothing great. As for the service, primary server was okay but she was overwhelmed. There was a guy who was helping (we are assuming a corporate trainer because he was all over the restaurant) who was not really helping. Mindy had eaten less than half of her salad and was logging her food in her food app. He just walked up and took the salad without asking if she was done. Fortunately she caught it and he has not taken it away. Overall the only good things about the location were that we were able to get seated immediately and that they offer a military veteran discount. Everything else needed massive improvements. We may try again in 6-8 months after they get settled but not before then. read more

Came in on 8/4 at 4.30 PM for a glass of wine and to finish up some work quotes. 4 young people at the check-in desk. Was met by the Gen-Z stare, no greeting. Asked if they had a table or barstool near an outlet so I could plug in my laptop. Kid waved his hand and said "yeah that booth over there". I said "great" and waited. And waited. Finally asked him "are you going to seat me over there or should I just walk over?". They all looked at me like I was insane. I said "never mind" and took a seat at the bar, which had outlets underneath. Was greeted by a lovely middle aged women who was clearly in training. She basically received no help from the bartender who was supposed to guider her and clearly hated his job. I ordered my glass of wine and we are now 40 minutes later, my glass is empty, I haven't ordered any food yet, no one has come over to see if I need anything or want to order. It's little wonder this place is dead. I won't be back, there are two excellent steak houses literally across the street who provide excellent service. read more

Looking at all the reviews I was skeptical to take my dad here for Father's Day. But I remember how great it used to be when it was located in Pickerington I didn't let the reviews get to me. Our first time here and no complaints. I normally don't rate chain restaurants but since I seen some negative reviews I decided to add my two cents. The service was prompt and my shrimp topped salmon was delicious and cooked just right. Their rolls are soft and yummy as well. The prices are good, you get a decent amount of food for a fair price. My only complaint was that my husband's steak wasn't cooked enough when he asked for medium well but they did take it back to the kitchen and cooked it longer. Maybe with it being a new restaurant to the area they will work out the kinks in a few weeks. Will be back soon. read more

First and Last Visit This was our first time dining at Logan's Roadhouse, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The manager actually brought us our margaritas, which was nice, but when we asked about the soup of the day, he told us and then added that he didn't recommend the French onion soup -- not exactly reassuring. When our food arrived, everything was cold. The ribs were so hard and cold I couldn't even rip them apart. The spin dip was lukewarm, the chicken tenders were dry and cold, the fries were cold, and the country fried steak tasted sour and cold as well. The restaurant itself seemed clean, and our waitress, Chelsea, was very kind and understanding. It was clear none of this was her fault. Unfortunately, between the food and overall experience, we don't plan on returning. read more

