I enjoy Logan's for what it is. If you know what you like then you're fine. For me, a steak and baked potato is good about anywhere you get them. I thoroughly enjoy their ribeye, it's always been really tender and buttery. I would recommend also getting the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. It's hot but it also lights your fire if you enjoy spicy food. Lunch time burgers are great too. Roadies, or a fried cheese burger,which is a square of fried American cheese on the sandwich, is also good. I'm not a drinker really but any drinks I have got there have also been great. read more

Got there at 3pm, restaurant was 2/3 empty, and we waited 1 full hour due to short staffing. After being seated, waited 30 more minutes for our two specials (2 identical plates), which finally came, TOTALLY ICE COLD, with baked potatoes that had maybe been in oven 20 minutes. They were hard as rocks. Server was so sweet and so tired of all the complaints. She sent the "manager," (he MIGHT have been 20, but I doubt it). Unfortunately, we spaced and left our masks at home. We have 2 hungry kiddos and drove about 20 minutes to come here. We ask for the manager and the host went to get him. This guy is not even wearing his mask as he's standing in the middle of the kitchen. I can understand being turned away if this mandate is enforced 100% of the time. But for the manager and 2 other employees walking around without masks and for us being turned away for not having masks just to walk to our table is sad. Tried this Logan's for lunch. Food never came out! Everyone around us was served, even those who were seated after us. Asked for the manager, no one ever came out. We walked out, told them we were walking out , they just stood there!! The Logan's in Murfreesboro closed because it was Awful, I hope the same for this one. In the past I've always enjoyed Logans. This Smyrna location, however, is horrible! My wife and I went there recently and couldn't find a single positive note to build on. The kitchen staff was so loud that everybody in our section could hear them talking about how high they got last night and talking about their sexual exploits with "that whore". We weren't thrilled but blew it off as minimum wage thugs talking trash. Then the drinks showed up. We got a moonshine flight that was terrible. It was mostly soda water and the only flavor was a seltzer taste. We sent them back, got an apology and a new flight. They were just as bad but we sipped on them instead of making a scene. We were a little embarrassed about sending the first flight back because it was the first time we'd ever sent anything back and tried to make the best of it instead of switching over to being the problem couple in the corner. Here comes the food! Yay! ... no... we both ordered The Logan, medium well, and the surface of the steak was the only part browned. They were 2 of the bloodiest steaks I've ever received. Apparently the kitchen staff was still high. We couldn't eat it like that and all the blood made us lose our appetite. It was gross. Honestly, it wasn't just a little pink. It wasn't even warm in the middle! Once they were cut into, it released a pool of blood that filled the entire plate of food. I'm gonna need a manager now. He made his way to our table and asked if we'd like him to microwave the steak? Are you serious??? No thanks! "Ok, well, I'm going to remove one of the steaks from your bill". Remove one steak? They're both raw! The manager was horrible. The cook was horrible. The bartender was horrible. We left having paid for 1 steak and 2 moonshine flights plus a tip for the waitress, who was just a victim of working in a shithole! So, I spent about $50 on absolutely nothing and hit McDonalds on the way home. Needless to say, I'll NEVER set foot in that place again and I recommend that you don't either! I feel like they stole from me. I lost $50 and 2 hours of my life. Logans used to be my favorite place to eat, now our local market has 10 steakhouses in a 10 mile radius. You didn't just lose my wife and I, I tell this story every time I hear the name Logans mentioned among friends. I love Logan's I always get the wood grill chicken. This Logan Location needs to get better employees that actually care. I was in Saturday and after everyone on the table got their food half way already eaten the waitress comes back to tell us the soup we ordered was not prepped last night and that it would be another 6 mins if he still wanted it. Upon being seated we were greeted with a very apathetic waitress. they were out of sweet tea, and upon ordering dinner, both my grandfather and my boyfriend wanted to get their "signature" prime rib they're so known for, and the waitress replied "sorry we are out of prime rib, we actually only serve it on the weekends." remind y'all that it was a SUNDAY, which is the weekend? one of the sole reasons we chose logan's was for their prime rib, sadly. i ordered a Medium new york strip, and they took a very long time to bring anything out, and they only refilled my drink once the entire time we were seated. we arrived around 6pm and had to wait 36 minutes to be seated, and didn't get our food brought to us at 7:45. it was a very unpleasant experience, and any time we tried to ask the waitress for something she just quickly ran off before we even had the time to say anything. when they finally brought out my Medium strip, i cut into it and it was basically blue rare. seared for maybe 2 seconds on each side, and even though it was wrong, i had put up with so much i just tried to eat it and ate the sides after i gave up. my dog loved it tho! don't waste your time here, this place should probably close down at the rate their going at. read more

It's hard to mess up a steakhouse concept. They are everywhere, and one is usually just like any other. (Except for Lone Star - love that place!) We waited for about 5 minutes to be seated, which is not too bad since we were there during the dinner rush. The hostess seemed really flustered. Our server was not friendly at all. We had to consistently ask for drink refills, although she kept returning to our table to see if we needed anything. "Ummm...yes...the drinks we asked for the last 4 times you were here." I had the Logan Sirloin. It was cooked the way I had asked for it, which is a big plus. Just too much salt on all of the food. Way over seasoned. Lettuce on the house salad was "toasted" - well past ever being fresh. Prices were decent, but probably won't be back. Customer service is a big issue for them. read more

