Nine of us for happy hour. And we are happy. Nathan was our server. We maximizes the drinks. I had gumbo and so did three others. There was grilled okra on the top with white rice. Nicely done. A side of corn bread. Very rich. Two Caesar salads. Nice slab of grilled chicken or grilled shrimp. Both were tasty. Hot cheeto Mac and cheese was 'amazing'. The drinks were great. Sangrias, martini and a number of mixed drinks. Everyone asked for grits and shrimp. They need to bring it back.
Food was decent, the service was friendly, and the seating areas were one of the highlights. Showed up right between transitioning between their normal menu and happy hour so was able to order from both. There's a side patio, a front patio, and an indoor dining area, all set within a space designed to feel like a home which felt like a quaint and welcoming environment. It's also dog-friendly, so that's a nice bonus for those bringing their pets along. The main drawback is parking. Spaces in the lot behind the restaurant are limited, so you may need to rely on street parking.
Really yummy food. Really good vibe. Service was kind and on point. I'd recommend the beignets, chocolate cake, and French fries, and biscuits!! We also ordered the bratwurst (it was ok), the burger (it was just a basic cheese burger), and the chicken sandwich (chicken was crispy and moist).
Good vibes place to meet with my gfs for brunch! The staff were so accommodating, especially since we had a newborn. They moved us from the cramped bar area to the other side where there's another patio (also very small but we managed) the drinks we ordered were very refreshing cocktails! I believe the one I ordered was an orange juice cocktail mixed with passion fruit. It was yummy! I ordered the lobster tail which was okay but lacking the lobster meat for a $33 plate. I should've stuck with the suggested ones which were the eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito but I didn't feel like having "breakfast". I would come back to try other things on the menu. It was beautiful weather so the outside patio was perfect.
The Attic has been one of my favorite spots since before I even moved to Long Beach. I definitely need to try more of their menu, but my go-to is always the mac and cheese with Hot Cheetos it's not just hype, there's a reason it's the number one recommended dish. The mac and cheese is made perfectly, and the cheese melts so well with the Hot Cheetos. It's also dog friendly, which makes the experience even better. My dog can get a little anxious and vocal, so I'm mindful and head out once he starts getting chatty The service is always amazing, and the building itself is a must see.. it honestly feels like you're in a home enjoying a really nice meal.
What a great brunch spot! The Attic was recommended to us by a friend, and we had the best time here grabbing an early brunch when driving between LA and the OC. Service was amazing and food was great. We were actually told that everything was made fresh here, and if we wanted something that wasn't on the menu just to ask. It's a cozy location with an interesting build out around the house which is where the Attic is located. PROPS: Amazing food and service SLOPS: Parking is very limited behind this location, and nearby.
I have NO clue how it's taken me this long to finally try The Attic. I've lived the majority of my life in Long Beach and somehow never came here. I will say an ex of mine did bring me a takeout Mac & cheese (Cheetos) take out plate from here many years ago which I thought was good, but a little gimmicky to me... but now that I finally had the chance to dine-in here, I understand the hype. We had an excellent server (don't recall her name unfortunately) for the entire meal which made the experience great. She recommended us a great refreshing alcoholic beverage (considering I had a hangover anyways) and we were torn between several food options but ended up with the cheese burger and breakfast Sammie since we both wanted to try both items and figured we could just split. Both were delicious, but I really have to hand it to the breakfast sandwich. Everything hit perfectly and my taste buds were very happy. We both agreed with this. I'd rate the breakfast sandwich a solid 9/10 and the cheeseburger an 8.2/10. Both very great options, Love the vibe of this place. It seems like it used to be a house back in the day which became converted into a restaurant and/or business at some point. Will be back again!
We walked up and we're greeted immediately by Jordan who is completely lovely. We sat outside as the weather was good and there weren't too many people. We ordered from the happy hour menu. My fiancee got gumbo and I got the Attic cheeseburger. It was one of the best burgers Ive ever eaten and I don't say that lightly as a burger lover. Fiancee loved the creamy gumbo. Our water was constantly being refilled and we were being checked on. Great! For dessert I got the affogato and it was delicious. Perfect balance of hot and cold.
I like this spot when shopping on Broadway. There is a small parking lot in the back, which really helps on the busy street which speaking of, the patio is pleasant to dine on. Everything thing we shared was well flavored and balanced. The only hiccup was the service being a bit slow. Very nice service, so it is more of a staffing issue than anything else.
Best brunch spot in Long Beach! Or dare I saw allll of Los Angeles?!? It's the chef(s), the ambiance and the service that make this quaint spot perfection! There is a small lot in the back to park or plenty of street parking. It has a large outdoor dining section and cute bar, and is VERY dog friendly as well! (They even have a dog menu!!) They have inside seating too and it's an old, vintage house converted into this charming restaurant space. The bathrooms are clean and large! I can't say enough about literally every menu item here, but I'll highlight some. The menu is so eclectic but boasts southern upscale cuisine and it is unique, creative and very satisfying! The brunch menu is king, in my opinion, and is served every day until three, so if you're a late riser, you can't miss out on this late brunch, that is the best (again) in Long beach! I love the stone rice bowl-the flavors will change your life! The BEC is also phenomenal-it's a McDonald's style huge hash brown patty, topped with bacon and yummy scrambled eggs! It's unique and fabulous! I also adore the Nashville chicken sandwich. The flavor combinations in it are mouthwatering and it's better than any other chicken sandwich I've ever had! The chocolate cake should NOT be slept on and their beignets (yes!!!) are fresh and craveworthy. The happy hour is awesome for happy hour seekers like myself. Discounted craft cocktails, beer and wine and I recommend the Bon Temps! I love the happy hour burger-TRUST ME on that and thank me later! Fries are hand cut and amazing as well! The service is perfection and the staff is friendly, polished and top notch. I almost didn't want to write a review because I almost ALMOST just eat to keep this hidden gem to myself! But I have to give them credit for all that they are. Try them out immediately!!
We came on a weekday so getting a table quickly wasn't an issue. Points for the service. The hostess and server were good. The restaurant has multiple parts. There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.

