Logan's is my favorite local steakhouse. I was happy that one finally opened up in Marion instead of having to drive to Paducah every time I wanted a steak. We went not long after they opened for business. My salad was frozen on top. Cucumbers and lettuce were icy. I had to get another one. My steak was great as usual. Sweet potato was half brown mush(not their fault as they can't see inside of a potato) so I had to get another of those as well. The little bucket dessert was also frozen so she brought me a different one. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She apologized profusely and even had the manager come talk to us. He was friendly also and gave us half off our ticket. I would return to this location even with all the mess-ups because of our experience with the staff. read more

Kind of disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and more importantly the bathrooms. They were absolutely filthy and I couldn't even bring myself to even use the ladies' stall. I walked in and decided right after that that I would simply hold it for the 3 hrs we had left to Nashville. Employees were just hanging out by the beverage station w cell phones and I wanted to say "hey! How about you grab some cleaner and paper towels and a mop and scrub that gross bathroom!" We stop at this locations several times back to Nashville from Illinois and don't know if we will do this again. read more

Nice friendly steakhouse offering reasonably priced steaks. It is similar to Texas Roadhouse offering shelled peanuts for a snack. "Of course, the shells belong on the floor", we were told. We ordered the grand opening special of 2 - 6 oz. sirloin seasoned steaks(no tenderizer added) , two sides each per meal, one appetizer to share, & for dessert, the most humongous chocolate brownie plus two scoops of ice cream we've ever seen! That was the 2/1 special of only $19.95 for all of it. Carrie, our bartender was extremely pleasant & efficient as we're our other helpful servers. The tap beers were only $2.00 each during Happy Hour from 3 - 6 PM. After 10 hours of traveling, Logan's Roadhouse, located 1 block from the Country Inn & Suites where we had an advance reservation, was a casual place to have great steaks. Awesome bar service. Food is great. Wings are crispy and not over cooked. Sauce is buffalo hot, blue cheese sauce is great with good chunks.

We were visiting for a softball tournament and we had several people but we called 30 minutes ahead of our arrival. The food was okay but the service was horrible. We waited 40 plus minutes for them to get our tickets and pay. read more

First I want to say the waitress I had proved to me you can fix anything with an apology and a lovely personality. She dropped a water on her first visit, got a salad wrong, forgot several things, was extremely busy and never not once acted like we were a burden or that she was flustered or upset! Very attentive service. We came in late while traveling. Staff was nice and our food tasted great. Way to end a 7 hr drive.

Service was ok, college age girl was trying her best with all the tables she had. I think she just had too much on her plate to be at her best. Good nacho appetizer, salads were good. Most of us had BBQ pick 2 combo. Brisket was great and plentiful. Ribs were dry. Ribs portion were pretty small for a combo plate. Mashed potatoes were also pretty small portion. Steve and I both had the fillet and lobster tail. So good. The yeast rolls are to die for. I also had their strawberry iced tea. Way more than I could finish but so good. Very nice steakhouse. Line to get in was long so I found a seat at the bar to eat since I was by myself. Service was a little slow but during a busy time that is to be expected. Once I was waited on the turnaround time between ordering and eating was less than 5 min. Very reasonable on price, steak the way I ordered it, and the cinnamon apples are very good. read more

Nice atmosphere we had a big table and the waitress was very efficient the food was a little slow coming out but they were trying to bring all the food out at the same very well done. I haven't had a bad meal here. The service is normally decent, and if you go on certain days of the week, there is a two for $15 menu. It is just your average chain restaurant and nothing to write home about, but I'm glad to have Logan's in Marion, and will continue to visit frequently. read more

Absolutely the worst meal we have ever had. The chicken was undercooked and when we sent it back it returned it was not any better.. We complained to the manager and he said " it looks bad". We ate at Marion today and was disappointed. I ordered unsweetened tea and said that I would like sugar so I could add it. Instead she mixed half sweet tea and unsweet tea. They never did this before. The bathroom was not clean. Where a person throws paper towels was overflowing onto the floor. This was about 130 in the afternoon. We felt like we were being rushed. The peanut bucket was 1/2 full The meal was only so so. We have eaten a Logan's before and it was good. Was going to order the 2 for 14.99 meal but noticed it would cost $2 more per person for steak. this was to be your special Monday thru Wednesday 2 for 14.99. We can go somewhere else and get steak dinner 2 for 20 any day of the week so why should we eat at Logan's read more

