What's not to love about Logan's? They start you off with those yummy sourdough yeast rolls that are 5000 calories each. There are buckets of peanuts on the table and yes the shells go on the floor. Then comes the meal. There are a few healthy choices in the menu, but is that what you really want? lol. I never have room left for the yummy desserts. My brain wants them but my stomach screams No! I was in the area on business and decided to go to Logan's one evening for dinner. I walked up to the bar, and once I ordered a sweet tea, it was like the bartender automatically forgot about me. He eventually took my order, which were bbq wings and pork chops. After waiting another 10 minutes, the bartender brought me some less than soft rolls and only one little cup of sweet butter for the basket. I asked him to put the college football game on, and he immediately forgot. Another 50 minutes later, I received both my meal... and about two minutes later, I even got my appetizer. WTF!?!? After the food arrived, and a good hour after I asked about football, another server checked on me and eventually put the game on. The food was fine; no complaints there, beside the stale rolls. Best part of the whole experience is when my wife and I left. Upon entering the facility we were greeted with a "two people" question/statement from a hostess who was obviously too busy to properly greet customers. While the hostess stayed and contemplated what she would be doing after work another young lady sat us in a dirty booth with water stains and food still on the table, not to mention what was in the seats. She said, "sorry" and sort of cleaned the booth with what I am guessing is a germ infested rag they keep for these occasions. No cleaner on the table no water to help get those food particles, nope just a good old dry rag. Well after we sat down and ate some bread and butter our waitress Ireland came to us. I have never been around a waitress who didn't really say more than 5 words to us before. Small greeting led by the typical annoyed "are you ready to order" followed by our food and a drink change(1) and then a "thanks" and the bill. The food was bland and the salad my wife ordered was wrong. I mean it's not hard to take an order and to make sure it comes out correctly. I mean you are literally carrying the food on your shoulder or in your hands so how could you not pay attention and makes sure it's right. This is a place that thrives on customer service and today it sucked. There are more flamboyant words that i would like to use but i will keep it civil. Today was a horrible experience. , Never again will we eat there, my husband and I ordered The Logan steak both to be cooked med well--they were cooked --there was no taste. No broiled or grilled, no seasoning's no nothing- Also the Logan comes with one side so we had a baked potato which we were charged for the butter and cheese. My husbands potato was cold and the butter wouldn't melt. The A1 and Ketchup bottles were both empty ,we flagged down a waitress and she brought us a new bottle of A1 and the same empty bottle of Ketchup. I brought home the steaks and will slice them up and add some onion, sauté with salt and pepper and try to recover my $40.00 that I spent. As I said , Never Again!!! read more

The service was lackluster here and the main issue for me. The steak that I ordered "well done" came out medium well, but that didn't bother me as much as the lack of attention from our server. He was very nice when we were able to catch him, but we only saw him twice throughout the course of our meal. Ice Storm Comes to Texas.....Almost ever eatery closes down, you are in a hotel waiting for your newly purchased house to close. We are hungry and tired from the past fews days, packing and fighting the elements. There was a restaurant near our hotel but they closed early for the storm. We saw the sign for Logan's Roadhouse and head straight for it. Maybe, just maybe they would be open? We opened the front door and was told that they were just finishing up with the people that were inside and were closed. We did the whimper thing as mentioned above. We were invited in. We wanted to make it quick so that we did not interfere with the staff to get out of the restaurant and home safely. We were taken care of by Suzie (GM, we found out later), and both of her managers (sorry we didn't get their names). All were outstanding and took great care of us. We took our order to go so that they all could get home safely. The food was very tasty, and plenty of it. I took a bit to get back to the hotel and my fries were cool (not cold). I usually hate fries that are not hot. These were exceptional! I can't wait to go back and eat there. We are new to the community and this restaurant is down the street, so they earned customers who will be back many more time in the future. Thanks a million for serving us in the storm!!! read more

My family and I stopped to eat here as we've passed by but never tried it many times. I ordered the bone in ribeye steak cooked medium. So the waitress comes out with our food and I proceeded to check my steak for doneness and it is cooked well done. I politely ask if they can remake it as a well done steak is worthless in my opinion. So by the time my steak comes back my family is almost done with their meal. I cut the steak to see it is now rare. At this point I'm just going to eat the thing. I tell the waitress it's fine. I proceeded to eat my steak and it was absolutely the toughest piece of meat I've ever had. I just ate what I could , and left to never return. read more