Citrus Sea Bream. Again, this dish was average; salad that came with it was good. Server and wait staff were all excellent; friendly and attentive. Dirty dishes were removed quickly. Nice covered patio with heat lamp and music was playing. Small parking lot and street parking available.

Short sum: homey vibes, good food and drinks and friendly staff Pros: - Easy to make a reservation and we're accommodating to add one more person. - Love the staff. Parking is hard. They have a lot on the back but it's always full. You need to try on the streets. The further away the easier you'll find a spot. It took 20 min to be sat. We arrived in a Friday around noon It took a while for us to get our order taken and for food to arrive. Truly that was the longest part. A table who got here before us was served before we were. It was getting pretty long We got the buscits which was a let down. They were cold. A bit hard and the butter was unable to be spread. The gumbo was less flavorful and if you are used to more flavorful gumbos then this one isn't for you. It it's more tamed. The rice was a little dry. It tasted like it could come from a package. The best part was the meat serving. The eggs Benedict were perfect. I loved the lemon salad that was served with it. The cut inside the eggs was great and cooked well. I would come back just to try more entrees. Avoid the biscuits unless you have them with gravy. Then let us know. The place is small with outside and inside seating. I attached a video of the view inside. We paid about $50 with tip for the three things and truly it was a good experience. If you like Bloody Marys I would say to come try because we noticed nearly every table getting served one. read more

Really yummy food. Really good vibe. Service was kind and on point. I'd recommend the beignets, chocolate cake, and French fries, and biscuits!! Our meal was amazing! We had a reservation but seating was plentiful on a Monday evening. The location is super cute and although most seating is outside they had heat lamps and transparent wall covers to keep the warmth in. I had the new South Eastern Pork Rib on a rice cake and it was amazing. It was Crunchy, sweet, and so tasty. read more

Amazing food all around, but the biscuits truly stole the show. Not many brunch spots have mastered the art of a great biscuit, but The Attic absolutely has. Fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The menu is full of cool, creative, and interesting items--one of those places where everything sounds good and you immediately start planning a return visit. Thank you to The Attic for making my first meal in Long Beach such a great one. Definitely a spot worth coming back to. Shoutout to our great server Chole! BB read more

10/10 Gumbo. Perfectly seasoned and very comforting on a cold day! I would definitely come back for this dish. As for whether or not it's authentic, I really couldn't tell you haha but it was still very yummy. We sat indoor and it was still quite chilly as if we were seated outside (but we did sit by the door). Just keep that in mind for all yall that is weak to the cold like me! It's decorated very nicely for the holidays right now and is a cute place to have brunch with friends. read more

