This is my absolute favorite place to get yummy pastries and drinks! Featuring Vietnamese style bread, everything is made in house and is fresh and delicious! It can get extremely busy so I dont suggest coming on a day that you're in a rush unless you have the app and order ahead of time! The pastries can sell out faster than they're being made so I suggest trying a variety of items! I usually stock up for the week so I have a yummy treat at home. The seating is limited so I usually just grab and go. Come give them a try!
Dropped in to grab pastries for Bible study and decided to treat myself to a caramel macchiato slice as well. Unfortunately, it wasn't to my taste, but there's a first time for everything! The service was great, though, and I appreciated the friendly experience.
If you love mango or seasonal flavors this will definitely be your new favorite spot! I visited especially to try the new seasonal mango pastries and desserts. I got 6 items all for less than $20. They were all great and each one was unique in its flavor and style. I MUST recommend the mango and coconut smoothie it was incredible! I still have more desserts to try, but the staff was very helpful and gave me more mango recommendations for next time. The store is clean and organized, they can get quite busy inside, but the staff works quickly as to not have long waits. This is great place to bring friends if you want to impress them and I cannot wait to return.
Excellent counter service. I imagine that if you arrive at 6pm at any bakery, chances are most goods have already been picked over. Such is the case today which is a really great indicator - all items are baked fresh daily and all items sold must be delicious! We purchased only a couple of items off the shelves and took home a whole mango crème cake - everything was delicious! Sign up for their app and get a complimentary beverage. Will try another visit earlier in the day for the full experience
I stopped by 85°C Bakery right at opening to pick up treats for work and was honestly disappointed with the experience. There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.

My favorite pastry was a croissant stuffed with a cream and strawberry filling, top with fresh strawberries. We also enjoyed milk tea with Boba. Overall an enjoyable experience. It was a bit warm inside the restaurant. A/C in need of repair, fans running helped a bit.
I desperately need one of these places in my area of north Nashville as it's the best of a Japanese konbini & French style bakery, & drink shop all rolled into one. My sister & I bought milk toast, a berry tart, hokkaido custard bun, matcha red bean bun, jalapeño cream cheese, milk tea, & a chocolate bun before going over to the Tesco mart to have some shopping fun. Everything was good & if I did have one near me I'd be 100lbs bigger from binging my favorite Japanese style pastries all the time. The selection here is unmatched.
I've visited several 85°C Bakery locations in Austin and Houston, so I was ecstatic when San Antonio finally got one. It's been a long time coming. They have a solid rotating selection of pastries, with specials that usually line up with whatever they're featuring that day or week, so there's almost always something new to try. Beyond the pastries, their drink selection is just as strong, and my go-to is hands down their sea salt drinks. Consistently good and hard to skip once you're hooked. I also appreciate the little conveniences: there's an app to earn points and discounts, and they accept Apple Pay, which makes popping in quick and easy. The only drawback is parking. Between the surrounding businesses-and especially now that Teso Life opened next door-finding a spot can be a bit of a challenge during busy times. That said, the quality, variety, and familiarity of 85°C make it worth it. A welcome addition to San Antonio, and a spot I'll keep coming back to.

