    Chocolate croissant & cortado
    Lois M.

Mmmmm... cortados and croissants - the two best "C" words in the dictionary. Ok, that might be my own bias but if you're a fan like I am, go check out Lark Cafe in West Linn. After weeks of physical therapy just down the block from this place, on PT graduation day I decided to treat myself to a treat (or two) at Lark. The inside is cheerful, clean and pleasant, the counter easy to navigate for ordering and picking up. My cortado was perfectly made, served up in a lowball glass (thank you for glass, not paper!), with a beautiful bit of artwork on the top. The chocolate croissant was fluffy, crispy and flaky on the outside, wonderfully stuffed with delicious chocolate on the inside. Sitting inside, sipping on my cortado, getting crumbs all over the place with my croissant, it was the best graduation gift I could have given myself. PS. Cortados are not on their menu but if you want one, just ask. They were happy to accommodate my request. A cortado is a small-sized drink (about 4-5 oz.) that originated in Spain and consists of equal parts espresso and steamed milk, typically served in a small glass, not a cup. I love them.

The bagel was good, perfectly toasted and my drink and bagel came out fast. Service was amazing to one thing I have to complain about is that the latte tasted bad I don't know if it burnt would be a right word but thats how I would describe it.

Good coffee, lots of seating, pleasant staff and clean. Could improve on the banana bread, no flavor, needs more spices and banana. I'd choose another food item on my next visit.

Omg what a gem! I have lived in WL for 7 years and boy do I regret not coming here sooner! Awesome food menu with lots of options including lunch. Coffee selection was diverse with seasonal drink items which I LOVE to see that feature some of PNWs finest offerings like local honey and lavender. The atmosphere is great with plenty of seating inside and out. The service was awesome and it was super clean. They even have some adorable merch! Easy to say this is my new fav local coffee shop

Located on West Linn's main drag. Car and Bike friendly. Good coffee. Service was fast, friendly and efficient!

Disappointing. Cute place in a great location but not for lunch. The food was tasteless and served on paper plates with plastic forks.

While the ambiance has the potential to create a cozy atmosphere the food and service subpar at best.

So unbelievably SLOW. The staff seems to feel no urgency whatsoever. I don't have 20 minutes to get a drink!

The matcha is 1/10. Went for the first time to try matcha and they don't mix the matcha at all.

Just an FYI, because this place gets busy they request you limit your visit to 1.5 hours. Now the menu. It is vast and everything sounded so good. Between the pastries, the yummy drinks, and the menu items, I had a hard time picking. I went with a muffin and a latte. The blueberry lemon muffin was large and so tasty. I ordered a plain latte to get a baseline on the coffee making skills. It was pretty good. I'll have to try one of the seasonal drinks next time I go. This place is small. Tables are close together. I could hear everyone's business. So keep that in mind. I am going to return when I have a bit more time. Probably a bit earlier in the morning to make sure I can get a table.

Employees are pleasant, and gave excellent recommendations. You order at the counter and they give you a number. You find yourself a table. They have mugs if you consume your coffee in their premises. They also offer to go cups if that is what you want. I ordered the European fried rice. The Portuguese sausage, and avocado complimented it well. They don't skimp on their portions. I also had the mocha which was perfect. Their dessert case looked delightful. Looking forward to returning, and trying other items on their menu, and of course some pastries. Make sure to give Elka Bee's a try.

There are a few tables outside too, complete with propane heaters and umbrellas. We have been coming here with our kids since they were in highchairs. Even so, we were seated as a party of two fairly quickly, which was a great start. The highlight of our visit was definitely the service. Our server was absolutely fantastic--friendly, attentive, quick, and always checking in at just the right times. Honestly, 10/10 service and a big reason we'd come back. As for the food, I'd say it was solid. We skipped some of their popular waffle dishes and stuck with more traditional breakfast options. Everything was well-seasoned, the portions were generous, and we left full. Nothing really stood out as a "wow" dish, but it was a good, satisfying breakfast. The drinks were decent as well. The atmosphere is pretty simple and doesn't have a lot of wow factor, but it feels like a neighborhood breakfast spot where the focus is on good food and even better hospitality. Overall, a solid local place with outstanding service, and next time we'll have to come back and give those famous waffles a try.