My husband and I went for a date night early this week. We sat inside to avoid the cold (though it was still rather chilly inside) but the Christmas vibes inside were perfect. We loved the cornbread!! So delish. We split the burger and the bone marrow shepherds pie. We enjoyed our meal. I felt everything was maybe a little over peppered, but otherwise I was pleased. Also- order the strawberry lemonade. It's SOOOO GOOD! The staff was very nice and so helpful. The house and ambiance is very homey and cozy. I only saw the outside seating from afar but it looked plentiful and there were heaters. read more
I hadn't been to The Attic in over 10 years, and I'm happy to say it's still just as good as I remember. This spot is well known for their Bloody Marys and is a great place to come for brunch. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very busy--seemed like they were getting ready to close--so we were seated right away. We sat outside on the patio, and since it was a beautiful day, the outdoor seating made the experience even better. The vibe was relaxed and cool, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. For food, we ordered the jambalaya, eggs benedict, and banana pudding for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the bacon-y Bloody Mary, and it definitely hit the spot--flavorful and perfectly made. The Attic has both indoor and outdoor seating, is very dog-friendly, and also has a bar if you prefer to sit at the stools. The restaurant itself is really charming, set inside an old-style home, so it feels like you're eating in someone's house rather than a typical restaurant. Overall, The Attic still delivers great quality food, good service, and a fun, comfortable atmosphere. It's a solid brunch spot, and I'd definitely recommend it. read more

Five stars just for the ricotta french toast. That thing is amazing. We had a late lunch at The Attic and everyone was happy with their food. My wife's deep fried shrimp and chips were excellent, as was my Caesar salad. The four of us shared the french toast for dessert, which totally hit the spot. The. Love their Mac and Cheetos. The ambiance is just really cute here. We did a paint and sip night here once's and it was super fun. Came here a handful of times for brunch and dinner and drinks at the bar and overall the Mac and Cheetos have been the best thing on the menu, at least for me. Parking sucks lol but that's typical for Broadway. read more
Girl dinner has never looked and tasted so dang delightful. Perfectly chilled dirty martinis with the correct amount of olives, crispy Parmesan delicately placed on the finest cesar salad, and gently toasted fries. And how could we not get the hot cheetos & mac?! That creation is sent straight from foodie heaven. Bonus points for the Diet Coke on the side. Service is always smooth sailing and the overall vibe of this place is pure comfort. Love it as always and 10/10 would recommend. read more

The Attic absolutely lives up to the hype. It's got that perfect mix of cozy and elevated -- like brunching at your Southern grandma's house if she also happened to be a chef with a flair for presentation. The vibe is relaxed but still feels special, with that old Craftsman charm and sunlight pouring through the windows. We went for breakfast and kicked things off with the Fries, Mac and Cheetos, Belgian Waffles, and Biscuits & Gravy -- and honestly, not a single miss. The Mac and Cheetos was ridiculous (in the best way possible): creamy, crunchy, and addictive. The Biscuits & Gravy were fluffy and rich without being too heavy, and the Waffles hit that perfect balance of crisp edges and soft center. Even the fries were on point -- seasoned, golden, and clearly not your basic diner fries. The service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and everything came out hot and fresh. You can tell the kitchen actually cares about the food. If you're looking for a breakfast spot that feels like a treat but still has down-to-earth vibes, The Attic is it. Just know parking can be tight and there's usually a wait -- but once you're in, it's worth every minute. Would 100% come back to work through the rest of the menu. read more
Happy Hour Only: This restaurant has been opened since 2012 in Long Beach. During these times, that says a lot about an establishment. This restaurant is known for its solid brunches with southern influences. Unfortunately we were off to an event, so we only got to experience their drinks! Happy hour is from 3:30-5pm and offers a host of cocktails, beers and wine. On the happy hour menu- you can get an espresso martini for seven dollars! Plus a good list of foods that range from burgers to beignets. The service we were provided was wonderful from the bartenders. Our bartender has been working at this restaurant for seven years- and his great customer service shows! The restaurant has a good size patio that is covered and uncovered. Plus an outdoor bar with booths and seating at the bar. In the covered area there are fans but on a hot day it may be too hot to sit outside unless you have a nice cool drink. The inside seating is cute- The inside area is inside of a bungalow- They have a small private room that looks like you are sitting in somebody's dining room. There is a small patio off the dining area too. I look forward to coming back and experiencing their food menu! read more

Charming establishment that offers GR8T food, friendly service, and cosy settings that is perfect for small or large groups of friends and/or family to gather and enjoy an over-all meal. As stated in the attached receipt - we had the shucked fresh oysters, biscuits & sorghum, Grandma's cornbread, the porterhouse, the salmon, and the ratatouille - all very delicious and perfect for sharing....family style - this way we can eat variety of dishes :-) The host and server were attentive and friendly... Highly recommend to all - dinner and brunch - you cannot go wrong. read more