Server was very friendly and proficient at his job. Wife enjoyed a shrimp plate and I had fish and chips. Shrimp was good. Fish and chips was just ok. We think a lot of noisy atmosphere (that did not bother us) was part of our bill. Not unhappy with the experience but will be a while before we return when in Marion. read more

No chain restaurant should ever rate higher than a 3. Not ever. Not Really. Do I sound like I'm being uncool? Unkind? I'm not. There's a reason. Chain restaurants aren't intended to appeal to any small, select group; they're designed for the middle of the bell curve. So their mantra isn't "great food at any cost!" - it's "Consistency". They always want to do it the same, and they never, ever want to offend. So you won't hear some rabid foody saying, "Blanche, the foie gras is over-seasoned again!", nor will you hear some trucker shrieking, "I wish they'd stop putting truffles on the chicken-fried steak!" These things don't happen because you don't get foodies, truffles or foie gras in chains, and the chicken-fried steak is wonderful because hey - it's unobjectionable! So the whole point of a good chain is that they're clean, non-lethal, non-challenging, make no-one scream, and make almost no-one reach ecstasy (in-laws notwithstanding). If you own a chain franchise, a "3" is pretty much your goal. And hey - there's nothing wrong with that. However, 3 is about the least you should see too. Lower than a "3" usually means a serious problem. And again, no-one says, "My Porterhouse isn't super-rare Again, Reginald!" because no-one expects a chain to make a Porterhouse, much less cook it exactly right (as it taxes the kitchen to do so). Instead, a rating less than a 3 says your hamburger was icy cold... or moving. Or the plate had a heart with "Fred and Alice Forever" written in smudges you could still read. Or maybe the bathrooms were unmentionable. Those are the things that get you 2's and sometimes 1's - and again, they should do. That said, this Roadhouse gets a 2 from me. Here's why: Okay - it's super-crowded and doesn't treat their help very well (no education programs, limited or no insurance, they snag server tips (at least in part) that come through the electronics, &c.). So this means, if there's 2 of you and the place isn't empty, best head for the bar, because no-one wants to tie up a 4-top for 2 customers. And then - as is so often the case at bars like these, you're sitting haunch-to-paunch with your neighbor. Drinks? Nothing special. Standard speed rack with a couple of high-end bourbons (cause hey - this is Southern Illinois!). Drinks are a rock-solid standard 1.2 or so Oz. Mixes are middle of the road boring (see my aforementioned screed about chains and consistency). They pour enough beer so that the lines are clean and the beer is fresh. But the selection is American-SAFE. Budd on tap and the like. Once more, nothing horrible and nothing mentionable. But then comes the food: The Roadhouse advertises they'll cook to spec - including RARE. Good luck with that. I ordered a rare burger and a multi-person discussion ensued. First, the waitress, then her manager, and a few trips to the kitchen. Bottom line: They say NO. The next day, I called the main office and yeah, you're supposed to be able to order Rare. This occurred because there's apparently a high turnaround in help, so they don't all retain the more unusual aspects of the place (see my previous comments on "They don't treat their people well."). When the burger did come, as rare as possible, it was solid, hard, super-well-done. It looked like one of those burgers they soak in a warmth broth all day to keep em warm. The fries were more tired than I was. My friend's steak also wasn't near medium-rare. You could have carved it into a spike and impaled a vampire. Suddenly, without warning, the check appeared, so apparently, no dessert. We paid and tipped, and scarpered, and that's that. When this branch opened, corporate sent down a team of red-hots who were varsity quality. And when I was here soon after the opening, they got a solid 3 (heck - almost a 4!), because everything was spot on. Sadly, this team didn't last long and down we slid. This is try number 2. I'd love to see a place where I could get a rare burger in town. But this place? I'm not sure I'd trust one if they did make it. And who wants to argue? read more

My boss gave me some coupons and I found a sheet for Logans Roadhouse. I had never heard of this place but the food looked good so I decided to check it out. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was awesome. The tea flight was decently priced and had delicious options.