I understand that servers get treated poorly oftentimes, but having several friends who are servers, I am not one of those people. You have to learn to leave bad experiences with one customer out of interactions with new customers. It's just the way it goes. My husband ordered the prime rib and a baked potato. He ordered it medium, and it came out rare. It was tasteless. Not seasoned. The only flavor was in the sauce that was poured over it. I ordered the Roadhouse Burger which was also flavorless and had probably 10 pickles atop it, so all you could taste were pickles. My mother's meatloaf was burnt. My mother in law's ribs were dry. My son's Mac and Cheese was powdery. I even opted for the "premium side" of three cheese mac, since I didn't want him to have the children's version which was Kraft. The premium side was also Kraft, I suspect. Seriously? It was a horrible meal and a horrible experience and we will NOT be back. read more

This was probably the worst food I've had in a while. I ordered a prime rib dinner with a baked potato. Prime rib came out with some sauce on it that was what was flavoring the meat. Took a bite without sauce and it had no flavor. Not even salt. I've never had to salt and pepper my prime rib in any other Logan's. Potato was bland too. My wife got a burger and it came with what seemed like 7 pickles on top so that's all you could taste. I would not recommend eating here if you enjoy food. About 2 months ago I wrote a negative review about our local Logans I was went an email saying someone would contact me about our visit. No one ever did but I received an email with a $30 gift card attached . We were willing to go again. I always allow extra time to be seated after church on Sunday, most restaurants are busy, we were told we had about a 40 minute wait , that turned into a 70 minute wait After 15 minutes a server took our drink order, 10 minutes later we got our drinks. The server took our order 15 minutes later we got our salads. After 15 more minutes we received our food My steak was medium well,instead of medium rare as the pink marker on the steak said........it was dry and tough. The server offered to have it redone , I said no, I didn't want the rest of the family to have to wait. They did remove the steak off the ticket. Since we were celebrating my husband's birthday , he had prime rib, it too was over cooked , and logans managed to serve the toughest prime rib he's had any where. My daughters bun on her chicken sandwich was burnt on the bottom . Two people in the family had no problems at all. I don't want to hear from Logans this time.....we are done with the Smyrna store. The bar is large, and has several TV's with local team coverage playing every time I stop in. The bartender, Troy, is accommodating and always keeps in touch in case you need something extra during your stay. You'll also catch some friendly "sass" between the bar staff and wait staff -- always good for a smile. Food quality is good enough to keep me coming back when I'm in the area. The steaks are thick and juicy with a light seasoning that hits the spot. The ribeye steak is always a pleaser, with the signature "Logan" NY strip steak a good alternative in size and price. Today is veterans day and I think this restaurant has overwhelmed themselves. They have let people come in, take our order and wait...and waut. . and wait for 1 hour from the time we were seated. I think they just let everyone know that their kitchen can only accommodate half of what their restaurant capacity can handle. I am wondering how they estimated their capacity in their kitchen to cook vs the orders that comes in. or are they under staff and did not prepare for this veterans. My sister and brother-in-law were in town and wanted a good steak so we picked Logan's, but that was a mistake. My steak was tough and my ribs were dry and overcooked. The coleslaw was very bland and no dressing. My husband did not get any dipping sauce for his chicken tenders. Good food, though they can never seem to get my steak right! How hard is it to cremate! When I say well done to the point of burnt, I think my intention is clear yet it comes out to me with red/pink in the center. The thing was so rare, that I could've put a Band-Aid on it and it would be back out in the field grazing. If I wanted my steak that way, I would just go to a farm and attack a cow and take a bite out of it then and there. I'd like my food well done! That means so burnt to the point of being cremated that you would need to call a priest to come give it last rights. This is not the first time that I've had this issue at Logan's. I've been to this location several times. It's never amazing, but it's a good steak for a reasonable price. Plus, moonshine flights. Tonight was an exception, and one that will make me never return. We showed up, and got seated right away (which should be a red flag for 7:00 on a Friday night on Sam Ridley) ordered drinks (moonshine flights) when we got them, they were clear, which they should not be. They should be cloudy like lemonade. They tasted like they had zero liquor, and like coke with no syrup. We sent them back, only to be brought back the same exact thing. Whatever. We'll drink the damn things. Next, I had ordered a steak, medium well. I don't do well with blood, and hate the consistency of undercooked meat. They bring me a piece of meet that could still moo. It made me sick just looking at it. I had the waitress take it back, and just remove it from the bill. My husbands steak was also undercooked, but not as drastically as mine. The manager came over to check on us, and while being told of the terrible experience, didn't apologize or try to make things better, simply said the steak was taken off of my bill, and to have a good night. I NEVER complain about my food, ever. Tonight was the first time I've ever sent something back because it wasn't right, or even complained in a restaurant. Here recently they changed the menu () and priced have gone up along with menu items taken off. I always loved to get the roadies or fried/grilled catfish but not anymore! James, the most outstanding Kitchen Manager, delivered our meals for 80+ people - he was punctual and he made sure everything was set up and the way it should be before leaving.