Just finished dinner at the Grove City location. Service was great. Really liked our waitress. Our appetizer was great. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip. It was fantastic. But then there were the main courses. I ordered salmon which comes with rice, baked sweet potato and French onion soup. I assumed the soup would come out with the salads. My wife ordered the filet mignon and my daughter ordered the NY strip. Both wanted them cooked medium. Both steaks came out rare. They were sent back and put back on the grill. They came back. The strip was cooked to medium rare. Part of the filet was cooked to medium rare but the other side was still rare. Manager asked if she wanted to take the part that wasn't cooked back to put on grill. Why didn't they just cook another steak. Then... they forgot to bring the French onion soup. They brought it out. The soup had two slices of slightly melted Swiss cheese on top. The soup was sweet like they added sugar to it. Gross! Overall, terrible food. Not sure we will be back. I have not eaten inside yet, but ordering pickup has been good. The first week they opened I waited a pretty long time to get my food around an hour. My husband and I just moved back to Grove City in January and we're extremely happy to see this restaurant coming to town. So excited, in fact, that my husband tried multiple times to make reservations starting a month before the grand opening. No luck there, but no problem. We'll just go early. We showed up and hour early expecting a big show out from the community. We were first in line and people didn't really start coming for about another 45 minutes. No worries. At 3:55 they open the door and we go in. Get our names on the list. Since we are first in line, we were the first ones seated. We were a party of 4...took my sister and father-in-law along. This meal was amazing! Service was great. If I were reviewing based on that visit, it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, the next 2 visits are not so great. 2nd time, we asked for the same server we had on our first visit. We weren't seated in his section, but he remembered us as his first guests on opening day and came over special for us. Same great service from him. That's where my good review ends. We waited 45 minutes for our food because the kitchen lost our ticket. Then when it arrived, it was cold. On top of that, when my husband cut into his medium well steak, it was still pink! We were pretty much done and just wanted to get home so we had Sam box it up. Manager comped the meal and we left. Ok...maybe they were having a bad night. Let's give them another chance. Fast forward a month. We go back in. 10 minutes after we're seated, our server comes by to get drink orders. I ordered a drink from the bar and my husband ordered his usual root beer. She brought his root beer after 5 minutes. We're sitting at a table where I have a clear view of the bar. I'm watching 2 bar tenders serving a couple bar customers and standing around chatting with them. They had been seated there AFTER my drink order was delivered to them! When our server brought my husband's drink, we were already ready to order. We placed an order for an appetizer and an entree at the same time to save her a trip coz she had 4 tables and was complaining about how busy she was (only 3 had people sitting at them). She takes our orders and before I let her go i ask about my drink. She said the order was in but she will check on it. OK. She heads to the kitchen and 5 minutes later she comes out to the bar. THAT'S when the guy gets busy on my drink! I'm watching him and I see someone coming out of the kitchen with 2 meals on their arm. They came straight to our table with them. Remember, we ordered an appetizer and hadn't gotten it yet plus I'm still waiting for the drink! When the food was placed on the table, we asked where the appetizer was. The girl gives us this most disgusted look and says "this is what was ready for you so I brought it out." We're not ready for that, we were looking forward to the potato skins. So she offers to get them and will have our meals "remade". Ok...a few more minutes go by and we get the app. Server came by and apologized coz she "forgot " to put that part on the order. We eat a couple of the skins and ask for our food. They brought out the same plates that were served earlier. They had just put them under the heat lamps to hold until we asked for them. Those lamps are useless and the food was cold! I had a baked sweet potato and had asked for the butter and cinnamon be placed on the side. Butter was now melted and the cup with the cinnamon was hot! We asked for the Manager, explain the situation and how disappointed we are. He goes and has the food remade, brings it back all packed up, grabs the plates we didn't eat, and he's ready to chase us out the door. Ok I have been to this Logan's Roadhouse three times now! The first time we had a salad and the hamburger, fantastic flavor and great service! Second time, not so good. We went in for the Sirloin deal for 12.99, dine in only. Service was great, but my steak was cold and small sides. The wait for the meal was extremely long. Sent it back, after a 10 minute wait, my steak came out hot but raw. By this time I was done! I took it to go. Third trip was on opening day. A lot of people working/walking around. Service was slow as ever. Took 5 min to get water, another 2 min for rolls. We ordered onion rings, as well as the shrimp appetizer. When we got the onion rings, all the outside coatings were just falling off because it was not cooked enough. Then when you've been into an onion ring, grease, ran down your face. When we looked at the bottom of the container , there was just grease everywhere, and the pieces of onion were huge. We enjoyed the shrimp better but they two were greasy, as well as there was more a bit of lettuce than they were shrimps. He also ordered a chopstick meal that came on a little bit of mashed potatoes. It was supposed to be covered in gravy, but there was maybe a tablespoon of gravy 2 tablespoons at the most as well sautéed onions and mushrooms, minimally. The serving of the broccoli was huge half the plate, so that was good. When I cut and ate the hamburger/chop steak it was lukewarm. Lots of salt and pepper to try to season it, decided to take it home. My stomach was upset for eating all the grease filled onion rings. When we asked about the onion rings, the manager took it off of our bill as a promo code. The prom with that is that then I can no longer use my coupon which I had as signing up for their rewards program. Would I recommend eating there, absolutely not. Maybe if they're open longer maybe they'll get better, however, we do not plan on going back in a very long time if ever. Two out of three horrible experiences. read more