Everything here was amazing. They take reservations. It looks like both indoor and outside seating available. The server was great and also told us about the sister business Nonna Mercato so will have to try that sometime. The food was delicious and filling, but I will say the iced latte was not really good at all. It was very much heavy on the milk and could not taste much coffee. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for LB for a very long time and finally came in to visit. Parking was fine for a Friday evening, mostly street but was able to find the empty parking lot behind the building. The location is a charming house that was super comfortable. My friend brought me here during a gap between our classes and told me it was a fan favorite here in LB. Truth be told, I had never heard of this place but I'm glad he brought me. We were able to be seated almost immediately. After a few recommendations, I settled for the chicken and waffles. I wanted to try the Reuben, as the waiter mentioned it is a more popular option but also limited. They had ran out of them by the time we got there. I was disappointed but it just means I will have to come back to try it another day! The chicken and waffles were pretty good though. It was a fair portion too, not too much and not too little. One giant piece of chicken and one medium sized waffle with a side of gravy and hot honey Tabasco. It all tasted really good and the chicken was super tender and crispy. I can't say I was left disappointed with my choice. Our server constantly checked up on us to see how we were doing and constantly brought us glasses of water. I liked this detail. I could have sworn I reviewed this place before, but either way, I'm happy to do it again! The Attic is hands down my favorite spot to visit whenever I fly into Cali to see family. I recommend it anytime someone asks for a local favorite. The service is always great, and I come here for the Bloody Mary menu, they're basically a meal of their own! My go-tos are the Classic, the Meaty Man, and the Spicy Maria (not quite a Bloody Mary, but still a solid choice). The cocktail menu overall is excellent. Now, onto the food: I highly recommend the mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles. I still have so much left to try, but everything I've had so far has been a hit. The vibe feels like eating at a friend's house that also happens to be a fancy restaurant not sure how else to describe it, lol, but I love it. Parking has never been an issue for me, but a tip: don't block anyone's driveway. The restaurant sits near a neighborhood right behind it, and that's usually where the best parking is. read more

Incredible food and service! Excellent all the way around. We came for dinner and started with the cornbread which was served warm with butter and honey. Delicious and a must! We had Caesar salad, market salad and pork chops. The pork chops were so tender and full of flavor. The combination of peaches and cilantro was so tasty. My husband and I enjoyed it so much. Most dishes are shareable and you will want to because the food is excellent. The restaurant is in a cute little house that has been converted into a restaurant with bar patio on the side. Came here for the first time for brunch! Food was great and there is plenty of seating inside and out. We ordered the chicken and waffles, steak and eggs. Both were great! Our food did take a little bit to come out but it was fresh. Our waitress was great. Defiantly will be back! read more

It's been a long since I've been to a restaurant where everything is great. Cute spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was excellent, the server was attentive and friendly. Everything we had was 10/10. The burger was well cooked, cornbread is out of this world. Nathan was our server and he was amazing! read more
This is not my first time here at the attic so I knew what to expect food wise - as the dish I ordered, Gumbo, is one I came specifically for. It was delicious, everything tasted fresh and flavourful and had a little kick that was perfect for the gloomy weather. Coming in on a Sunday morning around 10am and was seated immediately, there were about 5 other tables sat when I arrived so if you want to beat the rush, go then! The music is always nice and the vibe of the attic is cosy and quaint. My waitress was friendly and checked in on me a good amount, no complaints here. I came in for the last few weeks of their summer menu I believe so I may have to go back soon and see what they have in fall - as the menus are seasonal! read more

There are kid menu items just not listed. Grilled cheese, pasta with butter and noodles, etc.
Dog friendly or nah? It's seems like a chill spot but if pupper is not allowed in the patio it's cool
Dogs are allowed on the patio! There are lots of outdoor tables that could accommodate your pupper!
Do they have parking available if not where can i park?
Yes, but limited maybe like 10 spots. Otherwise use street parking

I don't believe they do. Drink specials are offered from 4-5:30 pm.
Does the outside dining table space have enough room for a stroller to be beside a table?
Im pretty sure they can accommodate you. Getting through the isle with a stroller might be tight.

Through the whole restaurant!
Are there actual vegan options here? The only thing marked vegan on the menu are the fries.
I would call them vegetarian options, not vegan.
Do they have non alcoholic beverages?
Yes, they are a restaurant so they have non-alcoholic drinks on their regular food menu. But their alcoholic drinks are the best! Especially their Bloody Mary's❤
When do they stop serving breakfast (during weekdays)?
They don't, should be an all day menu.
Will they have Thanksgiving brunch?
No they are not open on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
