I appreciate the great variety of vegan options. I had the vegan enchiladas and was able to enjoy some vegan sour cream on top! Extremely large portions, which is a huge plus. The side of plantains was also a nice touch. They stay open late, making this a great spot for those late nights when all you want is a big plate of food. Lots of seating, friendly staff, and moderate wait time. Parking is a bit rough, but there is a small lot next door.
The restaurant was decorated very nicely. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. The service was friendly and on point. Parking was pretty easy, street metered - but very walkable if you are from the neighborhood. The food was outstanding. Lola's ended up being a happy accident for us. We originally had plans to eat at Ammatoli, but they had an unexpected emergency closure due to a plumbing issue bummer at first, but it worked out for the best because we had an amazing meal at Lola's. We were a party of four, and everyone had been here a few times before except me, so I was excited to finally check it out. Here's what we ordered: Special of the Day: Pork Shank with Green Mole Sauce - My bf ordered this and really enjoyed it. The plate was HUGE. If you're considering this, just know it can easily be shared by 2-3 people. Mexico City Street Corn - Shared by the table and it was just okay. Salmon Tacos - Light, flavorful, and nicely balanced. A great option if you're in the mood for something a little lighter but still satisfying. Mango Avocado Salad with Grilled Shrimp - My order and it was fantastic. So much flavor, perfectly balanced ,10/10 and an easy favorite. Cochinita Pibil - My gf's go-to order. Regular & Mango Margaritas - Both were tasty and well made. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and I can see how this place could easily get packed, especially during HH. I unfortunately can't recall our server's name, but she did a fantastic job, and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Great food, fun atmosphere, and a save-the-night kind of dinner. We'll definitely be back!
So every time I go, I order the butternut squash and this time I decided to do something different. I got the vegetarian burrito and it was actually a little too spicy for me. Boyfriend got the enchiladas. Everything was OK, but I kind of wish I got the butternut squash enchiladas. Otherwise the service was good. I like the outdoor seated environment and we will be back.
I visited Lola's on July 7th for the first time for a late lunch. I ordered the following (prices as of July 2025): Large Baja Salad ($14.95) + Grilled Chicken (+$4) - Surprisingly very tasty. I enjoyed my Baja salad and definitely recommend adding grilled chicken for extra protein. It comes with crispy romaine lettuce, black beans, avocado, pico de gallo, queso cotija, toasted heirloom corn, tortilla chips, and pepita like dressing. All the ingredients tasted flesh and complemented each other. It wasn't too salty but had just the right amount of flavor. Very delicious and I would recommend this. Jarritos Guava Soda ($14.75) - I enjoy drinking jarritos! I've tried other flavors but this was my first time trying the guava flavor. It didn't disappoint but the guava flavor is on the lighter side. Interior: This is a cute Mexican restaurant that is nicely decorated with tables inside. Customer Service: A sad miss. Our waitress was really nice and had some good recs when we ordered. However, although we came at an off time and there wasn't many patrons, it took some time to get everything from taking our orders, receiving our meals, getting the check, getting the boxes, etc. We had to flag them down several times and they were not that attentive. Parking: The shop is located right next to a paid lot next door. Fortunately, there was one spot left when we arrived! All in all, I wouldn't mind coming back to try out more food. But just keep in mind, if you have a more limited lunch time - this place may not be the best for you.
Authentic Mexican cuisine in the beautiful city of Long Beach. Came in on a Saturday evening and it was busy but we were seated after 15 minutes. Friendly staff and casual decorations. Smaller restaurant with two patios. We opted for booth seating. My kids shared enchiladas and a cheese quesadilla. No complaints. For starters we had to have their cuetes and a side of guacamole.Fresh avocados made for a delicious guacamole.The cuetes consisted of Jalapenos filled with sour cream and cheese wrapped in bacon. Super yummy and not too spicy. Also shared chile verde and a taco trio. The chile verde meat was a little undercooked but the flavors were good and authentic. The best taco from trio was hands down the carnitas. Well cooked with a hint of coke. Also had a michelada which I think has too much mix. I couldn't taste the beer. But their house margaritas are solid. You can taste the real agave tequila with just the perfect blend of flavors. We left happy and content.
Cute dine-in Mexican spot off of 4th Street, quick service and has a full menu of all the greatest hits - tacos, burritos, enchiladas and their signature moles. We weren't super hungry when we came in for lunch so ordered a shared plate of handmade taquitos and one of their holiday specials, the tamale platter. Food came out quickly so the taquitos were still nice and crispy, which I prefer before they inevitably get soggy and smothered with sauce. The tamales were okay, but I am coming to the realization that maybe I just don't Iike the maize flavor of tamales. What I will definitely come back for is their robust menu of agave cocktails - they make their own syrup in house, and every flavor sounds delicious. I ordered their more popular Guava Margarita with mezcal instead of tequila, and it's one of the better drinks I've had in a long time. All I need is one of these margaritas, which are offered for $8-10 during their weekday 3-6 PM happy hour, along with a basket of chips and salsa, and I can happily stay for a long time.
Plenty of choices for seating. Outside patio, inside, and back patio. We sat in the back patio. Very cute. Clean. Service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive. Chips and salsa were good. I really enjoyed their salsa. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas. I hardly see Chicken Milanesa on the menu so when I seen it I knew I had to order it. I also haven't had chicken milanesa in years. Chicken Milanesa was a 10/10. The chicken was perfectly lightly fried and juicy. The garlic tomato sauce they put on top was a great addition. The rice was so delicious. You can really taste the garlic in it. I love garlic. I would definitely order this again and I love that it came with caesar salad. I'll definitely be back.
Nice to have Lola's delivered via Uber Eats. We rarely do delivery (except pizza) so this was a real treat. I must say I was surprised to have it arrive piping hot. Quality vs dining in very similar. Nice surprise! It also arrived quickly. Compliments for both Lola's (packaging) and Uber Eats! Chips and the Green Crack, excellent as always! We ordered side Plantains, again excellent as if we had ordered dine in! Carnitas Plate very tasty. Lola's definitely makes the best Carnitas around. Tender, not fatty or chewy. You can tell it's been cooked right for hours! My husband had the Mole Rose Plate (Steak) and loved it! Our son ordered the Al Pastor Burrito. Of course as usual, lots left over for another meal! Lolo's is one of our favorite local restaurants. Great food! Dining in, great margaritas, that we missed with having our food delivered!