Everything looked really appealing and the workers were quick to complete orders. We didn't try any drink so I can't speak on that department, but the service was kind and the restaurant was really clean, but there was limited seating, trying the pastries. They were pretty good, but having tried multiple they kind of start to taste very very similar so even though there may actually be a variety in their "different products "they really do taste quite the same despite this for the price. I'd say this is definitely a good option, especially in comparison to places like Starbucks a cake pop is three dollars and some change at least here you could buy about three pastries for that same price I would probably come here again maybe earlier in the day to try some more products and their drinks but as of now this isn't a bad place to stop either with the experience I had I would come back again.
Recommend: Maybe. I prefer the HEB bakery. HEB bakeries offer fresher picks and for less. Food: Purchased a spinach pastry and an egg tart. I had the for breakfast the following day and they were good. Service: Counter checkout was fast. I wasn't greeted or checked on by anyone. Ambiance: reminds me of La Madeline or Panera Bread. It may have been busy before I got there but the place looked like it needed cleaning/sweeping.
Love stopping by 85°C for drinks and a chill vibe. The seasonal mango drinks are always a hit -- super refreshing and not too sweet. My go-to is the strawberry boba milk tea, which is creamy and flavorful with perfectly chewy boba. The ambiance is really nice and makes it a great place to hang out or take a break. Consistently good drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. Service moves really fast with the kiosk ordering system. Would definitely come back!
The best! I love the calm scenery. It's very clean and everyone is so nice. Today I got a boatload of birthday treats. Hokkaido bun, marble tarot, blueberry cheesecake yum to all. I can't wait until more come out here
I have to say this was a pretty good spot for coffee and cake. There was a variety of cakes and tasty sweets, plus some coffee and tea beverages. The desserts were very well prepared, and some of them were not too sweet, which is perfect. Prices, which I thought would be on the high-end, were fairly reasonable. Service was very quick and friendly. And of course, the place was the ideal decor for flawless pictures. Perhaps, my single issue, would be the lack of seating. There isn't enough seating and many were standing around waiting for tables to clear up. It does rush the patrons sitting down having conversation and dessert, but it makes it uncomfortable because that area gets very crowded. Otherwise, this is the absolute dessert spot.
We've been regulars at this 85°C location since it opened, and we've always loved the pastries and the customer service--especially when the Filipina manager was still here. She really kept the place clean, organized, and running smoothly, even when it was busy. Since she left, though, the cleanliness and orderliness have been pretty inconsistent. The staff still tries their best, but during busy times, the cafe and even the restrooms can definitely use more attention. On our recent visit, we redeemed a free 8-inch chocolate mouse cake with our points. I pre-ordered it Friday for Saturday morning and noted that it was for a birthday. I arrived 10 minutes early, but still had to wait another 15 minutes just for the oval "Happy Birthday" sign. I figured ordering ahead meant everything would be ready. The cake was still good, and we continue to enjoy their pastries and baked goods. Just taking off one star because we really miss how clean, organized, and well-managed this place used to be. I came back to this place to give it another shot. The last time I came I was severely disappointed because while the items I chose looked delicious and were inexpensive I didn't taste anything. I was also shocked by the hype everyone had about this place as well. After the crowd died down I looked at everything they had and picked a few more items. Finally got the chance to stop by thisbakery. I was just going to get a coffee, but all the breads and pastries called my name. I ended up getting a pastry with guava and cheese and one with red bean paste. For my coffee, I got the most popular which is the sea salt coffee. I was majorly impressed. It was good. Even a non coffee drinker would like it. Next time I will ask for less sugar. They have all kinds of pastries. Some are refrigerated. Some are not. They also have bread. Prices are reasonable. For two pastries and a coffee I paid a little over eight dollars. The only interaction you have a staff member is when you go order and pay, but they all were very friendly. Parking is available on site, but shared with the other businesses. Do be aware of that teso is right next to it and they are super popular right now. Parking was hard to come by on Sunday afternoon. They have inside seating. read more
I've stopped by this 85 degrees often, probably about once every month or two. The prices are reasonable for bakery items and range about $2-5 depending on the size. They also have freshly baked bread and other sweets along with drinks. The desserts are not too sweet and you can easily grab much more than you expected! I usually have the app ready because you can get points and also special savings. I enjoy their milk teas and coffees. I found their pumpkin spice coffee to be too sweet but the salted coffees are great. They also sometimes have specialty themed bakery items for holidays such as Halloween or Mid-Autumn and Christmas. About 15-20 tables and seats are available for dine-in and the line can get quite long. Most people seem to take to-go. read more
I love this bakery! Their breads are so soft and yummy and their drinks are also good! This location is a bit far from us, but when we're around the area, I always have to stop by. Service is always great, they have enough seating so it's nice to hang out and have pastries and boba. If you want to see all that they offer, better make sure you come early. read more

