The store itself is by Washington Square park so it's super convenient to get to. Toby from Falcon Locksmith is the best; if I could give 10 stars I would!…read more My tenant returned home from holiday last night and when she attempted to open the door the cylinder spinned until it came out of the lock. I found Falcon on Yelp and requested a quote; Toby responded in less than 2 mins. I sent him a pic of the lock and he sent me a quote right back. Toby was able to get to the apt in about 20 mins and get my tenant in the door. He called and gave me the options of either replacing the cylinder or the entire lock; I asked if replacing the cylinder would fix the issue and he advised that he would put in a new cylinder to see how the lock performs. I told Toby if the cylinder didn't fix the issue we would just replace the entire lock. We got off the phone and not long after I received a call advising the work was completed and the cylinder replacement worked, which saved me approximately $150. Toby didn't try to take advantage of the situation and force a new lock on me like some other locksmith's would have, he was honest and did what was needed to resolve the issue. Toby is a man of integrity and I appreciate that, especially in the times we are currently in where everyone is a scammer. I will definitely call on Toby again if the need arises!

If you need to get into your apartment, don't expect a non-invasive way of getting in, like lock picking, key cutting, or lock bumping, they go straight to drilling through the lock, which any joe schmo can do. When I called Eddie back to set up the appointment for the next morning, he was kind and courteous. They give an up front flat rate fee, which might sound high at first, but don't be fooled - all of these locksmiths make up prices but don't stick to them and once they are done with your lock, the price changes and it's always higher than was quoted. Well, not with Advantage, they charged me exactly what they told me they would and nothing more. Had I gone with the other companies in the neighborhood, I would have been out at least $150, but in this case I skipped by under $100. When the locksmith, Sam, came the next morning, it took him only 10 minutes to pick what he said was a rather difficult lock. I was pretty impressed, and am too afraid to ask what he did in his former...er..career. Anyways he was also nice and efficient. No shadiness at all.