Spectacular Mexican food! I'm so glad TikTok recommended this place because I may have never stumbled upon it otherwise! I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! You can't go wrong with Mexican food! read more
Of all the times I've been here, it's alway been great. The service was amazing and the experience was all great. This visit, we stopped by during happy hour. It's normally taco Tuesday or dinner. It wasn't busy when we arrived. Mainly everyone was seated outside which we wanted a table as well. There was one that we were interested in and asked if we could have it which the waitress working was ok with. But it needed clearing up. It took a while for someone to come out and clear and clean the table up. It was fine waiting but it was like did someone forget about us. Anyways. We got seated and then the waiting continued. It could be that they were short staff but it seemed like there was only one person working. It took a while for someone to finally come back and acknowledge us and take our order. After that the chips and salsa were brought out. Once we ordered the drinks it was easier to place everything together. Menu for happy hour is pretty limited. A few drinks and beer on drafts and for food, maybe 6 items on the menu. Went with an order of the street corn which was quite tasty. An order of the mole chicken nachos and the queso dip with barria. Out of the three, the queso dips and the street corn were great. Nachos were good but nothing really major. The flavors of everything were quite tasty. Dishes were 12.00 an item. For happy hour, it was decent and what we had was good. The service was pretty slow at the beginning. Only the front patio and inside seating was available as the back patio wasn't open. We did start to see other staff walking in so maybe there was only one staff during the time. read more

My favorite brunch spot. I like to order the queso birria tacos and my favorite salad: mango avocado. So fresh! Accommodating service. Servers are always so kind and attentive. They also make great cocktails. Fresh hibiscus juice is our fav with champagne or as is. read more

Tried to go get some chorizo in San Pedro but the location is closed on Mondays. Tarted to head home and decided to stop at Lola's for lunch. It was margarita Monday so hubby ordered that, only $5! He chose the Birria Guadalajara with flour tortillas. Whole garlicky beans and Mexican rice. I had the Chili Verde with flour tortillas, refried beans, and buttery white rice. Serving sizes were large and we both have leftovers for another meal. Lola's is one of our favorite places and I usually try something different each time. read more

Everything was absolutely delicious from the coffee to the nachos and salsa to the main dishes. We decided to eat outside seeing as it was a nice day and their seating set up was pretty cute, service was somewhat slow but overall friendly so that made up for it. Stumbled upon this place while I was in Pasadena this weekend and fell in love! The ambiance and the staff were great!! I seemed like they were short staffed but even so the service was still good. I got chilaquiles and a spiked coffee drink and loved everything. The green salsa they give out with the chips is what really made my meal here. I even added some to my chilaquiles. Would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area :) read more
Visited Lola's last night for taco Tuesday to try out their tacos. First came the chips and salsa, the roasted pepper salsa was pretty spicy but their green creamy salsa was really good. We got the carne asada, chicken, veggie (squash/calabacitas), birria and carnitas. The carne asada and chicken were good, the veggie was also yummy and flavorful. Between birria and carnitas, the carnitas was juicy and flavorful and the birria which was more just the meat without cooking it birria style was super dry (almost no sauce and no consommé either). We were also gonna order the mole to share as it won awards but we were so full so next time. Staff are nice, there is seating outside in the patio out back, inside tables and also in front outside. They are dog friendly outside. Re: parking here - limited parking on 4th street but there is a lot just next door but beware it's like $4.20 an hour read more