Came here for the boba, we got there around 6 I believe and they were already out of pastries. Considering they close a few hours after, I wish they would plan better but I guess selling out for them is better than having the pastries out all day. It was pretty busy when we got there even at this time but we found a table to sit and enjoy our drinks. The Boba was very good. read more
I felt like some sweet bread and since I was near the "85C Bakery Cafe" I had to stop. The reason for the stop is this bakery offers pastries that are delicious but not overly sweet they managed to get a proper balance of sweetness. This Asian Bakery has a great selection of pastries, cakes, coffees, bubble teas and sandwiches. So this place has plenty seats but when I went it was kinda late so the selection was lacking but still was able to get a good variety and a Sea Salt Caramel Coffee that absolutely delicious. The bakery is next to a unique Asian store so the vibe is really great addition to the area. I highly recommend this place. read more

We tried their soufflé cheesecake ($18) and their tiramisu cake ($40). The soufflé cheesecake was light, a little jiggly, and very creamy. It was a perfect amount of sweetness. The tiramisu cake was delicious as well. I wish I tasted more of the coffee or espresso flavor. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the cakes here! The BEST bakery! I'm a huge fan of 85 and am so happy San Antonio now has one! I've been to this location a couple of times now and it's been busy each time. The place is a little smaller than others I have been to, but it's always well stocked despite the constant rush of customers, the staff is quick in handling the lines, and the food and drinks are so so fresh and yummy. Not to mention, everything is so reasonably priced. The cakes are sweet and rich, the pastries light, fluffy, and deliciously sweet or savory, and the tea fun and refreshing. The only thing I'm missing is the Hokkaido Custard Bun; I'm hoping they have it next time I go! You absolutely MUST visit 85! Especially if you've never been! read more
If you haven't been to @85cbakerycafe on I-10 and DeZavala, you are missing out. There's so much goodness at the store including food and drinks. If you download the app, there are rewards. Sunday's deal was buy 1 coffee and get a slice of cake for $1! We bought the Strawberry Cream Square, Coconut Twist, Pineapple Cake, Egg Tarts, Berrytale, and Milk Pudding. They also sell cakes! An Asian style bakery with lots of bakery items and a variety of drinks! Their pastries are fresh and super affordable! Their dessert section is definitely the star of the show! They serve single portion desserts and cake slices, as well as full sized cakes! I really enjoy their single serve desserts because they're light and airy, even the cream/frosting is light and not too sweet. They were very busy at this time, so we stood in line to check out for around 10 minutes. Overall, I enjoy this bakery but it is very popular and very busy. I love this bakery. Before they opened in San Antonio I used to drive to Austin specifically for it. Everything they serve is so good! The place is always clean even though it is pretty much self serve. You get tongs and a tray and pick whatever you want and pay at the counter. My absolute favorites are the Hokkaido tart and the chocolate mousse cake. I make sure to sample something new on each visit The line is always long during the day but the service is very quick read more

I come here pretty often, and I can say the shop has a very cute interior. Baked goods line half of the walls, with seating right across. They have a kiosk right when you walk for drink orders, but you can also order at the front. The shop is self-serve, so you grab the items you want and take it to the front to pay. The workers are always very nice! I usually get the strawberry cream square and a fudge nut brownie (I didn't get it this time), but I also love the spicy sausage roll and Hokkaido cheese tart. The strawberry cream square is always the perfect sweet treat! It's very delicious, light, and not overly sweet! I love the fresh strawberries on top and the cooked ones in the middle. I can never get tired of this dessert, and I literally always get it when I go. read more

Love coming to this cafe! They have many sweet & savory options to choose from. One of my favs is the ham bread sandwich & the coconut bun. Their staff is always kind and answers any questions you have. My first time coming, I had several questions and they were willing to help! The downsides: The seating area is limited, the coffee is great but does take awhile to get & Sundays are super busy if it's your first time going! Overall, would recommend this place to try out and the prices are fairly reasonable. read more

First time here and it is set up so you're able to browse the cases to choose what they have available. I was looking for milk toast and also bought a pastry and drink. The iced milk & tea was very good the pastry was wrapped loosely in a clear bag on the shelf. It was so light and airy with strawberry cream cheese that had a very good flavor. I'll definitely be returning another day. Very clean eating area and friendly helpful employees. read more
