We walked in and were greeted right away, asked to sit at the bar and they let us go. The bar area was clean and had no bad smells which we loved cause some bars be stank! We sat at the bar and within seconds the bartender was on us! We have never been so we did not know what to order so she started telling us what they were known for and offered us some bread. Two seconds later we got bread from another young lady, then 10 seconds after that the bartender brought us more bread! The bread was warm and the two types of butter were yummy one was sweet with cinnamon and the other a saled butter. We ordered drinks and an app, and I think within 2 minutes we had our Rattlesnake bites and a few seconds later our drinks. The drinks were good and strong! we then ordered our entrees and snacked on bread and the appetizer. Other than them being a tad bit salty they were cooked very well. Before we finished our first round of drinks our entrees came! I got the ribs with green beans and mac and cheese. The ribs were amazing fall off the bone tender and juicy! the green beans were very flavorful while the mac was eh... My wife got the Dallas filet that she said was cooked perfectly and it did not need any steak sauce or seasonings. She also got corn that she really enjoyed and mashed taters but they were a bit watery... We ate as much as we could but could not finish our food. I used the app to make a reservation. Checked in when we got there. We were taken to our table immediately. Our waitress introduced herself and got our drink order and appetizer order. Rolls and butter were delivered and were yummy. I had some sort of watermelon drink. It was great. Appetizer came out and all was good. We ordered our food and then it was a minute before our waitress showed back up. She finally came back and checked our drink levels, & then the food came. I ordered the steak and chicken. I unrolled the black cloth napkin and looked over my utensils and they had food on the knife and there was water on the forks. I grabbed another and it was pretty much same thing. Waitress went missing again so I went to the front and requested some new , clean utensils. The steak was not good. It didn't have any flavor. Everything else was good. I was kind of disappointed. This is the first time I have gotten dirty utensils and had a steak taste bland. When they utensils are wrapped, they should be making sure that they are dry and have been washed properly. I don't want any food on my utensils that someone had on their plate the night before. Totally gross. And add some seasoning. read more

Our server never introduced herself and when we asked what was came on the baked potato she asked "is everything okay on that?" so we asked what it came with and she told us the loaded option without mentioning any sort of upcharge and what came on the plain potato itself. I've been to this location from time to time, but this was definitely the worst experience. Me and my family went around 4:30 on a Saturday. When we went, there wasn't much of crowd so we assume like most folk we'd have speedy service. Unfortunately we received the opposite. My grandparents ordered two well done steaks and my mother ordered a medium steak all of which were 6 ounces. The photos shown are obviously not medium at all. This place is always busy so be sure to use the app and get on the waitlist especially if you have a large party. The noise level matches the size of the crowd so plan accordingly. We had a free appetizer to celebrate my birthday. We picked the potato skins with cheese and bacon. They were so good. I had the Dallas cut steak with fries and my wife had the BBQ Chicken. This is third visit to Texas Roadhouse and we ordered food online which we would pickup to go. Problem was we arrived on time to pick up our order which was supposed to be brought out to us but we waited, and waited and waited. We parked where we were directed to on the app and waited and continued to wait........ Finally my son went in to get our order and there were many ready to go and ours was ready. I am not typically this person. I have been to Texas Roadhouse in Lufkin 3 times and all 3 times have taken way way too long with 2 little kids to eat. Well tonight took the cake!!! We waited over an hour and 1/2 for a table (PATIENTLY!!) to be cut by a group of older ladies that were nothing but RUDE!!! We were eating with my aunt from Louisiana that I haven't seen since my Grandma's funeral over a year and 1/2 ago and that group got our table so they split us up (they did fix this part because I said I wasn't happy) we got there before 6:00 and are just now leaving @9:30!! My poor babies were so hungry and tired (one gave up on waiting and as soon as the food arrived I had to go sit outside with her so we still haven't eaten other than a roll each). I am very disappointed In roadhouse. Food is always decent but 3.5+ hrs waiting on "decent" food is a little extreme!