Haven't been in years but forgot how much I missed...and the green crack sauce! Had yummy sea bass ceviche and mole enchiladas. The ceviche is my favorite, I actually realized I don't like the taste of mole that much but it was authentic. The margs were fire, not too sweet. The michelada was a thick one too, which is how I like them! Server was great and sitting outside was perfect. Having a cute date to me was as even better. read more

We spent a lot of time searching yelp for a place to have dinner after a day at the convention center, and we finally decided on Lola's. I'm so glad we did! We arrived around 6. It was Saturday night, and they were busy but not crowded. Seating was available immediately on the front and back patios, but it was hot and we decided to wait for an indoor table, which took about 10 minutes. Our server was Kevin, and he was super nice, very friendly and helpful, even clarifying a menu option for my friend that helped her decide what to eat. Everything we had was so delicious. The avocado crema or whatever it is they bring with the chips and salsa was a sign of good things to come! I want that on everything I eat forever. My friend and I shared a plate of the bean and cheese chimis to start, and while they were very good, I kind of wish we hadn't so that I could've finished my entree. I had the al pastor mulitas, and every bite was a wonderful mix of flavors amd textures. My friend had the El Trio taco plate and she enjoyed everything she ate as well. I had the Peach Ring margarita - a special - which tasted exactly like a gummy peach ring candy, and was served with one as a garnish! My friend had the other margarita special, a blood orange one, which was also very good. Both unique and delicious. We don't often do repeat restaurant visits because there's always so many places we want to try, but I think we'll definitely be back to Lola's when we're back in Long Beach. read more

First time at Lola's and tried their Bixby Knolls Burrito, I spotted their new item Bixby Knolls Burrito. It was a great choice and when the chips came I had two choices of salsa. Spicy, and it was a little addictive. The place is small, clean and they even have a back patio. There's also a mini bar. All of this gives it that neighborhood vibe. Lola's is a great little Mexican cuisine spot with great vibes. I was introduced to this spot by my cousin. We met up for some drinks and early dinner. We came in on a Monday and they had delicious $5 margaritas that were made just to my liking. The table side salsa and chips were really good and I like that their salsa was actually spicy. I also tried their burrito which was pretty good but their food are a little on the pricey side for Mexican. However we were pretty happy with our food. The staff is very nice and attentive. They also gave great recommendations. The inside of this spot is cute and casual. It's great for large or smaller groups. I want to come back on Tuesdays for their specials. read more

Really enjoyed my meal here!!! The margarita was so refreshing! The chimis were crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside and the corn was great. Something about that green sauce they serve with the chips too(it's not salsa not spicy at all, but it's excellent) the service was wonderful! Everyone in there was super sweet! The inside is welcoming but both the front and rear patio areas are amazing also!! Definitely need to stop by if you're in the area. read more
Unfortunately, our eyes did not eat first haha! The oaxacan mole and mole poblano were to die for. And the rice on both dishes were perfectly cooked and I could eat a whole dish of just that! Pitcher of Lola's Margarita was great but nothing out of the norm. Still a solid choice! Small restaurant but not overcrowded. Great environment and noise level for a fun night out. Was in town for the weekend and we were recommended this spot. We had reservations right when they opened (so it was not busy) and sat outside on the street side, it was quiet, but just fine for us. I was absolutely amazed the service was so friendly, and our waitress was incredibly accommodating. We were pretty hungover, and she had so much patience with us, which we really appreciated. The salsas were amazing! I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa. I even bought 1 16oz salsa to go! I also had a virgin michelada, and it was sooo delicious. For my main, I ordered the shrimp burrito and added steak. My only small critique is that I wish the chipotle sauce came inside the burrito instead of on top it got a bit messy or at least served on the side. I also tried a bite of my friend's chilaquiles, which were really good. And for dessert, the guava French toast was to die for! The horchata whipped cream on top was absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back to try all their cocktails and explore more of their menu. Overall, this place is a must visit for great service, tasty drinks, and flavorful food. read more

Luck of the Irish today. We nabbed the last parking spot in the lot on the corner. YES!!! We love Lola's. We got our choice of tables from inside to the patio in the front and the back. We chose inside. Hot fresh chips and salsa. Loved that green sauce, whatever it is. I couldn't decide on what to eat, vacillating between taquitos, Sopes, fish tacos or butternut squash enchiladas. The server said we should order the enchiladas. They were delicious with grilled vegetables but the taste of the squash was very low. Ok, bye. read more

Both locations in Long Beach have outdoor seating. Im not sure how many can be seated but location on Atlantic is better for groups of 10+

I believe it's GF because I am and I'm pretty sure they said yes. But green sauce has eggs, not sure about dairy dairy.

Not inside the restaurant, but up and down fourth street on some weekends.

yes there is a little patio outside the restaurant and I have seen dogs outfront.

Yes! I absolutely loved it, not too sweet
