The owners / workers have the friendliest smile on their face EVERY SINGLE TIME I walk in. There are many donuts that I've met that I didn't like...but none of them were ever from delightful donut. *chefs kiss* Though this is considered a weekly / bi-monthly treat for us, anytime the kids want donuts, my mind is already at * delightful donuts * With two locations on Potranco, they give mom and pop shop vibes x 100. AND who doesn't want a drink with donuts?! I am a sucker for their Vietnamese coffee (hot or iced) and I find myself always craving it. Went for the first time today. Just moved back to the area. They were closing in about 45 mins so not much left. I bought a half dozen of the chocolate raised donuts. I was worried they would taste old since they looked like they had been sitting out but didn't. The first employee was nice and helpful. But the older woman who came out to ring me up wasn't very friendly. FYI- I get a discount with cash. You get a a surcharge with credit card. Might come back to try other items. My family loves this place. It's a local and veteran owned... that's top notch in my book. The donuts are always fresh. The filled are filled at request with whatever your tummy desires... several choices to select from. My personal favorites Bavarian cream and strawberry. Then there's the kolaches.. Oh my they are good!! The bread always tastes fresh out of the oven. We like the sausage kolaches without cheese and the ham and cheese. Great thing is that they offer the smaller traditional sized kolaches but they also offer a bigger ones that are almost twice the size. So bring your appetite, if that tickles your taste buds. One and done. Pulled in at 6:20am. Place is dark- no lights on. Sign says they open at 6am. Eventually someone did turn on the lights/unlock the door. Went this morning to get some fun donuts. Only donuts in the display case were traditional cake donuts. I was hoping for fruity pebbles or Cookie Monster (as I had seen pictured here on Yelp). She said they didn't have any. To try back next week. I thoughts maybe we will. Got home- took one bite of the chocolate old fashioned one and that was enough. Unfortunately the donut tasted like old stale grease. Yes- the power was out this week and perhaps that's why the low supply of variety but as a business- please do not reopen unless you're putting your best foot forward. Second time here. I wasn't impressed the first time but i wanted to give them another shot. The donuts seem fresh enough but they aren't very tasty. The chocolate in the filled glazed is horrible and there was little to no glaze on the outside. Everything seems half assed here, its a shame really cause its in a great location. Just bought our first dozen of doughnuts here. I liked the way they fill-up the doughnuts...they put the fillings in just when you order it. It means the fillings does not seep-in the actual pastry. Though I was told the girl who helped me is still new, she really needs to be attentive and be on her toes. The other guy, I think he owns the place or he's a manager told me she will be ringing my order up while the girl is still washing her hands after finishing packing my doughnuts in the box. Once she's done washing her hands, she left and went to the back area and I waited and have no clue. After about five minutes that's when she got back and still she needed assistance form another girl just to ring up the cash register. Otherwise the doughnuts are fresh and not too sweet. We'll still give this place a chance, it's just in the neighborhood anyway. Hoping we'll get better service next time. read more