I enjoy their food. I think their prices are reasonable. Their service is okay. I enjoy the steaks at Logan's. I usually try to get the veggie skewer and a salad with my steak. I have gone quite a few times over the years and I would say they forget my veggie skewer about 25% of the time. Its not a huge deal but it is something that apparently happens a lot. One time the server told me that its because of the way tickets print up in the back. I have never complained to a manager about it but it just seems like a little quirk that needs improvement. I have also noticed that when I want to try a new alcoholic beverage on their menu that the servers seem unfamiliar with the drink or say they don't have it. When I show them that its a new drink they usually have to go ask a bartender about it. Its a no frills steakhouse and it is budget friendly. read more

It was ok for a while, food isn't anything special but it's lufkin we don't have any options. So you would think customer service would be premium...lol yea about that. The ASSISTANT MANAGER started spray painting tables at 9pm. He spray painted about 5 before someone complained, I was unaware of what was going on until I smelled it, it was awful. After the customer complained he stopped...for awhile anyway. But the damage was done. Who spray paints inside a restaurant with people in it?? Especially at 50+ years old you would think he would know better than that. Needless to say the guy is a moron and I won't be going back. The health department needs to be brought in on this. couldn't get steak right. had to take it back 3 times and when i got it back there was hair it it and the bacon on my sons burger wasn't cooked and his cheese had green stuff in it and my daughters shrimp was burnt and had to ask 5 times for ranch and mustard. my daughter rice is also not done. only got one side of fries when i ordered two. ordered a side of Broccoli and got 3 in all. waited 20 minutes for them to give me my card back. rly disappointed. expected better. oh and btw it's my birthday! read more

We absolutely love Logan's. To me the steaks are the best in Lufkin, even out doing outback. The fried mushrooms are amazing....drinks are great as well. My only complaint is the portion size for what you pay. The same with the drinks. If I pay almost $8.00 a drink it better be pretty large & strong....NOT the case here. read more

This seems to be the "go to" place in the Lufkin area. It's right off the freeway and easy to access (just don't take the Nachogdoches exit). It reminded me of Texas Roadhouse...right down to the pale of peanuts on the table. There is a large bar area, if you're interested. The food is good quality with lots of typical choices. Burgers, salads, potatoes, chicken, fish and of course steak. The Kickin' Chicken salad was very good...and I'm sure I'll have it again. Service is a little slow, but that seems to be the theme in this small town. I'm learning to slow my roll. ;-P read more

Just left. Still hungry. Unsatisfactory. Service was "ok." She came when called. Drinks were "ok." There was a hint of alcohol in them. Appetizers, it is hard to mess up finger food (mozz sticks, potato skins, buffalo wings) but they succeeded. Ordered a $19 T-bone (mentioned on the menu as "hand-picked".) My husband and I have been several times. We love a good steak. Food it's self is not too bad. But do not go 30 minutes before closing the waitresses are very rude sweeping and cleaning all around you even if you ask them not to because there's stirring up dust in your food. In fact I have had very few pleasant times when I felt like we got just basic pleasant service. They seem to hire young people with chips on their shoulders that have bad attitudes. If you don't close until 10 you don't close until 10! If you want to be closed at 9:30 then close at 9:30.!! read more

Came in and gave our name to 4, I repeat 4, young ladies standing at the front counter. Gave our number of guests which was also 4 plus a car seat. I understand there are rules for car seats and high chairs. However, 5 other families were seated before us. Not one of the 4 young ladies holding up the counter gave a reason as to why they could not seat us based on the car seat. We finally asked and they said they were waiting for a spot large enough for us. One lady was looking at an iPad that showed available seating. I guess the other 3 ladies were so intent on holding up the counter that they could not physically check on seating. There was a round EMPTY table that would have seated us, but I guess for some reason we could not sit there??? We counted at least 5 families that left, but still we were not seated. We finally left. I know Logan's is a busy restaurant, and I know that Sundays are probably one of their busiest days. However, if you know you're going to be busy, have the staff available, or better yet, have your hostesses jump in to bus tables if needed. I don't think they need a special license for that...just a sense of pride to do your best job whatever it may be. The service was very slow! It took about 50 minutes to get our food. Server didn't even give us a napkin and utensils! I had the steak burger and it was just ok. The child's burger was tiny. The chicken sandwich tastes just like a Wendy's chicken sandwich . Do not recommend it!!! read more

we eat here 2 or 3 times a month. We really enjoy the rib eye steaks. Its difficult to get one cooked just right, but they try very hard to make us happy. We will keep coming back because the service is good and the prices are reasonable. read more
